Hi guys, lovely theme – but I need to know if there is something wrong with the live demo? A few things look messed up.

Could you sort it out and let me know? Cheers.

@globetrotterdk

I sent you an email about a month ago. Basically it said the posts aren’t showing up because since you have the sideblog category set to your only post category, it is not including them. I had the main loop exclude any sideblog posts so you don’t see multiple posts side by side.

@eliburford

I’ll try to get a more recent working demo up soon.

Thanks!

Hey, Is there any chance you will be releasing an updated WP 2 .7 version of this theme?

With:

Threaded comments Stickies Admin panel modifications (right now it looks a bit odd in WP 2 .7)

And other stuff I’m forgetting?

If so please keep me up to date. It’s a wonderful theme and I would love to see it working with WP 2 .7 features. Hope you release more versions,

Thanks, Patrick

i’m having issues with this blog layout. its showing all of my posts in reverse as of last friday. i’ve researched word-press forum, and they stated that it may be a problem with the MySQL servers…

“This problem is caused by a bug in MySQL version 5.0.51 (potentially other versions as well). Unfortunately, many hosting providers have recently decided to upgrade their database systems and chose this version. Newer versions of MySQL have fixed this bug. Fixes: For people running older versions of WordPress, upgrade to the latest version. Newer versions are not as susceptible to this issue, however certain edge cases will still exhibit the problem. For people running the latest version of WordPress, talk to your host and convince them to upgrade MySQL to a newer version. Again, this is a bug in the version of MySQL they are using, it is not a WordPress specific problem, and it will likely not be “fixed” by WordPress. WordPress is doing the right thing, that bug in MySQL is causing the bad ordering.”—WP forum.

so i got in touch with the hosting service (dreamhost) and this is what they said.

” Looking at the blog post you mentioned, it says the problem is in version 5.0.51, and we’re running 5.0.67, so you shouldn’t be effected by this. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what would cause this, but it could be a plugin you have installed. I would start by disabling all plugins, and see if that helps.”—dreamhost

so i upgraded to the newest of WP, and disabled all plug-ins. after that didn’t resolve the issue, i tried to contact dreamhost again for a different solution.

their response? “Many people have had problems with their posts suddenly appearing in reverse order. These mostly happen with older versions of WordPress, but even the latest version can display this issue with some themes and/or plugins. Sidebar lists of posts can suddenly show the first posts made on the blog instead of the most recent.

This problem is caused by a bug in MySQL version 5.0.51 (potentially other versions as well). Unfortunately, many hosting providers have recently decided to upgrade their database systems and chose this version. Newer versions of MySQL have fixed this bug.”

The issue is caused by either an out of date MySQL version or plugins. As
  • mentioned previously, our MySQL version is above the version they mention being the issue. As such, this shouldn’t be the issue.

Unfortunately, we don’t really offer support for third-party applications, so not being able to tell what the issue is, we can’t really help. I would recommend getting in touch we the wordpress devs/community:

http://wordpress.org/support

If they can point to this being caused by another issue, I’ll be more than happy to look into it further for you. However, it looks like everything should be fine on our end.

I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience, but please let me know if I can assist you further with this (if it ends up being something we need to change on our end).”

so as you see. im in a viscious circle. as of now, the blog is still running in reverse… any suggestion? im a man on the edge right now. anything would help. any one else run into this issue? http://www.caccauldron.com/
