A couple other customers have done it successfully – if you’re comfortable with making changes to the themes files it shouldn’t be too difficult. Hi again Andre, Thank you very much your fast answer. I understand, “portfolio post type” won’t to be problem for me. That is cool.
Then I want ask a few points too with your permission. 1) When the user click on “Read More” goes to post page. The user see a right column. There are “Bookcase Theme”, “Featured Projects” , “Search”, “Latest News”. So, can I add “adv.spaces” or “last comments” etc. ? can I customize easily? 2) can I add social network icons and links? May be under the blog posts? 3) At the main page there is a great effect. Clicked picture is getting bigger. Other picture frames floating around perfectly. Are there any possibility to get darker to other picture frames when the user reading info about the post? 4) is there an easy way to translate your theme to my language?

1) That’s a widget area of the theme. You can add recent blog comments or other widgets there – I’m not sure what adv.spaces is? That’s just drag and drop functionality.
2) It’s not included with the theme. However, there are many plugins that will do this for you automatically.
3) It’s possible, however it would involve some modifications to the script. That’s rather advanced – you’d need to consult the help of a developer for that modification.
4) It contains .po files for easy translation. You just need to either translate it manually, or download a plugin, like codestyling localization to easily translate all the strings in the theme.

I’ve been eying your theme. I have two concerns to decide if it’ll work for me. hope I’m making sense, I’m not much of a tech-y when it comes to web so please excuse any daft/obvious question I’m going to ask.
1. the present homepg has 10/12 images what happens to the other images I might want to put up? will it be scrolling up/down or sideways if I have more than 12 images? Would you have a screen shot to shot how this might work?
2. How easy would it be to install it. For a complete novice..?

I’d be glad to answer your questions.
1. There is a pagination built in to the theme’s homepage, the same as in the blog. You can set a specific amount of projects you want on each page, and it will automatically add the 1,2,3 below to paginate. Here’s a screenshot:
http://screencast.com/t/tF8YSuqbWAxu2. Once you download the Themeforest Zip File, inside there’s a file called “bookcase.zip” you can just install it with one-click from your Wordpress Admin panel. I’d be happy to help you through the installation.
Working on updating a few themes as well as a new one (coming soon I hope!) I’ll see what I can do about finalizing a launch date.

I purchased your theme yesterday and i have a problem regarding the “read more” button.
When i click on one of my portfolio images on the Home site, the whole content of the post-page shows up in the preview of image.
How do i get a read more button at some point without having the whole content of my post page on the home site?

Hi,
Is there an easy way to add a lightbox to the pictures on the homepage? Seems to be possible in template-home.php but I don’t know php…
I think I accidently created a bug, in the contact form+query, the “send” button disappears (it actually slips downwards) each time someone enters false information (so actually each time it says “this field is required”). Do you know what I did wrong?

Hello Andre,
This is a really great theme! My client purchased it and I’ve been implementing it throughout the weekend and have run into a few problems.
I can’t get any of the youtube/vimeo links to show up at all. The collapsible footer isn’t working and the contact page is putting both the basic contact form and the estimate form on the same page along with a tab button. Any help you can provide would be outstanding. Thanks again for the great work!

What sort of issues are you having creating an account? Be sure you’re using your Themeforest username (Giniya). In other words, the username and purchase code must match. Can you confirm you’re using your Themeforest username to sign up?

hi there! i’m currently working on heavily customizing the template.. and i wanted to ask where and what to edit exactly if i want to make the slideshow that appears after you open a portfolio item (single-portfolio) – i want to get rid of the slideshow, and instead the pictures to appear one after another with the ‘view full size’ icon still enabled on all of them. (the navtoggles will disappear of course too) i don’t want to edit the slideshow script in general, as i still need it on the homepage – i’m looking in creating a separate function that will arrange the images like described. your help is much appreciated! thank you

I do provide support for small customizations, such as one or two line changes, however, extensive customizations you’ll have to consult the help of a developer for. This is a more extensive customization that you’d need to seek other help to complete.

Is there sample content provided for this theme when purchased?

The theme does come with both xml and sql files to import demo content. The difference is the xml is easier to import, but doesn’t contain widget data. In both cases, though, you’ll still need to add images to your portfolio items and posts.

Hi there,
Really keen to buy this theme, love the way the portfolio shuffles and opens images/plays video. Is it ok to ask a couple of questions that will pretty much make me buy!
1. Is it possible to make the portfolio one long page you scroll down rather than go onto new pages?
2. Can you add categories to the portfolio? so you either choose a category and it shuffles the images displaying the chosen category or maybe on rollover on the demo the image turns black, maybe it could turn different colours for different categories? (preferably the shuffle though)

Thanks so much for your interest!
1) Yes, howrever, there is no “progressive load” or “infinite scroll” integrated into this theme. In my opinion, it would be best to use the pagination built in to decrease the load time, although you can choose to just have them all display on one page.
2) Yes, each portfolio item has it’s own “skills” which act as categories. There is not filter (shuffle) function in the theme, but perhaps in the future update.
