I would like to know how to add a background image to the website but in order to do this I think we have to restrict the website to a width of 800px. Is this possible with this template?

Thanks.

Hello,

you can add own background via CSS, code for current background is placed in template.css file in template.

Template uses 960 px grid system so to change default width of the template, you will have to change whole grid in CSS.

Hi, I am a previous buyer of your NeXT them which is still my all time favorite template. Please can you consider this for Joomla 3.3 and fully responsive? Thanks so much!

Hello!

No promises, but I am considering adding a separate version dedicated for J! 3.x before end of official support for Joomla 2.5 at the end of this year.

Kind Regards! Tomasz

Hello,

please make sure to adjust your logo size in template.css file (templates/blackstudios16/css/templates/css):

please change width and height in line 83:

#rt-logo {width:205px;height:43px;display:block;margin-top: 12px;} /* Here You should change a width and height of your logo file */

Thanks.. I did it… other uestions, I want to change the preset theme of system Rok … to login form.. is white and I want black but when I get into options parameters of the plugins it doesn’t have an option to do it like you show in the documents

Hello Viruca,

first of all I apologize for delay in a reply. Yes, in latest version of the RokBox plugin, default dark style was disabled.

Please add this two lines at the end of template.css file in template:

#rt-popup { padding: 10px 20px; }
.rokbox-content-element { background-color: #111 ! important; }

This small change will help you to change default background color of login module box.

Hi, I have received the following warning from my hosting company today reg. BlackStudios Template :

Dear sir,

We have detected software vulnerabilities in PHP scripts on your webhosting package. To prevent system abuse resulting from exploitation of these vulnerabilities, these should be addressed as quickly as possible. This concerns the following vulnerabilities:

XSS vulnerability in Joomla:

/home/site/public_html/templates/blackstudios_white16/html/com_users/login/default_login.php

Vulnerabilities such as these can allow third parties to access your webhosting package and abuse this through e.g. uploading malware for various purposes. We strongly recommend you check the entire webhosting package for other files that appear out of place, which our detection system might have missed.

So, what else can be done to protect ( or patch ) above mentioned XSS vulnerability in this particular template – although my site is protected by latest Akeeba Admin Tools Pro & jHackGuard, both with all recommended vital security config ?

Hello,

thank you for providing more information.

I have reviewed the code of mentioned file, but it looks like false/positive check of the scanner. (if the file wasn’t modified)

If that is needed, temporarily you can remove this override file completely, so Joomla will use original file from component.

I will make sure to investigate this further and if needed, update template and mentioned override file.

Kind Regards, Tomasz

Hi,

The hosting company have informed me today about adding

JHtml::_(‘behavior.noframes’);

to the

/home/site/public_html/templates/blackstudios_white16/html/com_users/login/default_login.php

to prevent so called Joomla Clickjacking vulnerabilties (XSS)

So, I suggest to modify BlackStudios template for further use.

Best regards

7Studio

Hello,

JHtml::_(‘behavior.noframes’); should not be used in these views (in older versions of Joomla in fact, “behavior.noframes” was used in login view files in users component, but it is not in use there since early versions of 2.5 series).

JHtml::_(‘behavior.noframes’) was used to prevent displaying login form in iframes, but the problem was fixed in other place.

If you will compare override file in template: templates/blackstudios_white16/html/com_users/login/default_login.php

with the original file from user component from Joomla! 2.5.28 (latest version released few days ago):

components/com_users/views/login/tmpl/default_login.php

You can notice that override file is exactly the same. There is no difference.

It still looks like false positive alarm from the scanner. Please ask your hosting to compare override file from template, with original view file in latest release of Joomla 2.5. Please also ask what scanner was used?

Thank you for your time and additional informations.

Best Regards, Tomasz
