Hi, the 3 Column Portfolio cannot have paging support because the filtering is based in a JavaScript solution.

On the other hand, the 1 Columns Portfolio template can support paging by doing a few code changes. Edit the file template_portfolio1colum.php and replace the following code:

$my_query = new WP_Query( array( 'post_type' => 'portfolio', 'showposts' => 9999, 'portfolio_category' => get_post_meta($post->ID, "_page_portfolio_cat", $single = true) ) );
while ($my_query->have_posts()) : $my_query->the_post();

with:

$wp_query = new WP_Query( array( 'post_type' => 'portfolio', 'paged' => $paged, 'portfolio_category' => get_post_meta($post->ID, "_page_portfolio_cat", $single = true) ) );
while ($wp_query->have_posts()) : $wp_query->the_post();

Also after the endwhile; and the closing add the following code for displaying the navigation:

<?php // Show the pagination from navigation.php
 get_template_part( 'navigation' );
?>

Hope this helps.

Hi, there just bought it. Looks great!

Three question:

1.) How can I move the navigation menu bar? I looked in the current skin I am using /skins/light/blue.css and there doesn’t seem to be any positioning variables?

2.) Also is there a way I can turn off the menu rounding feature only on the bottom of the buttons (so they look like tabs) ?

3.) Can I have the page sub-header image only appear on selected pages?

Thanks a lot and appreciate the support!

Noel

unisphere

Hi again,

2) sorry I forgot to tell 2 other places to change. Edit the files header.php and /library/menus.php and change the following line of code in both files:

wp_page_menu( 'show_home=0&sort_column=menu_order&menu_class=menu rounded-all' );

to:

wp_page_menu( 'show_home=0&sort_column=menu_order&menu_class=menu rounded-bottom' );

Maybe what you want is rounded-top because you are pulling the menu down to the content edge so use rounded-top instead of rounded-bottom.

3) Sure you can hide it, add the following code to either the Custom CSS field in the Breeze admin panel or to the bottom of the /css/screen.css:

#sub-header { display: none; }
#sub-header-footer { padding-top: 30px; }
#sub-header-footer { background-position: left bottom!important; }

Hi there, I edited those two files and now the stylesheet is not loading for some reason?

Never mind… I restored a backup copy and it’s ok again.

I am going to try re-applying the rounded-top again. I must have screwed something up when I was editing header.php.

I’m having a little difficulty when I activate your theme in the WP admin.

Here is the error message I am receiving when I try to view the site:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_template_part() in D:\Hosting\5004020\html\hothead\wp-content\themes\breeze\index.php on line 10

and line 10

Any ideas?

unisphere

I see that you’ve sorted it out from your response below :)

Another quick question… 4.) How can I hide the text drop shadows in the navigation bar?

Thanks!

unisphere

Hi again, edit the file header.php and remove the textShadow property from the Cufon declaration. There are 3 lines with it, they look like:

Cufon.replace('.menu .nav > li > a', { textShadow: '1px 1px rgba(255, 255, 255, 1)', fontFamily: 'Cufon', hover: true });
Here’s how it looks without the textShadow property (you need to remove it in 3 lines):
Cufon.replace('.menu .nav > li > a', { fontFamily: 'Cufon', hover: true });

Best regards

Nevermind..

I figured mine out

can i have a different header image for each post? also can the slider link to posts?

unisphere

Hi, the posts share the same sub-header image as the blog, there’s no option of individual sub-header images in each post, just pages.

You can set a custom link for each individual slider item, external or internal.

Greetings Unisphere, Great looking theme, to say the least. Question, I’m going to do a site for a non-profit, geared toward bilingual, and Spanish speaking only users. When you say translation ready, I’m in unfamiliar territory with Wordpress options for translation. I wouldn’t mind having a standalone site completely in Spanish, any options in the theme, or WP tips that you could point me towards. Great work- Tim

unisphere

Hi Tim, if you want a site in Spanish you won’t have that many problems translating the theme, it’s quite easy. Here, I’ve added to the FAQ a tutorial on how to translate the theme: Breeze FAQ

Hi, how do I hide the bread crumbs? I don’t see a check box for it in the theme options?

unisphere

Hi, sorry but there’s no option in the custom admin panel (although it’s a good idea and I’ll implement it in a future update).

If you want to remove breadcrumbs just edit the file sub-header_footer.php and remove all the code inside :

<div id="sub-header-nav">
...
...
</div>

Thanks that works!

unisphere

By the way, I’ve included the feature to hide Breadcrumbs from the admin panel and will be available for download the next couple of days.

Nevermind about my question i figured it out! Other than that this theme is super great and WOW ! So many features i wanna scream greatness!!! Well worth every penny!

unisphere

Thanks mate, I’m glad you are enjoying it :)

thanks

the 3 Column Portfolio cannot have paging support because the filtering is based in a JavaScript solution.

if i don’t want to use the filtering can i add page navigation to the 3 Column Portfolio ?

unisphere

Sure, edit the file template_portfolio3columns.php and replace this with this.

Hi

Two questions. How do I make the header bigger to fit in a larger logo.

Secondly how do I remove the sub-header.

I have to say it is an excellent theme – congratulations.

unisphere

Hi, to make the header larger to accomodate a larger logo add the following code to the Custom CSS field in the Breeze Admin Panel (make sure to adjust the height in pixels to fit your layout):

#header { height: 150px!important; }
#logo { height: 150px!important; }

To hide the sub-header image but keep the search bar add the following code to either the Custom CSS field in the Breeze admin panel or to the bottom of the /css/screen.css:

#sub-header { display: none; }
#sub-header-footer { padding-top: 30px; }
#sub-header-footer { background-position: left bottom!important;

Hi

http://crowfootwp.3riversringing.net userid: elephant password: elephant (just to stop Google!)

I needed to add – I’d like to get rid of the sub-header but keep the navigation and search – however the magnifying glass icon is missing and also the background colour. Is something wrong somewhere…

Hi

Thank you for your help. I’ve looked at the CSS , thanks and made the changes.

I’ve checked the server and also the zip file – the PNG files are present for the icons, but on any skin they are not showing up. I have uploaded them again just to make sure as well.

unisphere

Hi, I believe there were some problems uploading your theme to your server or the zip file you downloaded got corrupted in the download process. Look at this example of a corrupted background image: http://crowfootwp.3riversringing.net/wp-content/themes/breeze/images/backgrounds/background2.jpg.

Try downloading the zip file with the theme again and upload it to your server. Let me know how it goes.

Solved – sorry ftp was set to upload as ASCII changed to Binary and all is OK!

Very nice design, mate, cheers!

But… I had to do some customizations for a client, already bought your theme. It was really hard as hell!

Please, definitely get rid of that relative-absolute positioning, it’s really hard to tweak! Also, your code is not that IE7 -friendly as it should be.

Great theme again! But please make attention of the things above for your future works!

Cheers

unisphere

Hi, thanks for your feedback.

I tend to not use CSS positioning that much but since I don’t have control over some HTML code rendered by Wordpress I have no choice sometimes but to use it (comments, navigation dropdown menu, etc).

Anyway, will definitely take your advice in consideration, thanks again :)

Hey I have 2 questions.

1. I purchased the Light Box Evolution plugin for wordpress from Code Canyon. When activated it totally tears up the gallery view of the theme. I know this is probably nothing to do with you but would you know what might be causing.

2. Would there be a way to integrate some sort of plugin that will allow me to adjust the window for the thumbnails and/or slider images. What I mean is I had a photo of some people and looking at it in the slider it chopped everyone’s heads off. Of course when you click on the image it opens up in the lightbox and looks correct.

Also I have purchased a lot of wordpress themes and this is hands down the absolute theme I have ever seen. Much respect and I can’t wait to see the next one. Keep em coming.

unisphere

Hi, thanks for purchasing and thanks for the kind words :)

1) Could you please send me a link to the site with the plugin activated so that I can take a look?

2) When adding/adding a slider image you can set a custom image to override the default generated by wordpress. Resize your image in the appropriate size, upload it to wordpress and set its URL (see screenshot).

Best regards

sixthsiren

Here’s a link to the page in question. I had the plugin disabled and inserted the gallery of images and they looked perfect. The corners of the thumbnails were rounded and when you hover over them the magnifying glass icon would show, again everything perfect. When I turn on the plugin however the spacing on the thumbnails gets bloated, the rounded corners go away, the magnifying glass icons goes away, but the lightbox works ha! Anyways, if it’s not an easy fix I won’t worry with it b/c your provided lightbox is great as is.

Hi, from your description it seem the plugin uses different styling of the [gallery] shortcode. I’m going to buy the plugin and test it on the theme. Can’t promise that I’ll do it today though, I’m finishing an update to be submitted today.

Best regards, I’ll get back to you tomorrow

How can I make the wide container layout extend all the way to the bottom? ie, I don’t want the background image to show other than above the top area…

By the way, great work – this may be the first thing I’ve ever bought from the site and NOT had buyer’s remorse within the first few days

unisphere

Hi, to achieve what you are asking just add the following two lines of CSS code to the Custom CSS field in the Breeze Admin Panel:

#footer-container { width: 100%!important; margin-bottom: 0px!important; border-bottom: 1px solid #fff; -moz-border-radius: 0; -webkit-border-radius: 0; -khtml-border-radius: 0; border-radius: 0; }
#footer { width: 960px; margin: 0 auto; }

I’m glad you are enjoying the theme :)

Hi, to add images to be displayed in a gallery please take a look at this video tutorial that I made a few months ago for another theme of mine. The process is the same for Breeze: Adding galleries video tutorial
