Bookcase - Wordpress Portfolio Theme

hello! Its A wonderful theme. I am planning to purchase it as soon as possible. I just have one confusion in mind. I will have to add a little more pages to my website. will i be able to add more pages to my website and display them in left sidebar? and also i dont want the portfolio to be on my homepage. Will i be able to use a static page as homepage?

I have a little problem with the apostrophes in the contact form, for example when somebody sends “j’habite en France” I receive “j\’ habite en France”.

Hi. I just purchased this theme. Looks great! Im from Denmark, so i would like it if we could keep this simple, so theres a bigger chance of me understanding it all

I’m not this strong with wordpress yet. How do you make the portfolio look like it does in the preview, with the pictures? Under theme options there is nothing about portfolio?

Is there maybe a how-to-use-this-theme-video somewhere?

Is there a quick way to change the word “Skills” to another word of choice in the directory. So they would categorize in a directory like http://yourdomain.com/portfolio/insert-category

Great-looking theme! Before purchasing however, I’m wondering if it’s possible to remove the 3 little icons under the images (comments, tags and date), I wouldn’t need those.

Like the theme, especially the slide/flow. Almost fits the bill for what I am after but wondered how difficult it would be to add a secondary menu above the portfolio ie: all/web/print/photos/logos and also to be able to add a text/strapline.

Random comment:

I’m working on this theme for a client, and I noticed that one of the skill pages that had like 20 items had a total weight of 57 MB. It seems that in the taxonomy pages, the theme shows by default the main image of the Portfolio (“full”, as opposed to a custom size), and then downsizes it via CSS , which isn’t very efficient. By quickly adding an image size (500×9999, softcrop) and changing a couple of lines of code, the page now has a weight of 5 MB. Just an obvious fix that seems to be an oversight. I may be wrong

So I have my site down to this: http://dachcorp.com/ and I have a couple of questions.

1. What is the CSS code to make the footer bar completely invisible unless I press the “up” button at the bottom of the screen.

2. What is the easiest way to add custom typekit fonts?

3. How would I get rid of that awkward spacing between the bottom of the logo graphic and my menu nav? Right now there is an awkward gap.

4. Would I be able to list off my menu nav items in two columns? As you can see from the site right now, I have space enough for another column.

5. Because I messed with the menu nav bar’s margin-left property, now the actual content is blocked by the nav bar as seen here: http://dachcorp.com/?portfolio=i-love-sports. The content and comment box is cropped by the menu nav. How would I go about fixing this?

6. How can I remove the default Italics of the headers on the actual content pages?

7. How can I change the size of the thumbnails in the main gallery page?/How can I change their spacing?

Is a plan to make the comments area to appear under the main content column? As it is now (at the bottom of the page), if right widgets are many, there is a huge gap between comments and main content. I have been visited the forum but I cannot find out.

This is an awesome theme, it was a little fiddle at first but one I got my head around it it works like a dream. My only question have is about the adding of videos or swf files into the video setting of a portfolio item. I’ve notice that whenever I enter something into the text field whilst using the lightbox short code a play button appears on to of all the other image slideshows and it activated whenever you press on it. I’ve noticed that this also happens on your demo.

Is there anyway to remove this or put the video and slideshow images into an ordering system?

P.S. Also how do you put a text limitation on the homepage items with a read more button like on your demo? I can seem to find a way.
