Hi- I love this template! I have uploaded my site to my server but for whatever reason it doesn’t work in IE. Nothing is responsive. I have the latest version. Any ideas? Maybe something to do with my server?

thanks for the prompt reply-

Hi,

our Live preview is responsive in IE. http://demo.brankic.net/bigbang/streched/index.html

Is it responsive for you in IE?

Hi- yes, your template works on IE until I put it on my server- then it doesn’t. Is there something on my server I should change? Thx so much!

Brankic1979

Hi,

this shouldn’t be hosting related. Is it responsive in other browsers?

Maybe you have some strange setting in your IE which prevents @media queries (which we use for responsive layouts)

Hi,

I bought this template and I wanted to know the best CMS to use to manage this template.

Thanks

Brankic1979

It’s up to you :)

There is already WordPress of this template available here on ThemeForest http://themeforest.net/item/bigbang-responsive-wordpress-template/2826493

Greetings,

I’m still hoping to get assistance with adding a larger logo at the top, while keeping the menu at the bottom of the header. (currently it is top-aligned when a larger logo is used)

Hi Michael,

Add this to Extra CSS
#primary-menu ul {
  padding-top: 60px!important;
}
#logo {
  margin-top: 5px!important;
}

Thanks for your reply.

As before, when I insert the code you gave me (I am in the HTML /CSS version NOT WordPress, BTW ), the menu does indeed move down, but the “sticky menu” when the website is scrolled now is incorrectly bumped down into the page content by the same 80px.

I need the regular menu to move down, but the sticky menu to remain as it is in the base template (and demo).

Any additional advice?

Brankic1979

Hi,

well, this was our best shot. WordPress version has some additional features, so this is the reason why this don’t work as it should :(

I can only suggest o hire some web designer, this should be less than a hour job.

Hi Brankic

First of all I’d like to say great template!

Just wondering if you could help a little and point me in the right direction. I’ve inserted a new logo (logo.png) which proportionally is taller than the one in the sample template. As a result in the verticle alignment in the header is too low in comparison to the menu on the right. How can I push the logo up, so that there is less space above the logo?

Thanks in advance.

Neel

Brankic1979

Hi neelio,

you should change logos top margin, and play around with margins of menu.

Hiya .. is there meant to be a “back to top” for mobile versions?

Brankic1979

Sorry but there is no such an option and we’re not planning to add it :(

That’s fine, I can add it myself, thanks!

Hi Brankic

I’m using the boxed template as a basis, but noticed that there is little horizontal scroll when I view site on a mobile device such as the iPhone 4S, when orientated in portrait. There is no horizontal scroll if I view it in landscape.

I rechecked the the original files I downloaded to see if it was something that I did, but they were also affected. The stretched layout style is not affected.

Can you please tell me how to fix this responsive design bug? I’m guessing somewhere the margin/padding needs to be reduced, but I can’t work out where.

Kind regards

Neel

Hi neelio,

we’ll test it again and let you know what’s the problem.

Hi Brankic,

I browsed throught the comment section but couldn’t find an answer to my questions. Must be there somewhere i guess..

I was wondering in the demo you ‘hightlight’ the current page with a block similar when you hover a menu item. how do i set this ?

Super thanks,

Ankie

Brankic1979

Hi,

I guess you’re asking about WordPress version?

If this is the case, you have to use Menus (Appearance -> Menus)

http://amg-pictures.co.nz/brantome/ It is fine in all other browsers mac and PC. Just IE 8 – but I thought if I changed the top menu z-index it would help?
Brankic1979

IE problems – nothing new.

Yes, z-index change should help…

Yes IE is my worst nightmare!!!

Can you tell me where on the style sheet to change the z-index and how much should it be?

Many thanks :)

Brankic1979

Hi,

In Google Chrome and Firefox (with Firebug) there is an Inspect Element feature. Right click on menu and you’ll see what CSS file and what declaration you have to change. To be sure, add 100000 for z-index :)

How do I change the color of this theme to my own custom colors that are not one of the options? Also, I would like to have an additional different color for the flexslider.

Lastly, I created my website before the responsive update came out for this. What specific code do I need to update and where do I need to update it in order to have my site work with iphone?

Brankic1979

Hi,

to change a color to your own you must have basic CSS knowledge and to edit specific CSS files.

To update the theme you have to update css and javascript files (not html)

Just as “neelio” mentioned earlier:

“I’m using the boxed template as a basis, but noticed that there is little horizontal scroll when I view site on a mobile device such as the iPhone 4S, when orientated in portrait. There is no horizontal scroll if I view it in landscape.”

I’m wondering how this problem can be solved.

Thanks!

Brankic1979

Hi HouseforInterior,

thank you for noticing. We’ll make all the necessary fixes and upload an update during this day. You’ll be informed once update is released. After that you’ll need just to redownload the template and copy/paste all css files.

What is the font that you use in the logo? It’s not Oswald, which is what you seem to use everywhere else in the theme.

Thanks in advance!

Brankic1979

Hi Hardwickj,

the name of the font we used for logo is “Ostrich Sans” and it can be downloaded here.

I really like the theme and would like to use the hexagon view of the portfolio. But Images seem to be streched. Is there a way of not stretching the images in hexagon view?

Brankic1979

Hi,

since you’re using site template you have to crop your images to square and use them for thumb on hexagon portfolio page.

Can I edit this template at Dreamweaver? Will at it appear WYSIWYG ? Does it need database?

Brankic1979

Hi jetfire,

you’ll be able to edit almost everything because almost everything will be WYSIWYG .

However, we must warn you that some elements can’t be visible in Dreamweaver, because jQuery renders some elements.

There is detailed help file where is explained every dynamic element of our template.

Good afternoon,

I’m wondering why all javascript has been put in the head section and not, as generally recommended, at the bottom of the document.

Brankic1979

Hi,

not sure who recommend this, but this is not carved in stone :)

This is how we do, but you can always try to move all scripts to the bottom of document…
