as far as I can see, you added event page, but you didn’t add any event
At least you didn’t add event with date after today.
So, Dashboard -> Events -> Add new
It is very important to have ‘Start date’ field populated as suggested above.

We purchased the theme and have the same problems as cshaver eg: cshaver SAYS PURCHASED I really like the layout of this theme but there are a lot of issues I can’t seem to resolve. 1. as we wrote in previous comments here on TF, slide images should be added as featured and not in content of slide.
Re events: it is very important to have start date, because otherwise it wont be shown on events page or campaign trail.

OK, can you check with your hosting provider, because it looks like server side problem (file permissions, missing GD2 support, etc)
Just show them your warnings, and they will realize what server settings should be changed.

1. create page ‘Home’ 2. dedicate template ‘Home’ to this page 3. go to Settings->Reading and choose ‘Home’ page to be your static home page (blog field leave blank) 4. create new slide and add featured images to it.
I have completed the 4 steps mentioned above, the slides do appear… but they only change on refresh… I need them to work as a slideshow… like the demo. Can you please help.

ok, you set your WordPress to show only one post at most on blog pages. That’s why it is showing slides only on reload.
Anyway, I changed settings of slider, so now it will show all slides (check homeSlider.php) and notice this line:
$searchArgs[‘posts_per_page’] = -1;
You can set this to show as much slides as you want.

Hate to be another one with Campaign Trail not displaying (I’ve read through this entire thread).
The event page has been created, events are added with images and start dates.. but there’s nothing at the bottom of any page for events (it’s selected in “Pages & Categories”), and the countdown also isn’t showing (yet it’s set in “Candidate Options” as “2013, 1, 25, 0, 0, 0”).

Same email is used both for contact form and newsletter sign up.
