Hello, thanks for the great template.

I have a question though. Is quick shop supposed to work on small devices? If you change size of the page and make it smaller quick-shop link does not work. Please help.

Well you can start by enabling the ”.image-overlay-1” in tablet/mobile design (in previous reply I incorrectly stated that quick shop is enabled for tablet version, which is not true). Do that in assets/main-stylesheet.css.liquid in your Template Editor. From then on you will have to style it so that it displays nicely in tablet/mobile versions. It’s going to be a quite tricky and you should have solid web development skills if you attempt this.

my site does not show correctly on IE7, 8 and 9 specially the nav and the header – footer colors www.metrosnacksny.com – can you please provide a solution ?

please ignore – I figured it out! thanks

Hi, the item you bought is not a shopify theme – it’s a just a html template. You can get the Shopify theme here: http://themeforest.net/item/callisto-for-shopify-premium-responsive-theme/3046802

Hi

What is the situation with your mobile navigation, yes it re-sizes fine but all the holders are selects without any a tags. Even when I add links within the select tags it does nothing, additionally I don’t see any JS than manipulates this to work.

Are we to code a working responsive navigation ourselves.

Just seems bizarre that such fundamental thing would not be working out of the template, yes is styled to look visual but does nothing

Can you advice

Hi.

In assets/global.js there is a function initNavigationSelector(). It makes every select that has class “navigationSelector” added in to a redirect. Add that to mobile menu, place url as value and it should be ok.

And you’re right, it might make sense to make this a default. We will do that in future updates.

Pls help… I can’t find a way to ‘add sub-category pages’ under the ‘main-header’ array of navs. I see nothing supporting this in shopify admin and I need to add 2 sub-pages under the same main nav title. Also, font support. I need to edit font arrays, I added new google font link to the css but it will not show up under the themes>typography. Thank you

I am having this issue as well.

what exactly does that look like? Can u update the page in the download so us that no not what we are really doing but find these templates useful. OR post the code as a response so we can copy and paste into our templates and by the way this thing is so beautiful Except for this glitch.

Hey, check your e-mail ;)

Hi Looking at your mobile preview option on a Windows 7 PC and when viewing the live preview on a Windows mobile phone, the navigation menu does not work. The drop down appears but does not link to any pages. Has this issue been corrected in the January update and the live preview has not been updated? I want to buy this theme, but how it renders on a mobile is important to me. Also is there a working contact form with this template?

Planetshine

Hey. Yes the mobile navigation has been updated in the latest version of template, and just is not reflected in the demo page (oops..). There is a contact form, but it’s just an HTML representation, that does not really do anything. The functionality has to be coded for it. http://planetshine.net/demo/callisto-html/contact-form.html

Hi again. On the homepage I am trying to change the quick shop image and text for each item on the page. I can see the text and code for the first item, but I can’t see where to change the quick shop images, text and links for the others.

Planetshine

Hey. The quickshop that’s present in the HTML template is nothing more than the HTML and CSS, and there is a sample content for just one product. Generally our clients create these quick shops by loading the content with AJAX. Much like we have done in our themes. Other solutions would require to load all the info for all the products together with the rest of page, which is not a very good idea in regard to load speeds.

I am looking for an HTML type / ASP site like this.

What shopping cart does this HTML version use. Or is it inbuilt. Is there a Admin section for adding products pricing sizes etc How are shipping fees calculated / managed etc etc How do I add Payment interfaces (Bank / Gateway)

thanks

Hey, this item is just plain static HTML. It does not do anything by itself. If you want a ready-made solution take a look at Woocommerce and Shopify version of Callisto.
