I have added a background image (repeat enabled). How can I make change the various parts to either have transparency or have an image as they are currently white and do not look good :

I have raised a ticket #105992 but really need you guys to provide some more detail. You have said that everything can be changed using Admin but I have given you over 10 examples where it can not. If this requires changes to CSS, then can you please tell me where as I purchased this theme on the assumption that I will not need to make any CSS changes.

Sorry guys, this is not really acceptable. I didn’t think that any CSS changes would be needed using this theme as it was supposed to have everything in Admin. Now that you are telling me there are, I would appreciate some more detailed guidance on how to make the changes I have requested.

May be if you can advise what I need to change.

Hello, great theme :) Best Magento theme out there to date in my humble opinion. Could you please tell me if it’s easily possible to stream more than just 3 tweets into the footer section of the theme. Although I am seeing my tweets and everything appears fine I’d just like the option to show more tweets as my tweets are usually very short. Thanks in Advance Richard

Hi upgraded to v2.1.0 and now my menu have lost their formats – have lodged a support ticket

So no menu and no featured products – if you want these then don’t upgrade to v2 – looks like I have to go back to 1.7.1

We have warned all the customers in dashboard and documentation that upgrade from 1.7.1 to 2.0 is dificult and reccommended existing customers not to do it. The reason is in complete rewriting. This upgrade is good for the new installation but it will be hard to upgrade the existing stores. In any case you can submit ticket to our support. Did you do this?

Yes I have and I still have not received a fix. I am told menu won’t be fixed and that there is an option for Featured Products that doesn’t exist.

The upgrade was actually good except for 2 things – menu and featured products which both worked in previous version

You will be replied during next 2 hours. Version 2.0 has 2 menu types (simple and megamenu). Simple menu was optimized according to basic magento sql queries (this allowed us to make theme faster). You can chose desired variant. The issue with the featured products will be specified in the ticket.

How can I make “Count of columns” 4 or 5? Because it works only 3. I have a lot of subcategories, but megamenu is not ok in my case. So I need to make menu look nice for users. Thats why I need “Count of columns” 4 or 5.

If upgrade from 1.7.1 to version 2 is difficult then do you provide this service or are updates now totally useless to customers who bought the original version? Surely once purchased all updates are available to all users as version 2 is the one needed to work with the latest Magento version?

Upgrade from 1.7.1 to version 2.0 is difficult only for the users that have huge number of modified files from the customization. It is not difficult if we upgrading default files from 1.7.1 to 2.0. In any case our source package contains updates for magento 1.8 for our 1.7.1 version. Our 1.7.1 is compatible with latest magento 1.8. Please, check our latest source files.

Version 2.0 will be better for the new customers and new stores.

In response to your response to Virginia – I don’t have any modified files, all I have is Magento and your template that is it and the upgrade still does not work.

Your response about the menu is that now it only has a simple menu – maybe you need to highlight this that you have removed the menu as part of this version.

Your response about the featured product that there is an option in Products but not on my screens so did you actually check this? Yes there is an option change in the home page to put the code in and I did that following your instructions.

Your documentation is way out of date now – with this new version a number of options have changed but yet you go through your documentation and it shows screens that don’t exist – like Featured Products etc.

Don’t get me wrong, this is certainly a great template, but you really need to make sure that upgrades to newer versions are well tested, well documented as most of us are running live production e-commerce websites and we don’t have the luxury of testing in a testing environment all of the time

Sorry one last thing. An new version is great but we all can’t just blow away our existing databases and start again because of major changes – maybe more details on the changes – I haven’t seen any DB changes so all of them are just purely files – if your upgrade documentation was more easier and very well documented as to what is changed then upgrading would be made easier

1) Referring update, i can’t understand. In the previous message you said that update was successfule besides – menu and featured products. Is this actual information or not?

2) As i said earlier, buyshop has now 2 menu types -simple and megamenu. You can chose desired variant and customize it according to your needs (columns, headings etc.)

3) The issue with the featured products wil lbe specified in the ticket.

4) I agree about documentation. We will rework it. Also we are working now on new video customization tutorial because previous is actual only for the 1.7 version.

We appreciate your feedback because it allow us to make theme better.

1. Unfortunately, v2.x.x such type of simple menu. You can use “Megamenu” in other layouts (not in Amazing);

Unfortunately we weren’t able to make esential update, to increase perfomance being in the measures of the existing theme. It is your choice to make update or not. We only warn customers that this update will be dificult if they have ready customized stores (including database with products). We have provided detailed instructions – how to make update. Our main aim is to make theme better for the new customers. But we have spent a lot of time to make it compatible for the old ones. Hope for your understanding.

So if you want to using the Amazing layout you don’t get to use the Mega Menu – it only comes with a basic menu.

Warning to anyone who is using this layout if you update to v2.1 as I did you will lose your menu – they will go back to basic layouts.

After I updated the theme I cannot set carousels on the frontpage. When I go to Theme Config. – Layout I can only see the slider option. Before i had 4 or 5 options and among them “Carousels”

I’m using version 2.1.1 of the Template.

First I want to congratulate you for this template is one of the best and most beautiful I know.

But since version 2.0, is a grave error / problem opening the Featured Products on Home Page. If you do not open any category before, the products do not display information and the product page is blank when opened by the Home Page. For products that are open for Page Home show the information correctly you must open some category before, seems to be a problem related to cache the Template.

I’m with four open tickets over four days, but it seems they were abandoned, got no answer or help. This version 2.xx is in need of some urgent fixes.

Our developer can’t reproduce this issue on our environment. I see you use 3rd party extensions: O2TI_All, O2TI_Moip, O2TI_Onestepcheckout, PedroTeixeira_Correios, Aschroder_SMTPPro, Atwix_Gridthumbs, Evoda_CepAutomatico.

They may cause this issue.

Did you see such issue on clean default Magento software + BuyShop theme?

However we will recheck it again.

Yes, all of these tickets are problems related to the template and not because of any of my modules.

Tests done on a fresh install no additional modules and problems appeared again.

All these modules use have been tested before being added, including some that were created by myself.

Now all issues have been resolved, I do not have any problem in version 2.1.1

Let me make some suggestions for new versions of the template, it would be very welcome.

1) THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST EXISTING MODULES FOR MAGENTO, WOULD BE OF EXTREME VALUE TO ADD TO THE TEMPLATE, (Very important for configurable products):

2) Create the option to use images in the navigation menu;

3) Add more font choices;

4) setting (Colors, backgrounds, fonts) put the option to change the font size.

Is there a way to have the original product ribbons for NEW and SALE products instead of the new CSS ones where you have to create or alter them? I noticed there is an overlap of the labels on my cell phone when viewing product listings so I believe they are still there.
