Is it possible to make the blog full width w/o the sidebar?
hi, just installed the theme, however i can’t activate it. This is what it says:

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template. Name Description themeforest-336949-black-label-fullscreen-video-image-background Stylesheet is missing.

What are the right dimensions for the photos of the slide??? I’m trying with 1280×720 and 900×617 and always expand and do not look like I want.

We just installed the theme and have a problem within video at the main page or front page. We have uploaded the “jwplayer” folder to “wp-content/themes/blacklabel/” that previously we have downloaded from the FAQ section. We have set-up the wordpress permanent links to avoid any issues or bad behaviour because default config.
But… If we set-up a VIMEO or YOUTUBE video, everything is working properly, but if we upload a custom video (format MP4 or FLV ) and then set the complete URL (example: http://www.domain.com/path/video.flv) at field “Background Video” in page options. We cannot see the video, but instead, we see an Vimeo error like telling us “Sorry, There was a problem loading this video.”
Could you tell us something to try to solve this issue???

How many columns are you using?
You can remove that “undefined” if go to your Admin Panel>>Black Label>>Style Options, and add this CSS code:.pp_description{display:none!important;}Also, I add pictures to my portfolio with a tag. But when you click the tag on the top of the page, nothing is happening.
When I do it on my localhosted WP install it works though. I tried to just delete the theme from my webserver, and simply reupload the theme I used for my localhost. But it still wouldn’t work. I have been searching for differences in the WP-settings and so, but can’t find anything.
Do you have an idea?

If you click on all videos you will see that the videos load fine on the page but when you click “read more” the page for the video does not load. this does not work in the wordpress dashboard either when i click on “view page” after creating a portfolio post.

Reset permalinks to default and then set them back to what you want. I think that will work.
Also vimeo videos would not load when added as a portfolio item. ive put up a test for you to see. Please let me know if this can be resolved I would rather use vimeo than youtube.

Make sure that the Vimeo URL doesn’t have “https://”, use “http://” instead.

Oh god, it seems to be a problem with new version of jwplayer… or not?Because I can’t manage this.
Maybe you know, maybe not – now you can download only jwplayer 6 – and as I can see in a source of livepreview, it’s built on jwplayer 5.6… I was trying with changing names of files (because now its ‘jwplayer.js’ instead of ‘player.swf’) in head.php, but it’s still not working. Any clue?
Does this theme have secondary settings for an iPhone and iPad or does it just use the same exact page for everything.

This is a really awesome theme. But I have been struggling to get the Contact form to work. There seems to be a lot of people having the same problem and no solutions being provided.

Where can I find the different pictures that the theme uses so I can change the opacity in Photoshop? I would like to make the black header background more transparent.
Also, I wrote a new topic in the Black Label forum about categories and the transparency. I managed to remove the “Read More”-button so that’s not a problem anymore.

I’ve installed the jw player which seems to be working fine. http://www.phokusfilms.com/wp/home_html/ How do I get the top menu and side widget to display on a mobile device while the background/home page video is playing (I’m testing on an android phone). Right now while the video plays neither is visable. I came across this site prior to purchasing the theme http://bouchemedia.com/; while their video plays on mobile the menu is still visible. I’m just not sure what to change to make that happen.

You are using a .MOV file, did you tried with a .MP4 or M4V file?
Although the Theme is not optimized for mobile, may work
Yes. I was just testing stream quality with different file types. I’ve tried with both a M4V http://www.phokusfilms.com/wp/home_html3/ and .MP4 http://www.phokusfilms.com/wp/home_html2/ files.
They will all play but the video, but the home menu and widget aren’t visible. Any thoughts on where I should start looking (is it in a specific php or css maybe?) to mimic http://bouchemedia.com/? thanks

Yes, actually that is the default behavior like in the Demo. You see the video once and then the Slider.
Can you explain how to make a child theme? I added a child theme with simply the style.css (basic child theme), then I got all sorts of php/server errors having to do with “Theme.php”, so I took the whole functions folder and copied it into the child theme, which fixed that problem. Now, however, none of my changes to the style.css of the child theme affect anything. Looking into it further, it seems that it has the wrong directory for the style.css file. Do I need to copy the styles.php and stylesheet.php files too? It seems I may as well just edit the original theme, if I have to copy everything over.

Try using the stylesheet.php to overwrite the stylesheets and let me know. I will take a look at the file if is everything fine since the last update.
Can you recommend a size and/or scale for the pictures that you upload to the portfolio? Some of the pictures gets deformed and I can’t really figure it out.

do you have any suggestions for making the background images load faster? i am using vimeo pro for the video background which is working great, but the images are taking 5-10 seconds longer than the rest of the site when a page loads. i bought all the images stock off istockphoto if that makes any difference. thanks, great theme!
