I have a problem. In the demo, I can change the color of the sidebar, but when I try to change it in my computer, the color of the dropdown menu doesn’t change. Any fix? thanks.

Thank you for the heads up. We forgot to change the dropdown background. Can you please use “noize.png” instead of “side-bg.png” in ”.menu-v ul li ul”. This should fix the issue

Is this theme compatible with Tumblr?

This is an HTML template it is not compatible with Tumblr. It just includes a page which draws last 20 posts from Tumblr.

I opened this theme in Dreamweaver and the divs are incorrectly configured. It is impossible to work with this theme in DW. The content is under the fixed sidebar, the other divs are inside the content divs in the wrong places. Please advise

You are probably working with the “Design View” on Dreamweaver. On “Design View” you can only edit simple templates. A template like Caprice that are functional and jQuery enhanced should be edited through the “Code View”.
So you are saying only coders can work with this template? That is not the function of a template. The layout on the screen is determined by the css. The layout is flawed. It is simple math that fixes this stuff.

No, If you have some HTML /CSS knowledge, you can build your website with Caprice easily. You don’t need to have Javascript knowledge.
Dreamweaver’s design view isn’t reliable because it doesn’t support some javascript and CSS function so the layouts of most advanced templates seem flawed.
We highly recommend that you should use it on code view and test it on the modern browsers.
I am a college professor who teaches web design and development and what you are saying just isn’t true. DW supports all js and CSS function. I work with tons of templates and this one is poorly designed for the industry’s leading web design software.
Your template has basic math errors in it and you should fix them. I don’t have time to go through it all and do that, so I will not use a template that cannot be supported in a GUI editor.

We’re just saying Dreamweaver supports all js and CSS function on “code view” like the other html editors but not on “design view”.

I was able to fix the DW issue with some mods to the CSS . Question, when I run this template in IE, I get the activex warning box. Is there a way to avoid this? Last, I need a mobile version of this template. Do you have that? Thank you.

1. When working offline on IE, the warning message appears to make the scripts work. You can disable the warning through Internet Explorer settings. This doesn’t appear when working online, or on other browsers when working offline/online.
2. The template is not responsive.

You cannot see any mobile CSS because the template is not responsive. But the template works properly on mobile devices.
I am working on this template at the moment, but I don’t want the submenu text to move to the right on hover. I can’t find the code in the CSS files. Is it done with javascript? I would like to remove it. Thank you. Pretty template, by the way.
