is there a GALLERY hidden anywhere in this theme?

Love the layout, but I would need a gallery (not portfolio) simply to display photos of mine, no text/description…just images.

thanks!!!

ThemeBeans

Hey mate. Yup there’s a gallery post format for the blog posts.

Cheers, Rich

Just bought and installed the theme but I’ve encountered two critical problems:

1) There is a horrid automatic navigation menu revealed on scroll that occludes the content. Severe usability issue. How do I disable this?

Example: Screenshot & <div class="header-nav full" style="display: block;"> … </div>

2) My previous blog posts have been shorn of their anchors. This means that a user cannot access the content of the post from the blog index. Example:

<header class="entry-header clearfix"> <h2 class="entry-title"><!-- no anchor here! --><span>Throwing technology at the problem (and users)</span></h2> </header>

I’ve checked the dox, but I don’t think that I can see anything there. Do correct me if I’m wrong tho’. Look forward to your help =)

Hey Rik, sure here’s some help for you:

1. You can actually turn that off if you want via the Theme Options, or use the split header view for the menu/widget area on separate sides. Here’s a screenshot of the options section: http://thmbns.co/T8kv

2. I’m not quite following you here. Do you mind copying your comment and sending it via our Help Center. It’s monitored much more efficiently than these comments here.

Hi,

A friend of mine wants to use this theme for his new website. Can you tell me if it is possible to have a static page for the home page rather than recent posts?

Many thanks in advance.

ThemeBeans

It is possible via the General > Reading settings of the WP Dashboard. :)

Hi!

I bought this theme a month ago for my website and I just love it.

I’m still working on it and right know I’m trying to set up my portfolio’s page, but I don’t know if it is something I am doing wrong, but the columns doesn’t appear well, in some rows appear both samples and in some others just appear one and then below it shows two again. This is what it looks like: http://katiadejuan.com/?page_id=15

What am I doing wrong? How can I fix it?

Many thanks in advance.

Katia

Hey Katia! I’m glad you’re liking the theme. I see exactly what’s happening there. The theme is using a default grid system that relies on the images/text being the same “height” to maintain the portfolio grid.

Hope this helps! Rich

Hi Rich! Sorry for responding so late. Many thanks for your help. I already fixed it. I’m still working on the site, and have to do a few changes but it is almost ready. Here is a link to the site, hope you like the use I’m doing of it. :) http://katiadejuan.com/

Hello,

I’m getting this error when going to my admin

Warning: require_once(/public_html/wp-content/plugins/meta-box/inc/classes/meta-box.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/pyrobon/public_html/wp-content/themes/blooog/lib/admin/metaboxes/metaboxes-init.php on line 49

Apparently it was conflicting with the meta box plugin. Change the name of the folder on FTP and the Admin panel is now loading.

ThemeBeans

Hey Lacotufa, You’re looking to use that plugin to add more metaboxes?

My colleague purchased this theme for a project that we are working.

We are using the gallery post format for one of my posts but when we publish it the image carousel doesnt display. on the blog stream

instead if u click into the post there is a grid view of the gallery images

please help

ThemeBeans

Hey, pretty sure we discussed this over Twitter – but for others who may be having the same issue:

1. Click the Add Media button 2. Drag / Drop your images into the section 3. Set your post format to Gallery 4. Publish.

You do not need to hit “Insert into Post”.

Cheers! Rich

Hi! There was another user who posted this, but I can’t figure out how to fix it from the answer you gave.

How do you add “Read More” to post excerpts. I could’t find the line of code you were talking about: “On line 586, there’s the ” ...”” Maybe the code has changed since? Because I only have 511 lines in my functions.php.

Keep up the good work! :)

ThemeBeans

Ahh yes, big big difference! Contact us via our Help Center and we’ll point you in the right direction, if you have not figured it out already :)

Ah I apologize, thanks a lot :)

ThemeBeans

No problem!

Hi – love it!

I have fallen in love with the logo font – what font is it?

ThemeBeans

Hey Scott – just mailed you back! It’s Santa Fe LET! You’re going to love v2.0 then, it’s nearly done and the update is free (naturally)! :)

unlimited sidebar widgets? customized sidebar widgets? customization per page or post?

...by the way – i’m lovin’ this one. big fan of your guys’ work. i gone with you guys before and this one is a nice update :)

ThemeBeans

Customization on both pages and posts.

Thanks! Blooog was always a favorite of ours as well – classic if you would. :)

Rich

ThemeBeans

The last time I used this template there was no proper css styling for list items, it made me angry because it is a very basic text styling feature you must offer in any theme. So… does v2 have better lists? Just to be sure and download again.

ThemeBeans

There’s an example on this page. V2 is better in just about any way – just download it and compare. You’ll quickly see how much better our framework has become in just the last 12 months really! Just imagine what our themes will be like in another year :)

Cheers and appreciate your feedback – helps make every theme better :)

Rich

Hello! I am really interested in purchasing your theme. I have a quick question: is there any way that I would be able to have the layout boxed rather than fluid?

Thanks!

ThemeBeans

Hey! Do you mean without responsiveness?

Default-user

No, I actually would still like the responsiveness. I was just wondering if instead of the full-width of the screen, the layout could be boxed.

ThemeBeans

You could set a max-width to the .sidebar, which would stop it from growing upon screen re-size.
