Thanks Jami!

Very nice job! Smooth and sound is this theme. Good luck with sales my friend!

designcrumbs

Thanks a lot!

Hm, looking good!

designcrumbs

Thanks!

too bad that this is a niche theme. maybe you will consider making it a business theme. it looks great.

designcrumbs

Hi seanheis, It is a niche theme, but most of the things that make it ‘niche’ are options that have fallbacks. So this could easily be used for a business. :)

Finally, an author gets it! Built in email subscription with auto response and email confirmation!!!!! F aweber. Donations – Awesome. Your don’t have to be a politician to appreciate the value in this theme – SOLD !

PS, ultra lightweight theme – no bloated code here.

Thanks for the purchase and kind words ijango!

I found a few things to clean up, so I’ll be pushing version 1.1 out soon!

I notice using the “options framework” uploader for “logo” fails resizes everything time to “gravatar-dimensions” . But if you grab the img url and paste it in and save it works

What do you mean “gravatar-dimensions”?

Cool one! Great Job! A mobile fallback would be fine :)

designcrumbs

I’ve thought about it. I might add it in the future ;)

Nice work Jake :)

Thanks George!

Thank you for doing a campaign theme! It might be a niche theme, but campaigns are a truly massive niche. My firm specialize in “eCampaigns” and do on average 5-6 campaign sites per month, so I can really appreciate what you have done here!

Some quick questions if you don’t mind. Is there a blog short-code included with the theme? I routinely have to include latest news on the front page and press releases on another.

Also, is the contribute button optional? I use an “action center” on the right or left for that sort of thing.

designcrumbs

Hi HuberUS, There’s not a shortcode, but the archive pages display exactly the same as the blog for the specific reason you’re citing. So if you need to have a few main ‘blogs’ broken into categories, simply but the category archive links in the menu. As far as the home page, right now (version 1.0) the ‘Latest Posts’ section pulls from all posts, but I plan on changing that in version 1.1 to optionally pull from a specific category, such as your News category.

Yes, the contribute button is optional. It’s a field in the options panel for any URL (whether it be PayPal, ActBlue, etc.) but if you leave it blank, the button won’t show up.

Just purchased and installed your theme but I am having some issues. The additional theme options under appearance aren’t showing up and there are missing images as well as spots on the site where it looks like some PHP Operations have failed (alot of “falses” outputted on the site).

designcrumbs

You need to install and activate the “Options Framework” plugin by Devin Price. Once you do that, all those issues will be cleared up.

If you have any more problems, please open up a thread at my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com

Thanks!

Thats embarassing…looks like upon opening up the Readme, that was the first item on the TODO list.

Thanks for the quick response, everything else is working great!

Good to hear! ;)

Hello! Great theme, but i have some questions.

You say on the description it`s responsible, but when i resize my browser, i don`t see the responsivness :/

Also, on the top menu, can i disable the ribbon effect and use just a solid color on the CSS file?

And last… could you add a related posts to the end of the posts?

Thanks in advance :)

Default-user

Any plans for making it responsive?

Also, about the related posts, i ask because most plugins have some ugly designs. The best person to make a cool design to the theme would be you guys, since you made it… and know all about the visual aspects of it ^^

designcrumbs

I’m considering making it responsive for version 2.0 in a few months.

As far as related posts, I typically don’t do anything like that in my themes, but if I get enough requests for it I’ll definitely look into it.

designcrumbs

I know it’s been a while, but if you’re still in the market for a theme like this, I just released version 2.0 and it is now responsive.

I’m considering to purchase this template for the campaign that I will be running here shortly. My only concern is the fact that I wouldn’t know how to get it onto a wordpress site and operating. I’m not the most savvy in this area. Maybe some tips or guidelines on how to do it and I will purchase it? Thanks.

There are a lot of sites out there that give detailed instructions on how to set up a WordPress site and install themes. A quick Google search should turn up a few. The official WP site has a ‘New To WordPress’ page here http://codex.wordpress.org/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start

There are also sites like http://www.wp101.com that, for a small feel ($19), have a lot of video tutorials to walk you through every aspect of WordPress.

This is a really nice theme. Quick question can you edit the ‘Make a Donation’ text to say something else in the theme? I want to use this for a business and not political.

Thanks.

designcrumbs

Yes you can. There’s a field in the theme options to set that to be anything you want, or to disable it all together.

Thanks for the interest!

Doesn’t look like I can reply to your reply… Can the template be used with the basic wordpress.com or does it need to be used with wordpress.org and hosting provider?

designcrumbs

No, any theme here on ThemeForest and most marketplaces CANNOT be used on wordpress.com sites. They can only be used on a self hosted WordPress install from the download file on wordpress.org.

Love this theme! My only suggestion would be for the theme to work better with inserting images. I tried to insert images on a few pages and the alignment wasn’t working properly, neither were captions.

designcrumbs

If you could open a thread at my support forum, http://support.designcrumbs.com I’ll gladly help out with whatever your image issues are. And if it’s a problem with the theme I’ll make the necessary fixes and push out an update.

Very nice ! I have two questions. Is it possible to presented the latest posts into thumbnail blog. And is it possible in “Join the movement” to add other things like the city…

designcrumbs

I’m not sure what the first question about the “thumbnail blog” means. Could you clarify?

And the email capture area is a widget, it only supports Name and Email.

designcrumbs

Oh. No, not by default. You’d have to do some customizations.

I want to purchase the HTML non WordPress version if youve got it …

Have you?

Thanks !!!

designcrumbs

I’ll be making that soon. Hopefully pushing it live by the end of March.

designcrumbs

Hi Fran, I just released the HTML version if you’re still interested. http://themeforest.net/item/campaign-political-html-template/1840180

Hello Sir. Is it easy to include the image slider (found on the homepage) at the top of a (inner) Page? Thanks a lot.

designcrumbs

There are a few steps that would be involved. It depends on if you want it MOVED to another page or ALSO INCLUDED on another page. Not terrible hard, just some copy and paste. I’d be able to walk you through this if you open a thread in my support forum, if you purchase the theme.

...oh yes. I’d love to see a screen grab of the theme options page. Is that possible? Thanks a lot. Matt

were can i find the purchase code to sign up on your forum?

designcrumbs

Go to your Downloads page (which for you would be http://themeforest.net/user/omar333/downloads ), click on “License Certificate” under Campaign. That will download a text file. Open the file and look for the “Item Purchase Code”. That’s what you’ll need.

I’ll see you in the forum!
