Dear Uni,
I want to create a special page with shortcodes, but I can’t complete it. Let me explain what I want to do. I want to create two colums. In one colum, I want to put a gallery with thumbnails and a big image. In the other colum, I want to put a tab. So, this seems as if you are in a ecommerce page. It’s similar to this website: http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/192834 How can I do it? Do you have any advice for it? When I try to do it with shortcode, one colum is at the bottom. So i can’t have an horizontal view of an item.

Hi, from looking at the page I can see some PRE and CODE tags that were probably included when you copy/pasted from the demo site or the themeforest reply.
Go the that page and add this code in HTML mode completely replacing the current page code.

Hi, from looking at the source of that page I see 2 things. The gallery isn’t inside the first half_column and the gallery isn’t the default WordPress gallery (maybe a plugin)?

I am about to buy this theme. I am using another but get these problems - pages do not have comments - cannot put custom fields in portfolio items - word limit doesn’t support Thai (it doesn’t cut the sentence and append with …)
I would like to know that this theme doesn’t have these problems, or at least, has solutions for them. If so, I will be really happy to purchase this one

Hi, here are the answers to your questions:
1) page commenting is supported in the theme, you just have to enable them on a per page basis.
2) Yes, custom fields are supported on portfolio items (in fact, the theme uses them for certain features).
3) I honestly don’t know but from what you describe it may be caused by Thai words being too long (without spaces) and WordPress appends ”...” after a certain amount of words, not characters.

Hi, you can disable comments on pages by editing a page and unchecking “Allow Comments” on the discussion panel. If you don’t see the “Discussion” panel it’s because WP hides it by default so look for the “Screen options” link at the top right and enable the “Discussion” panel.

Just purchased this fabulous theme, but am having trouble installing it. After uploading the zip file in “install themes” I’m getting an error message that:
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

I’m sure this has been asked somewhere but I can’t possibly navigate through that many pages of comments. Can you please tell me how to remove the text shadow on the navigation? I’ve gone through all the css files with a search for ‘text-shadow’ but nothing works. blue.css:27 is where is makes sense, but defining that to none or simply removing didn’t clear it. Please help! What should I do to have the menu subitems showed where today is the breadcrumb? I don’t want the subitems (dropdown) to disappear from the top menu, but to get rid of the breadcrumb and show the subitems there. Let me try to explain: When we put our mouse over a menu item on the top right, we can see the submenus (dropdown). On the Live Preview, for instance, the “Porftolio” item has 2 subitems: Sortable and Paged. The “Styles” menu item has a lot of subitems. “Pages” has 6 subitems. So my question is: how can I show those subitems on the position where the breadcrumb is? So if I click on “Portfolio” on the menu on the top, for instance, I don’t want to see the breadcrumb there but instead “Sortable” and “Paged”, the 2 subitems of “Portfolio”. Is it possible? Thanks!

1) I recommend using WPML since the theme’s dynamic fields are available for translation on this plugin.
2) Since there isn’t a widgetized area available at the header top maybe the fastest approach is to hardcode the shortcode into the header.php file and style it with some custom CSS .

Hi, the portfolio doesn’t actually have a “lazyload” script applied, it just appears as such because of a spinning loading GIF in the background of the portfolio item.
I believe there are several free WordPress plugins that could add lazyload functionality to the images, so I would start there.

Ok great. I will make my page retina compatible, it works with the images (wp-retina plugin) but the text font isn’t compatible. Is it possible to use @font-face for the header/title text (I use Museo 500) www.fressh.nl? They are show great on the iPhone 4 and the new iPad. Thanks!
Hi, the theme only supports Cufon fonts so I’m afraid you’ll have to implement the @font-face functionality from scratch. I don’t know if there are free plugins that add this feature to themes, but I would start there.

Hi, the height and width image attributes are automatically set by WordPress, not the theme, so I’m afraid you can’t change this easily.
I haven’t personally worked with that retina plugin but I can tell you that adding “px” to these attributes is not recommended since it isn’t a valid value and some browsers might not be able to interpret it.

Where can I change that?
