The wordpress version is a separate item on ThemeForest it is not an update to the HTML version.

i had been observing this theme for two days but it’s counter is still showing 29 days left. I think it’s stuck ..

No, this is just for the themeforest version, every time you go to the page it sets the timer to the time now +30 days.

Otherwise I’d have to keep going to change the date every month

The version that you can purchase counts down normally.
