Hi, How can I fix the “subpage” ( every page but home ) so that it stretches full width across the screen like the main slider does? I have added a customer header but my image is getting croped on the sides. Thanks

I activated this theme on a clean wpmu installation and when I try to edit the settings I get the following error: Error! Options page not found.
I am running it on Apache server. Any clues how to fix this? It’s useless without the settings.

Well…? Any thoughts, Akay? I’ll explain it again:
I’m running Apache locally with wordpress multi-user installed, and the theme works perfectly, except when I click Bosspress setting in the admin section and change the settings (e.g. assign a portfolio category ID), after hitting save changes I get:
Error! Options page not found.
So basically I cannot control the slider time, or the portfolio/gallery ID, and to be quite honest, when I was paying the 32 bucks I was hoping everything would work smoothly.
Just to make things clear, I tested other themes in this configuration and never got this message, yours i s the only one.
I would really appreciate it if you didn’t ignore me like two days ago.
Hi mate sorry for delay, i was checking whats wrong but i guess its absolutely about the plugin you use, someone asked the same before if im not wrong. I didnt use wpmu before but i found that http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic/11621 . Sorry about that, didnt check with mu, there are lots of plugins there and im not avaiable to check all of them. I would like to refund your 32 bucks if you want. Thanks for your understanding. Another option, you can replace the id’s etc, into the files manuelly i would like to help if you want. Sorry one more time.

Well, the thing is that I have not activated any plugins. None. Nada. They are all inactive. And I was hoping that you could help me fix it, cause I really like this theme and I’d live to use it. Or maybe tell me where I can manually edit these options (slider time, portfolio id, etc.)
I am preparing my blog locally before I launch it so let’s not lose hope. Maybe when it’s connected to a real domain it will start working.
I’ll try to do some searching on my own, if you have the time do it as well.

Okay, so it still doesn’t work after uploading it to the webserver (also Apache) and connecting it to a domain name, but I found a work-around: you gotta change it manually through options.php. However this solution doesn’t work on a locally-installed apache server. probably the only way to go with this it to edit the functions.php file if I’m correct.
And now for something completely dumb: I want to change the HOMEPAGE name to HOME or START . Does anyone remember where to look for it. i have done it before but I can’t remember how. I checked all the root php files: home.php, index.php, header.php, etx and either I’m too tired, or it’s not there. Please help.
And I still think you should install a wpmu version somewhere to test your themes in that environment. Would be cool. Maybe you could find the ultimate solution.

Hi mate, its generating dynamicly so you wont be able to change the order
But you can enter the links manuelly if you want, also if you know little html, i would like to help. Its in header.php file, “nav” classed “ul” tag.

I posted a couple of months ago and want to reiterate, I love this theme! Don’t listen to people like silverpoundcans, you’re a one man show and can’t do it all, no worries.
If you get a chance, I have a question about Portfolio posts. I got the Portfolio gallery page to be full width (http://www.keeganhobson.com/category/portfolio/) but I was hoping to make each individual Portfolio post full width as well, without displaying the sidebar. I understand that each individual Portfolio post is in essence a blog post, but is there a way to add some code so anything with the “Portfolio” category does NOT display the sidebar?
Here is my example of an individual Portfolio post (http://www.keeganhobson.com/2010/03/02/engagement-yazmin-manny/) it has the sidebar and I’d rather it didn’t display that for my individual portfolios. I looked through all the comments on here and couldn’t find anything on this specific question.

1. When comments are disabled for ‘blog post’, would it be possible to remove the ‘Comments are closed’ line that shows at the bottom of the post?
2. Can the small bar that shows the post date and categories for a blog post be amended?
3. When wordpress 3.0 comes out, will you use the new Wordpress menu manager?

Hi Akay, I love your theme. I am working on adding the portfolio and can’t seem to add a second portfolio. How do I have two portfolio links in the navigation? If that can’t happen, I would settle for having a main portfolio and a subportfolio like you have in the example. However, I can’t seem to make that work either. Can you help me?
Edit: I got the subcategory to work … but is there still an option for a separate second portfolio?

Hi Lisa, There is one portfolio category you can set, but you can create sub categories of it, by selecting the parrent category. The thing you want, needs some html modifications. Thank you so much.

Hello – I’ve been working with this wonderful theme and wanted to share some solutions to issues people have had…
1) To disable links from front page slider images, just open home.php and delete out
<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" />(line 14). This is a useful workaround if you just want to have a pretty slideshow and not link to individual posts (a number of people have had issues with this). It’ll be good when Akay releases a new version that will allow us to link to nothing/categories or pages – but whilst we’re waiting this is a simple workaround.2) For decent menu management WP Menu Manager plugin plays really nice with the Bosspress theme. There is a good tutorial here from Mike at Solostream
3) To post content in columns (especially for full width page- which is VERY wide), the Page Columnist plugin works well
