Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

WordPress says the theme is broken, and the stylesheet is missing.

The zip file you downloaded from ThemeForest contains more than just the theme files. Unzip the file, and read the installation-instructions.txt document. If you are only able to install a theme by uploading to WP-Admin, there’s a zip of the theme files only in the www-zip directory.

How do I show the whole post instead of excerpts on the homepage?

You will need to make a manual edit to the home.php template. Open the file and look for any instances of the_excerpt. Change them to the_content, and you’re good-to-go. If you’d like to show full posts on other indexes as well, you’ll need to do the same for the index.php template.
