I have created a new template page and saved it within the parent theme folder, but am working with the child theme to try and drive a different css to that singular page. When I create the new template (by duplicating the page.php file and resaving it as well as putting a template name on it), I lose the theme options when I edit the page that allows me to place a header img, overlay, etc. What could be causing this? Thanks.

And to clarify, the end goal here is to create a second page template that has a 200px tall header vs the full size 576px header of the default template

Hi there,

unfortunately this is not possible yet from a child theme, but thanks for reporting, we will fix this in the next theme update. Currently you can add a new page template only if you are using the parent theme by adding the new template name in the config/config-general.php file in the templates array around line 170, this will enable the shared options for these templates also on your new template.

Great. Thanks!

Is there any way to integrate a portfolio stripe into the page content, thus allowing a color stripe to break up content on a page? Or once you start stacking the portfolio stripes can you not add content from the editor below them? The problem I’m trying to solve is the need to break up a page by adding a quote with a colored background and then more content below it. I can’t add the content below it with a portfolio stripe as the fields and layouts are limited.

Hi there,

unfortunately this is not possible, that page is conceived to stack only portfolio items without the page content.
