I have the same problem as mleane. Slider not working. Instructions inadequate. GIf images in the instructions do not display. default template doesn’t exist in the zip.

I got the slider working after I performed the “optional” fields in step 6 “6.Custom fields (optional) ?thumb: the value is the url of the thumbnail image 650px × 290px or 940px × 290px. If you add thumb custom field, it wont use the ‘featured image’ as the slider image. ?slider-url: the value is the destination url link. “

Yes, you can use thumb custom field to show the slider image or you can use the ‘featured image’ feature in wordpress…

Is it possible to get the menu to extend instead of wrapping to another level if there are long items on it?

Also, on the subpages, I would like to get the drop downs to keep page titles on one line, and not wrap around with a huge space as well.

I’m going to purchase.

I have one question regarding the home page slider.

Is there a limit of how many images are in rotation? Are they collected from “pages or posts” ??

The home page slider is use the new wordpress 3 custom post type and it will different with the default posts.

Hi, I am also having problems with the slider. Documentation is not helpful and is actually confusing. I’ve followed every single step in the manual in order to set the slider up in the default slider type and the slider does not show up in the home page. I’ve done it through the featured image way and also through the “optional” thumb custom fields and I just can’t make it work.

I think I’m not the only one having issues with this theme. I would really appreciate any help or direction to sort this out.

Wow Stephen! What a response from my emails. This is excellent response. – Downloaded newest version. All the plugins are there and the documentation has more info. You even created a demo sql file for those of us that need to see it working to understand it.

After not hearing back in my previous post I decided to try again with a new fresh install of the most recent version of the theme. The slider seems to show up but only in IE, it does not in Firefox and Safari. This can be seen in: http://camex.com.mx/nuevo/

I feel like I’m just wasting my time, especially because for some reason I don’t get the support emails and I have to keep posting this kind of messages in this space.

I just re send the email, please check your spam box.

Please try this: Click ‘Appearance > Theme Options’ then click ‘Save’ for the first time.

It looks like you already make a modification to the theme…. please try to use the original version and see if the slider works or not. If the original version work, maybe there are some code missing…

Thanks but I tried that and it is still not working on Safari, Chrome and Firefox. The slider only shows up in IE. This is happening in a fresh new installation of the latest version of the theme, is there anything else I can do? Thanks.

The default page does not have any of the natural css built in. Text wrapping around images, as well as the grey border boxes when using captions do not work.

Images that are used in the slider are fixed dimensions or i will be able to use any dimension images ?

It fixed dimension, but you can change it in the css if you have bigger or smaller images.
