Plus : is it normal that my thumbnails images are not resized but cut?

I answer more frequently on the forum.
Timthumb is working fine. The thumbs are being resized, and the cropping can be set in the the theme setting (how it cut off).
The full width feature images must be at least as wide as the page container (set in the theme settings) to show. And I recommend ta add it with the “Set featured image” functionality. Here’s more information.

Wordpress authors on theme forest are trying to update hundreds of themes right now – have a look, half of them don’t yet work with Firefox 5.0.

I’m having a few problems setting up my mini-site with your theme. I’m fairly new to wordpress, (flash developer) so may be doing something really, really silly.
All i want is
1) Homepage which has an image slider and some information below, which a couple of side widgets
2) gallery page to launch images from thumbnails (My virtual server only has php 5.1.6 so Next Gen wont install)
3) blog page
4) contact us with email form.
you can see from my website that only the contact form looks ok. http://samsungcrescentracing.fixi.com/my ‘Homepage’ seems to use my only ‘post’ and not the layout i’ve used in my ‘Home’ ‘page’.
Gallery seems to bring everything in

So my question is this, how do i make the Page i have created for Home, to appear as my homepage and add an image slider
create a thumbnail gallery (without NextGEN as i cant install php 5.2)
make only my ‘posts’ show up in my blog page
please help, ive tried your documentation and video, but it seems to miss out these simple steps.

When installing the BigFeature theme under Wordpress 3.1.4 I get the following warnings:

When trying to activate the theme I get the following error message:
The active theme is broken. Reverting to the default theme.
What must be done to get this theme working?
you installed the downloaded zip file, unpack it and install the bigfeature zip file inside. Like explained here. It’s done like this so that the theme folder will get the right name so that child themes will work.
Just after downloading and activating it I got the message that the theme isn’t functionable because of missing it’s stylepage. What to do next?

Hi, I have a problem with the french language, the letters with accent as “a” or “e” with an accent on the letters are not detected on the title and descriptions.
Letter like this : à and é or still è or û… (I’m not sure you can see this letters on english computer…)

I recommend to ask in the forum, since I answer there more frequently and there are other users that can help too. Some of the cufon fonts do not have all characters (like vegur), try other fonts. Google fonts are now also implemented in version 1.4.1 though.

Working:I see your notice the new version of the theme coming out this week. For your info so far on BF 1 .4.0.4 & WP 3 .2.1, bfthumbs working properly with custom post type but not with bfslider and or nivoslider.

There will be a fix release out soon, and it has probably been added then. it got an tax parameter though, just create a custom taxonomy and it will work across post types (use the shortcode GUI for explanations).

For some reason the only way I can change colors (to anything) is if I flip on the Cache the settings stylesheet (use css file instead of php) feature. Unfortunately when I do that, it completely jacks up the site (images get bigger and off the post, sidebar 2 goes from the bottom the far right etc, etc)
Any ideas?
your cache file is probably not beeing written to the css folder. make the libarary/css folder writable, delete the optionstyles.css file, and save the theme settings, then check if the css file is written there.

Wondering if there is a way to remove the big feature post fields in the post/pages. It’s a lot to scroll over every post to get to other seo pluggins.

you can just drag and drop the meta boxes, they will stay in their new position.
