Is there a way to edit client name (for portfolio) in the post settings to my liking and add new fields to it?

brainbuzzmedia

You can change it in portfolio_single.php

Hello SomD,

I am just finishing my webpage, really easy going template bus I still have some questions:

Slider: The image of the slide looks really bad scaling. I made the image on different sices but still is not good.

BlogPosts: I am not able to see the blog posts icons on the home. Not even with the posts you created under the category icon.

Here is a link to the webpage: http://www.gcaseguros.com.mx/

Thanks in advance =)

Slider: The image you are using is 500px wide and you are displaying it at 1700px wide, so yes it will be blurry. Try uploading an image that is 1700px wide.

It looks like you have figured out the icons because I can see them there. If not, make sure to use the type “feature posts” to show posts with icons and make sure to upload an image in the icon field on each post.

1700 wide is a lot, can we display images smaller in the slide?

brainbuzzmedia

You could either put the image on a background to make it a 1700px image, use an image that isn’t that large but closer than 500px so that it doesn’t look bad (say 1000px), or change the css for how wide the slider is and make it just the width of the site.

Hi I have an earlier version of your theme and would like to update it. Sorry if I overlooked earlier guidance on this – what is the easiest way to update? Thanks.

Hello?? could we have some feedback please…

brainbuzzmedia

Sorry, replied to your previous post.

Hello, the “custom classes” for custom doesn’t work. Can you resolve this problem? Thanks

brainbuzzmedia

It is working. Please check the source or use an addon like firebug to make sure you are taking the correct element.

In Content Layout Settings, when I add the Blog Posts area, it is showing the truncated blogs in the page as it is supposed to. But it is NOT showing page numbers (on bottom of page) to go to the next page of blog posts. I cannot see the entire list of blog posts. What is wrong?

brainbuzzmedia

To set which categories show up on the blog go to Theme Options > Content Settings > Excluded Categories.

Thank you. What if I have two pages using the Blog template? I want to show posts from one category on one page and posts from another category on the second page. Possible?

brainbuzzmedia

I don’t think it will work like that without changing the line of code for the loop in one of the blog templates.

Hi there! The top nav has disappeared on the site and I have no idea how to get it back. It was there and now suddenly gone. We haven’t even been working on the site. Please help. The site is claytonv.com

You will see that the top nav has completely disappeared. I have tried everything I can think of to get it back.

You are completely right…there are elements of the hack that I have to address. I will be in touch after I figure this out…

brainbuzzmedia

After you do so, please send me a message with a login to the wordpress so that I can see what’s going on.

Problem #1: Having a video start problem in a slider. The following code works and displays the video pre-load image fine in the header. However, it requires the site visitor to click TWICE to start the video playing:

<iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AnyYouTubeVideoID?autoplay=0&border=1&controls=1&modestbranding=1&rel=0&showinfo=0&showsearch=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

NOTE: you can replace the AnyYouTubeVideoID with any valid YouTube video ID and it doesn’t seem to matter.

All videos within the I-FRAME code seem to require a double click to start the video. Any ideas about how to fix that, so only ONE click is needed?

Problem #2: Having a video display problem in Firefox and IE (on Mac and PC) when using the following code in a slide to display a video:

<div><object width="853" height="480" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AnyYouTubeVideoID?version=3&hl=en_US&autohide=1&autoplay=0&controls=1&fs=1&modestbranding=0&rel=0&showinfo=0" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed width="853" height="480" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AnyYouTubeVideoID?version=3&hl=en_US&autohide=1&autoplay=0&controls=1&fs=1&modestbranding=0&rel=0&showinfo=0" allowFullScreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" /> </object></div>

NOTE: you can replace the AnyYouTubeVideoID with any valid YouTube video ID and it doesn’t seem to matter.

When the above code is used the visitor doesn’t see the entire pre-load image in the slide when using Firefox or IE. You can see part of the video pre-load image in the top half of the slide, but the bottom half of the slide just shows the themes standard video (black) play image.

Safari and Chrome seem to show the entire pre-load image in the entire slide, but for some reason Firefox and IE are only showing the image in the top half of the slider. Any ideas about how to fix that, so the entire video image is shown in the slider?

Hi, can i have a link to this?

Default-user

Sorry, was out of town. Got back and did some more testing and figured out it was the AUTOPLAY option which caused the TWO-CLICK issue. Removed that parameter and then a single click got the video to run fine.

Great theme. I’m looking to do two things. How can I edit or remove the “our friends, archive, etc” section at the end of the page?

Also, the blog posts area are appearing completely, and only a summary should appear with a “read more” button. Solution?

The page is http://biomaterials.biocant.pt/wp/

Thnks!

I don’t wont any footer area. I can get it “blank” by putting blank text fields on the 4 footer areas. But how can I remove the black footer completely?

brainbuzzmedia

you could add this to the Theme Options > Styling Options > Custom css:

div.footer {display:none;}

thnk you!

There isn’t one in carbon, unfortunately. There will be one in future themes including my newest being released this month.

Re above – Never mind, I figured it out. But how do you get bullets with your lists?

Hi, Would it be possible to add more fields to the contact form? or do i have to use contact form 7 or something. Thanks

brainbuzzmedia

It would be easier just to use a contact form plugin.
