I’m trying to update my slider but it is no longer connecting to images. I did an upgrade to try to fix it but it still isnt working and now my portfolio section wont load on the homepage. Advice?

Make sure your new slider has no jQuery conflict with Black Pearl default slider, If you use firebug addon on firefox it will show you any jQuery error and where it happend.
Sorry, I meant I updated the black pearl theme to V 1.2 to try to fix the slider issue. I am still using the black pearl default slider. I’m getting a broken image link when I try to add new photos to the slider – all of the old slides are still working properly. After preforming the upgrade, my portfolio images on the homepage stopped loading properly.
I installed firebug and am getting this message:

I’m not sure what this means or how to fix it…
It’s working! When uploading the Image I clicked “File URL” under “Link URL” and the image worked. Portfolio images still are not loading though…
Please send us your website URL + a wordpress username and password through our profile page so I can investigate the issue.
Just checked your website, all you have to do is to upload images for your portfolio items, you should upload them in “Portfolio Options” box under text editor.
Update: I called my host provider (godaddy) and they said it is not an issue on their end. The web address is www.askdrnandi.com.

When I’m loading your website I get error ” Permission denied to access property ‘toString’ ”, on line 59 of “player.core.opt.js”.

Featured image will work as a cover for your portfolio items in portfolio page, if you want it to be shown as one of your portfolio item images, you should also upload it as the first image of your portfolio item.
also How do I add the slider to a page?, not a home page like in your demo
Go to “Pages” from admin dashboard, open the related page, below the text editor, there’s a box called “Page Options”, you can add the slider there.

You should get that from your google account, just google it.
I cannot seem to find the “Address” & “Contact Info” in the contact page settings.
You should go to “appearance > widgets” and add a “BP – Contact info widget” to the Contact Page Sidebar, add your information to it.
hi Pixflow… there are 3 portfolio section at our home page under slider but we want to show more portfolio column/section at home page. what can we do? our web adress is http://www.futurex.com.tr/ we set 6 portfolio tip but we can see 3 of them under slider. It’s not impossible, but it requires heavy customization which is not possible at the moment, still I would be happy to guide you through that. For the clue, you should start with “template-home.php”.
Would it be possible for you to make an alternative PHP that has four boxes? or is it much more that is needed?

Hi there, Thanks so much for the great theme. We’ve been using it on our site for a while, but are moving to a different domain and reinstalling over there.
I’m having an issue with the porfolio “posts” themselves. I’ve created a page called Press. It has the portfolio template set as its page type. I then created posts within the Portfolios tab, set the featured image, etc. The URLS are http://www.mulxiply.com/portfolios/[theportfolioname], but when I click them, I get a 404, in the default template (blog) type.
The images appear on the Press page, as you can see here: http://www.mulxiply.com/press/But I cannot click through them to the actual portfolio page.

It’s probably because of permalinks, go to setting > permalinks and set it to “default” and save changes, then put it back to your current option and save changes again. Hope it helps.

I mean I wouldn’t like to loop Slider from the first shot to the last.

hi, im trying to change the colour of the menu text, main headers, footer text, they are all white and im using the dark/yellow skin, i have managed to change most things but these last bits, and footer webform input fields from grey to black. which css file are these options in or what line number, very grateful for advice thanks on a great theme

If I got it right, you want to change the footer input box text color, to do that you have to go to line 2555 of “style.css” in “content > themes > blackpearl”.

On the home page, where the Portfolio boxes are, I wanted to know if I could have the porfolio titles etc a different colour when it has the mouse over? because when the dark grey bit drops down it is then hard to read what is actually said.
Also, just incase that still looks weird, how would I remove the titles when mouse over?

To change the description color on hover, go to line 3407 of “style.css” and change the color to any color you like. To remove the item meta on hover you should change it’s “display” attribute to “none” on hover event.
Once I edit the Photoshop files how do I upload them to the theme?

Hello Vega, the PSD files are seperated from theme files and they don’t effect each other, if you want to change the theme appearance, you should edit it’s CSS files.
