Hi
Where can I find the .xml-file with all issues from the “live preview”-site?
I would like to import the whole live preview-site to my website, so that I can after that easily edit and change the content. Thank you.
Hello, Demo Import function is added to latest version of Black Peal. You can find that in Black Pearl control panel:
“Appearance > Theme Settings > Demo Content > Import Settings”
Hi There,
Love the theme!
I seem to getting an error message when I try to view a single portfolio work, below is the url that comes up.
Any help?
blog/portfolios/testing/
Thanks
Thanks!
Try to use “Post name” option in “Settings > Permalinks” and see if its working.
Hey,
I’ve been working with this contact form before the update and I still can’t get it to work. Help please!
@dieseljp
To adapte in WPML the image “We are here” on the map :
Open this file template-contact.php in this directory : /wp-content/themes/blackpearl/ Edit the line 92 -> image: ”<?php echo THEME _IMAGES_URI ?>/gmap_pin_<?php echo ICL _LANGUAGE_CODE; ?>.png”,
Add your images here /wp-content/themes/blackpearl/assets/img/ for example : gmap_pin_en.png , gmap_pin_fr.png gmap_pin_de.png
@LenahcFilms : verify the port of SMTP , maybe it isn’t 25 with your account ? (it’s my case).
@pole-ecommerce : THANKS ;))
@Lenachcfilms also try enabling “SMTP Authentication” I too have problems with this contact form. In addition you may also want to clear your cache, it seems that this helps, it did in my case anyway..
Good luck.
thanks guys i’ll give those a try. @dieseljp @sugadigital
@sugadigital & @dieseljp thanks guys! It worked.
Contact info for gmail that worked for me. I clear my cache first.
Mail Host smtp.gmail.com smtp port 465 SMTP Security SSL
Everything enabled.
thank you.
Thanks for pointing it out. That is fixed in the upcoming update.
Hi
Getting error message when trying to import dummy data.
Please make sure Black Pearl folder inside your themes folder has full read/write permission also check that for your uploads folder as well.
You could also manually import following XML file into your wordpress:Thank you it worked like a charm.
Thank you it worked like a charm.
@sugadigital @dieseljp @pole-ecommerce
Thanks a lot for your help. Its appreciated.
With the .xml file import it worked.
thank you very much! =))
Hi
Thanks for the reply, I changed the permalink. Now it is showing the right Url, but getting the error message. Error 404 – Not Found page.
/portfolios/testing/
It’ll be even better if this theme’s slider has a mobile view version as the gorgeous slider featured image gets messed up on the mobile view. Also, because my sliders used high resolution images, it took quite a while to load on the mobile. Another good feature to add in future versions is to auto-create a smaller scaled version of the pictures used in sliders for mobile (handphone) views?

Excellent them nonetheless!
Thanks for your suggestion. Actually we have some of them on our todo list.
Best
I have been trying to figure out why I am getting the error message. I changed the permalink to the default setting below and the single portfolio pieces now show, but I don’t want the permalink to be the default one. I want it to be the name of the post. Is there any option to change this?

As far as i know the problem is fixed in v1.0.2 but i suspect that the issue is from the old data. Can you please test the urls with fresh installation of wordpress?
Thanks
Where can I add or edit the ‘templates’? such as Portfolio and About? I see where I can attach to a template but where are they saved? or how can I add more templates?
All templates are located inside “wp-content/themes/blackpearl”. They are named “template-home.php”, “template-portfolio.php” and so on. You could also use wordpress admin panel to edit your templates:
“Appearance > Editor”
Can’t insert image into either post or page.
I keep trying to insert an image into page or post but it doesnt work…does’t do anything.
Please make sure you have the latest version of Black Pearl (v1.0.2)
You can download your theme from your Theme Forest user page under downloads tab.
Ok, will the new theme override what I’ve done already? I have theme 1.0 and I’ll download 1.02 but I want to preserve the changes I’ve made already
Please explain how to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.02 – I dont want to lose changes I’ve made to 1.0 theme
nevermind on this I got it upgraded from 1.0 to 1.02 but still cannot insert image (see latest entry on this)
The problem was on one of script files and its fixed in the last version. Maybe your script files are cached. Please clear your browser cache and try again.
Thanks
The first picture on my slider sometimes slides in off to the top. I dont know what could be causing this. If I refresh the page a few times it goes back to normal but I do get that problem at times. Any ideas?
We didn’t experience such problem on our machines. I’ll investigate that. Thanks.
Is it possible to have multiple portfolios each containing their own categories? I’d like to have 5 separate portfolio pages, each with their own categories. Thanks.
The theme is designed with one portfolio page in mind but we will add that feature if there are enough requests for that.
I’d like multiple portfolio pages too!
