Hi I have two pre-order questions:

Astoundify Team.

Hi, i have just purchased the theme. I uploaded the theme in my host server using wordpress. I am trying to use the theme as the installation video suggests (From the read-me file).

http://docs.astoundify.com/article/156-theme-installation

I downloaded and installed the Astoundify Crowdfunding plugin. But the top notification still tells me to install the plugin. I have tried to activate and de-activate the feature. But the upper notification still tells me to install the plugin. For this reason there is no change in Downloads-Settings menu.

I am using Wordpress 3.9.2

I tried to upload my custom logo in the Appearance > Header menu.. I also cropped it to fit it on the left side of the screen as CAMPAINFY logo.. but it is getting stretched everytime and becomes an header image..I also tried it resizing to 200*33 pixels but the logo stll gets strectched..

I’m really confused with the crowdfunding plugin…

You write in the bottom of this page :

“Compatible With Our Free Crowdfunding Plugin”

With this link : http://wordpress.org/plugins/appthemer-crowdfunding/

But there it says :

“This plugin has moved!

The Fundify Crowdfunding plugin is included for free with the purchase of Fundify or CrowdPress, but is no longer delivered or supported via the WordPress plugin repository.”

And it is not noticed as being developped by Astoundify but Virtuous Giant (Ignition Deck).

My question : If this plugin, being an essantial part of your theme, is not any longer maintained on WP repository how are we going to get updates giving us the confidence that the plugin is working, compatible with EDD evolution and up to date regarding security issues ?

Are you still updating this plugin here : https://github.com/spencerfinnell/crowdfunding/archive/develop.zip ?

Being from now a different version of the Fundify plugin being developped by Ignition Deck… I’m lost !!!

Thanks for your help.

Astoundify

It seems they removed the plugin from WordPress.org, we are re-uploading the plugin to WordPress.org for the Campaignify theme.

In the mean time the plugin can still be downloaded directly here: https://github.com/spencerfinnell/crowdfunding/archive/develop.zip

In the future we plan to re-release the theme and allow for simple pledging using Stripe.com

I’m reading here :

https://github.com/spencerfinnell/crowdfunding/commit/6f31d53c74fe5ed7f0c18cebc0e00f406c5c703c

That the campaignify theme has been removed from the list of themes that are compatibles with the crowdfunding plugin.

Can you confirm that ? Should I buy your theme if it is not going to be compatible with crowdfunding plugin ?

And here :

https://github.com/spencerfinnell/crowdfunding/commit/3c16297956578089a75991051a9777c35d649e6f

It says :”Virtuous Giant is now the owner of Crowdfunding :)”

So should you still write in your theme description : “Compatible With Our Free Crowdfunding Plugin” ?

I’m sorry to go into all these details but the situation is very confusing to me.

You mean Stripe.com instead of crowdfunding plugin ?

Dear Astoundify,

Is it possible to show more than 1 donation bar as we would like to create several campagnes. Because of this we would like to have several donation bars.

Now the donation bar on any page is connected to the ‘featured campagne’. Is it possible to connect a donation bar to a campagne ID?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Astoundify

We did not create the theme, if you need help customizing themes, contact a vendor such as WerkPress.com or Envato Studios – http://studio.envato.com/

Default-user

We were told you created the donation bar part of the website? Could you let me know who I can contact about this question? Is it a plugin or custom code created by you?

Astoundify

We did not create that donation bar. Sorry.

I, too, am confused by the relationship between the themes and plugins being offered by Astoundify and IgnitionDeck and how they relate to each other. At first, it appeared that you simply sold the rights to IgnitionDeck to sell some of your themes. Now, it looks like your Crowdfunding plugin will soon be obsolete and you’re going to go to a “simple Stripe” something.

Your plugin is free, which is great. But, if it will no longer be supported, I’d rather start with a different solution.

After researching all the themes, I think your Campaignify theme is the best looking, most functional of them all, but of course, it’s limited to 1 campaign at a time.

If I was a “family member” who wanted to do multiple campaigns with a PLUGIN that would kept up-to-date for the next several years, which would you choose?

Also, will campaignify work with the IgnitionDeck plugin? Or, will your free crowdfunding plugin work on any IgnitionDeck theme?

Thanks!

Astoundify

We are in the process of simplifying how Campaignify works i.e. it will support Stripe pledging/donating in a future theme update.

Anyone wanting to continue to use the crowdfunding plugin can do that but understand that it is no longer maintain by us, it would be understood that if updates are issued by the new owners of the crowdfunding plugin then it might possibly break features that are coded into the Campaignify theme. We would no longer support older versions of the theme, only the latest version.

Hope that makes sense.

Default-user

Okay, I think I might have it now. You used to be AppThemer, but you’ve been Astoundify for a while. You sold some of your themes to Ignition Deck and you sold the crowdfunding plugin too. The Campaignify theme WON’T work with the Ignition Deck plugin and probably not the crowdfunding plugin either once you’ve “simplified” the Campaignify theme. But it will work with the Stripe pledging/donating once it’s been updated. You’ll still be offering the Campaignify theme and you’ll be supporting it after you’ve “simplified it” but you’ll no longer be supporting the version of the theme that’s currently using the Crowdfunding plugin or that plugin itself (since you sold it).

BTW, did you sell that plugin to Ignition Deck too or to someone else? Whoever you sold it too, do you know if they plan to maintain it?)

What that says to me is to hold off on purchasing the Campaignify theme until you’ve made your upgrade and to find out if anyone will be supporting your former Crowdfunding plugin.

I’d also like to know when you plan to upgrade and if you think Campaignify will be a solid crowdfunding solution when that’s done or if one of the other options might be best.

Please let me know if I have it right or if I missed something. Again,, I love your Campaignify theme and wish you all the best in your transition!

P.S. Are you also changing your name from Astoundify to AppThemers or is there someone else in the mix, too? :)

Astoundify

We are Astoundify, no longer AppThemer. :D

hi, my gallery widget is not working, I have emailed you through your support forum. It would be good if you would reply here in case others have the same issue.

Astoundify

Sorry you must be mistaken, we do not have a support forum, we do support via email. If you would like help please submit your request HERE (once registered)

I read this on the support forum (that used to exist but is now sadly closed what a shame!!!) ... the resolution was a plugin called ‘Unattach and Re-attach’, which will let you attach images via the media library (the ‘Media’ tab).

Pre sales:

What I need is a full theme/plugin which allows me to create my own crowd funded project (I want multiple, but will probably be under 10.)

I DON’T need or want other users to create their own projects at all..

I simply want people to register their interest, it keeps it in the backend, and when the amount of users who want to buy reaches the limit, it can automatically send a message/invoice etc.

At the moment, how does this process work on your theme? What happens once the required amount is reached?

What plugin does it use? Will the plugin become obsolete (read one of the comments)? If it’s another plugin, do I have to purchase that plugin first, before buying this theme?

I need some clarity before I can purchase.

Hopefully you can answer in detail and clear things up and for other users who may want to purchase too

Hello,

Does this theme support multi-language? I want to launch a site for people from different countries.

Thanks.

Pre Sale

I’ve been looking at the comments related to ignition deck and I want to make sure I understand what is happening:

1. So I want this theme for a single project. You are saying that I will have to make sure that I keep the theme updated as the crowdfunding plugin gets updated?

2. Is the crowdfunding plugin that you made which is now transferring ownership going to remain free?

3. Do you intend to update this theme as needed in order for it to remain compatible with the plugin?

Thanks for your time – I really like this single project theme and it’s the reason I want to use campaignify + plugin instead of ignition deck

Hello,

This is a pre-sale question.

Does this theme support users creating accounts to submit their own projects?

Also, I can’t see a project page. How would someone donate to their chosen project?

Kind regards,

Ben
