Hi — Is there a way to have images stacked on top of each other going down the portfolio page instead of gallery with the < > arrows? I want to accomplish this layout, but without having to make one huge image: http://codyradcliff.com/#item:lenovo-influencer-network. Also, I am wanting be be able to add videos on some pages, but cant unless its in the gallery mode. Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Cody

Hi Cody,

You can do it, but in the case when new item is opened in the new page (not withing the current page). To do this you have to disable initialization of Cycle plugin (modifying Javascript file custom.js).

Hi — quick question… could you point me in the right direction to edit the position of the nav text when its opened on mobile? I would like to align it on the left side instead of being pushed over to the right.

Thanks!

Hi, in the Admin Panel > Laborator find the Custom CSS area and paste this line of code:

.mobile-menu-container .main-nav {
float: none !important;
}

Hi and thanks for the great theme!

I was able to set it up really fast, but now I’ve come across a problem: Apparently the category filter an my front page is only filtering images that are already visible. I chose the “endless scroll” option with 4 columns and 3 rows, so there are 12 images on the front page. By clicking on the category above, I expected to see all images of this category.

But this is not the case: Only those images are shown that have been among the first 12 (and additionally the horizontal bar with “show more”). So inside some category pages, I don’t see any pics at all, but only the “show more” button, which then leads to loading the whole bunch of images. I think this is pretty confusing for the customer.

In the documentation I read:
“This type of pagination uses AJAX so once the user clicks “Load More” it will automatically continue to load new items (if have) till the end of them. Category filtering is applied also for new items that are appended by clicking “Load More” button.”

If I understand this correctly, the category filter should filter ALL items and not just the first (in my case) 12?

I hope you can help me because my php skills are not quite good enough to be able to write it myself…

Thanks, Simone

Hi dear Simone

I have read your issue carefully and I’ve modified the code to make it work better. So please download this file:

http://cl.ly/XCqH

And replace to ~/wp-content/themes/calcium/assets/js/

The added functionality is that if user clicks on a category that has no loaded elements from particular category it will automatically click the load more button and load the other items.

This is not the best choice maybe but I think is smarter than letting user manually click Show/Load more button.

Hopefully you’ll like it.

Hello, i am having the same issue as cmrstar430. Im creating separate thumbnail images for each project and setting them as the featured image, but when published the quality is blurry and not the same as the original file. I am looking gin to the functions.php file but am not sure what needs to be adjusted. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi sarahjoyhood,

Please replace this file on calcium/ theme folder and see if its fixed:

Download functions.php here: http://cl.ly/XX1g

Then see if images looks clearer.

Thank you, replacing the functions.php file worked for the clarity of the images, but now they have all shrunk and have white space around them. You can see them at sarahjoyhood.com
