Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

Theme does not install. Shows error “missing style.css”.

This happens because you tried to upload the incorrect file to wordpress. Here’s what you should have done:

1) Go to Downloads section of Themeforest

2) Click download and choose either “All files & documentation” or “Installable WordPress file only”

If you chose “All files & documentation”, then unzip this folder and install the file on your wordpress.

If you chose “Installable WordPress file only”, then just install the file on your Wordpress

Do I need to enter license key for Visual Composer and Revolution Slider?

You do not need the license key to use these plugins.

License keys are meant for customers who bought the plugins separately, unlike in this case when we have bought them for all of our clients and bundled them with this theme. This means that when there is an update, we will release a new version of theme, that includes it. If your ever have problems with the plugin, contact us and we will resolve it or pass it on to the developer.

How to add new Google fonts?

Google fonts are defined in callisto/themes/settings.php. Look for $google_fonts. There you will find a list of all google fonts used. To add new ones, just copy an existing item and modify it’s slug, name and url. For url use just the final par of google fonts full URL.
