Can’t create a username for the support forum. Getting the purchase code not valid. I am sure that the purchase code is right. Need some support fot this please. Regards.

Hi vadi4ek,

Can you confirm that you’re using your Themeforest username to sign up? You need to use vadi4ek for your username. In other words, your username and purchase code must match. If you’re still having issues, just let me know!

Got it! Thanks )

Hi I would like to buy this theme seems to be perfect for me, before : 1 question

Is that possibility to have full frame slideshow on post, like the ones one the pages?

Many thanks Patrice

2winFactor

Hi Patrice,

There’s only one portfolio page by default, but the theme automatically makes pages for individual categories. For example, here’s an illustration page:

http://themewich.com/bigformat/?sort=illustration

You can just link to these pages from wherever you want (like within the menu for instance).

You can add custom semi-transparent backgrounds, but you’d need to add some custom css to your theme options panel. You’d just need to upload your image to your media gallery and enter this into the custom css box:

.lines, .linesmobile {
background: url(http://yoursite.com/yourimage.jpg);
}

Let me know if you have any additional questions,

I love this template!! Before buying, does this template allow me to create galleries and have links to them nested on the navigation bar? I am a photographer and want to create different galleries on the side bar – Landscape, Portraits, Weddings, etc.

Also, can I increase the blog width. I will be posting big pictures and wanted to know if that’s possible. Thanks!

Looking forward to your reply!

2winFactor

Hi Deekayjay,

How the theme works is that you can put each of your portfolio items in a different category. Then, you can add that category page to your menu (Weddings for instance). Here’s an illustration category page:

http://themewich.com/bigformat/?sort=illustration

You’d need to make some modifications to the theme to increase the blog width. There’s no option to do that out of the box.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Andre

Hi there,

Firstly the font looks like a real work of art, great job.

Secondly quick question.

I am looking to possibly purchase the theme later in the year for a video website I am planning on creating ( re-doing my video portfolio/posting a web series ).

Does your theme allow for the embedding of the “Distrify” player ? ( it works similar to Youtube and vimeo ) and would this display full screen if so ?

Many thanks for any response

2winFactor

Hi Spookavenue,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Only youtube and vimeo are supported with the Full-Screen video. You’d need to make some modifications to the theme to add the Distrify player.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Hi,

Why won’t my homepage background image load? Where am I supposed to upload it? Right now I have it set as a featured image on the “HOME” page… but nothing is loading.

Please help!

Figured it out! Please disregard.

Next questions:

1. Having trouble setting up my blog. I keep getting an error page.

2. Does your theme allow cufons? To replace fonts?

Hi, I keep trying to create an account to access the forum but it keeps telling me that I have an invalid purchase code. I purchased this yesterday and have a valid purchase code. It just won’t work when signing up for an account on your forum. Please advise. I can be reached at charlenetcheong@gmail.com.

Hi, pre-purchase query – is there a limit to the number of images that can be shown in the (full-screen) homepage?

Cheers!

2winFactor

Hi Terriandaniels,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Nope – there’s no limit to the number of images you want to show on the homepage. Just keep in mind if you add a super-large amount, it may affect loading time.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hi,

A few questions before buying: 1 There is a overlay pattern in the homepagelider. Can i switch it off? 2 How many images can i upload on the homepage slider? 3 Can i change the color of the arrows at the homepage?

Thanks.

2winFactor

Hi Hanssmeijsters,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1. Yep! You can remove that with a single line of css in the Theme Options.

2. As many as you like! Just be aware that if you add a super large number of images, loading time will increase, as will the likelihood that users won’t go past slide 3 or 4.

3. Those are images, so if you have an image editing program, you only need to edit and reupload those images.

4. Horizontally, it would be hard to customize. This is because the content area of the theme along with the sidebar add up to about 960px wide. Any wider, and your users may get a horizontal scrollbar. Vertically, however, your logo can be as tall as you like.

5. Sure, you can do that with a line of css in the Theme Options panel. I’d be happy to assist you with that.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

great theme. a few pre-purchase questions :

1)i’d like the left nav to link to various different fullscreen “slideshows” like whats on the homepage but representing different categories of photos. for example People, Pets, Places etc. I saw in a couple other responses your link to the Illustration category example. Difference in my case is I don’t want the thumbnail view at all. Just straight to a fullscreen slideshow of People, Pets, or Places images. Is this possible?

2)with the fullscreen slideshow, is it possible to fit the images to the height of the viewable area rather than fill? so no portions of the uploaded images are ever cropped by the viewable area no matter what the aspect ratio? and so i could have a white border around all images if desired? examples www.voorhes.com, www.ryandearth.com.

3)in the fullscreen image view, is it possible to turn off the auto slideshow? so after the first image loads, it stays until user advances to the next image?

4)can text overlays on the fullscreen images be turned off?

5)is it possible to see documentation prior to purchase? figure it might help answer some more questions without having to bother you.

2winFactor

Hi Seuss78,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1) You’d need to make some significant modifications to the theme to get that to work. Basically, you’d need to modify the homepage template code and use it on your category template. I’d be happy to point you in the right direction, but that type of alteration would go beyond the scope of support for the theme.

2) Yep, on individual portfolio pages, that’s just an option in the Theme Options.

3) Yep, that’s just an option in the theme options.

4) Yes, just don’t add any and none will show up!

5) Sure, just shoot me an email via the contact form on my profile page and I’d be glad to send it to you.

Andre, thanks for the prompt reply. This is great. A couple follow-ups :

> correct me if I’m wrong, but could I accomplish the same desired end result by making what i’m calling “categories” (People, Pets, Places) actual Projects in your schema, then link directly to the detail (fullscreen) view of the Project from the left nav. So there would be a link to People from the left nav that would link to a Project called People with say 20-30 images in it which the user could click through in the fullscreen view, skipping the thumbnail Category screen. If they wanted to see images of Pets, they would click a link in the left nav and be brought to a Project called Pets with another 20-30 images of Pets etc. if that makes any sense. or am i misunderstanding how this could work?

> if I wanted to move forward with actually modifying the category template code as you describe above, is that something i could hire you separately to do?

Thanks again. I’ll drop you a line via your contact form for the documentation.

2winFactor

Hi Seuss78,

Sure, you could create portfolio items (like one for “people”) then just add all the people images in there. It wouldn’t “technically” be a category (the individual images wouldn’t each appear as single posts) but that would get you the desired effect.

I’m not available for contract work, however, you may be able to use a service like tweaky or microlancer since it’s such a small project.

I’ll look for your email.

Any other questions, just let me know!

Andre

Hey, I was wondering if it’s possible to easily invert the colour scheme? ie. Dark backgrounds / Light text Or would i have to sift though the css manually? :)

2winFactor

Hi Dazestudio,

There’s no “dark” version of the theme, so any modifications to make it dark would involve custom css. You can add all your custom css via the Theme Options panel (so updating the theme won’t overwrite your changes), but that type of alteration would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. I’d be happy to point you in the right direction, but you’d need to seek the help of a developer for something like that.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hey. I can’t find my purchase code to open an account in the support tab. I’m trying to figure out how to navigate the backend of your theme to get it how I want it.

Just navigate to your Downloads page and click “download” next to the theme. You should see a dropdown menu with your purchase code as an option:

Hello there. I’m thinkin of purchasing your theme but have a couple of questions.

1. For the home page can I make it a static image without slider arrows? 2. Can I change the position of the text on the homepage? 3. Can the full page layout have plain color background 4. Can I choose my own custom colors?

Thanks

2winFactor

Hi Jamanius,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1. Yep, just add only one slide to the homepage and you’ll have a static image without arrows or controls.

2. Yep, you can position the text in 5 different locations. Upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right and centered.

3. Not by default, however you can add some custom css to your custom css box in the Theme Options to extend that functionality.

4. Yes, you can choose your own button and highlight colors to match your brand. Screenshots of that are here:

Very nice theme and super easy install with excellent documentation. A pleasant change compared to other themes I have purchased elsewhere.

One question: do you have the images & content that were uploaded to the live demo? I am interested to know what is the optimum size for the images so that they display full screen over most devices but are not overly large to slow download times. And is there a setting to prevent images from tiling? Many thanks!

2winFactor

Hi Wildsideusa,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

What pages were tiling? Do you have a link to these pages? They should be fitting full-screen, regardless of size. I’d need to see a live version to find out why. To provide you with more efficient, searchable support topics, I ask that all questions be asked on the Support Forum. Could you start a new thread over there with a live version link? I’d be happy to help! Thanks!

Support Forum | Create an Account | Find your Item “Purchase Code”

Andre

thanks for the prompt reply!

The tiling only appears to happen on an iPad so its not the biggest issue. Our site is in active development but you can see it here: http://cannonballism.com/ – it happens on all pages other than the home.

The main question was really about the recommended aspect ratio and full screen image dimensions – do you have a recommendation? many thanks!

2winFactor

Recommended with is 1500px or wider – it shouldn’t matter, though, the theme should make the image fit the width/height no matter what the size. I just checked on ipad and I’m not seeing the issue. Which iOS version are you using? Are you on safari or Chrome?

Andre

Hi 2winFactor,

The theme is not allowing me to add multiple slides. Slide 2, slide 3, slide 4 etc. I can select an image, but the thumbnail does not appear once selected and nothing is added.

We are running 1.29. We changed the design significantly, adding fonts and images. So when it came to update we simply replaced/added the files detailed in the changelog.

Is this to do with the update? Will we have to do a complete re-install?

Very grateful for your time.

Thanks,

Josh

2winFactor

Hi Josh,

It sounds like there may be a javascript issue on your site. A complete reinstall shouldn’t be necessary if we can identify the error. Could you shoot me an email via the contact form on my profile page? I’ll need to take a closer look at your backend to identify the error.

Thanks!

Andre

Hi We bought and installed this item for our client – which loved. He now wants to give users the ability to purchase some of his photographs.

Any suggestions of what we do?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!

There’s a huge number of things you could do. If you’re looking for a shopping cart solution, you may be able to integrate Woocommerce or EasyDigitalDownloads or another shopping cart plugin. For one-offs, you could try something simpler like http://pulleyapp.com/.

Great looking theme! One quick question – on the homepage is it possible to set the side menu to be collapsed (not visible) by default? I would like the slideshow to be front and center when visitors first come to the site.

Thanks.

Default-user

Sorry, one more quick one – in the slideshow is there an option to make the entire image clickable? Not just the button. Thanks!

2winFactor

Hi Bjorn,

That would involve some javascript modifications to the theme. You’ll basically need to flip the javascript function. That type of alteration would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. You’d need to seek the help of a developer for an alteration such as that.

For making the entire image clickable, this isn’t an option from within the theme. This is because clicking the image toggles the navigation sidebar. You’d need to make some modifications to the theme to add this functionality.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Hey Andre! I’m trying to set the video embed in my video portfolio to autoplay. I saw in a previous comment response that I can set the video to autoplay in the video link. What is the correct video link format (for both Vimeo and Youtube videos) to make them autoplay?

Thanks! Björn

Hi

Fantastic theme

Hi have a pre-purchase question in regards to page load time.

If you minify the js and css file will this break the theme. I have purchased ans ajax enable theme on themeforest before and when I added a cache plugin to reduce page load time if broke the theme. When the javascript /css was minifed it stopped working. They loaded all the scripts onto the page which was not the best way to do things.

So I am hoping if I load some high res images I can get the page load time down to something manageable.

cheers

Default-user

Hi also have a second question. Is is possible to have them menu hidden by default?

Can i change the position of the menu so it slides up from the bottom or down from the top?

Can I adjust the position of the content from the left to say center or right aligned ?

again thanks for taking the time to answer thses question

cheers

2winFactor

Hi Keiney,

A lot of the minification depends on what method is minified. I can’t guarantee that it will work 100% when minified. Some minification plugins can cause issues, even though the css/js is completely valid.

To hide the menu by default would involve some alterations to the javascript function. You’d basically need to flip the current functionality in the custom javascript file. If you know anything about javascript it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Andre

I want to lower the opacity of the menu and the pages, so that you can still see the photos in the background. Is this possible?

2winFactor

Hi Mightyfrank, you can lower the opacity of the menu, however, in this theme the menu doesn’t cover any of the image. If you lowered the opacity, you’d just see the black behind it (since the image doesn’t sit behind the menu). You can change the opacity of the pages however, with some simple css in the Theme Options panel.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Default-user

Hi Andre,

Thank you for your help. I’ve lowered the opacity to the pages. My other question was, how do I add a link to the blog to the menu to go to a page that lists all the posts?

Thank you for your help.

Hi !! Fantastic theme

I have three pre-purchase questions.

1. Is it easy to change the background color of the left hand side column, where the menu is?

2. How easy is to use wpml to make the website multilingual?

3. Is it possible when you click on a project on the projects page, to see thumpnails of the images? (instead of the slideshow starting automatically)

2winFactor

Hi Totalcy,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

1. You’ll need to do that with a little bit of custom css in the Theme Options panel. It’s not too difficult – you’d just need to enter something like this in the custom css box:

.navcontainer,
.navhandle {
background-color: #ff0000;
}

2. It’s not “officially” verified by WPML, but I’m told by a few customers that it works well with the theme.

3. What do you mean by thumbnails? Could you elaborate this a bit? Thanks!

Andre

Default-user

Thank you for your reply.

2. WPML – if required, would you be able to help “installing” it?

3. You click projects right? .. and you see 8 images with small description. When you click on the image, a slideshow starts with the images of that gallery. I would like, when i click on one of the 8 images, to see the images of the gallery as small images, and if i click on those images, to see a larger view of them .

2winFactor

Hi Totalcy,

2. I’d be happy to help with any questions about WPML as it pertains to the theme. I highly suggest you check out the WPML documentation, however. I do notice a lot of WPML questions are easily answered by reading the howto and docs for the plugin!

3. That’s not something that’s included with the theme. An alteration like that would go beyond the scope of support. You’d need to seek the help of a 3rd party developer for an alteration such as that.

Andre

Hello,

Great theme! I have a couple of questions before I purchase. I want to use this website for my video showcase.

For the video homepage option, am I able to insert a fullscreen locally hosted looping html5 video? Here is an example.

<video preload="auto" autoplay="true" loop="loop" muted="muted" volume="0"> <source src="video.webm" type="video/webm"> <source src="video.mp4" type="video/mp4"></video>

I also want to be able to have a fullscreen slideshow (same as this http://themewich.com/bigformat/) but have them linking to full screen videos instead of images. Is it possible to watch a video, then close it and continue viewing the slideshow gallery? Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

2winFactor

Hi David,

You can’t put multiple youtube/vimeo videos into a slideshow. Only images work in the fullscreen slideshow. Full screen videos use an entirely different script.

It’s possible to add those other options to the videos. You can directly edit the video embed code to make those the standard in your site, but adding an option for the user would go beyond the scope of support for the theme.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Andre

Default-user

Hi Andre,

Really appreciate your answers, just regarding the slideshow again, with the demo site (http://themewich.com/previews/?product=bigformat), the third slide with the fullscreen video link. Is that just an image which links to a video? I want to be able to do that with multiple slides. Each different image slide that links to a video.

Can you click any part of the image and have it play the video?

Thanks Again

David

2winFactor

Hi David,

You can do that on the homepage (the slides link to projects, and a project can have a video). However, you can’t do that on individual portfolio pages.
