Oh it seems you are uploading the whole zip from themeforest. You will need to unzip it and there will be another zip inside with _install in the name.

I am very interested in this theme. I have had it downloaded and tested the wpml plugin with this theme and it’s not working. Each post/page is now showing language one above the other. on each page and not separating them? Has this been used successfully with this theme?

When viewing on a 1920 pixel wide monitor, the slider has black on the left and right edges. I’d like that to be white, if possible. How can I change that?

It is designed like that but you can change it if you want. In style.css, change “div.slider_container” so that the width is 100% and the padding is 0.

I have a problem when i use a the Nexgen Gallery plugin. my gallery doesn´t work like the demo. the documentation, you said that included a version of this open source plugin which you have modified to always use the same image pop up script that this theme uses (prettyphoto).
my question: I have to modified a code to works like a demo? what i have to modified to work like a demo?
What problem are you having? It is not using the same prettyphoto image viewer but rather a different one?
hi, is there a way to change the color red that you have for the theme? I want the red to be a81111 but I dont know where to change it. my logo has this red but your site on the ‘black and red’ option has a different red. could you tell me where it is please.
You can use the custom color options in the theme options – style options and set it to that color red and black.
what is a custom class css? what is it used for?
Custom class will just add any extra css classes to an element. It is for advanced users / developers who know css and would like more control.
im trying to upload a photo to the custom picture ( there are 3 of them in a row on the main page) but it wont let me select a photo from my media list. any ideas?

Hi there, looks like a bug on my part. Open up the file in carbon/css/fonts/body_times.css and remove this part:
div.nav-menu ul ul { margin-top:38px; }

are there anymore feature box icons? is it just a font? or is it specific to your design. i need some music icons and a few others but Im not sure how to instal them. any suggestions?
It is just a font with that particular effect. It won’t function the same with an image as it does with a font.

Yes, you can choose which category or categories show up in a portfolio and create as many portfolios as you like.

I am trying to recreate the format of the “portfolio medium” as shown in the Carbon demo site. I would like the top level nav to have a button that says “Visit Our Dogs”.
When you click on “Visit Our Dogs” I would like to be taken to a page that shows the 3 up line up of portfolios, with captions, such as “Ferocious”, “Meet Charlie”, “Welcome Puppies”, etc.
When you click on any of those portfolios(?), you are taken to the portfolio as shown, with 5 photos and text, etc. So within “Meet Charlie” there will be 5/whatever number photos of Charlie, plus text about Charlie.
I have tried to figure this out, as have two other people. Either we are all idiots (possible), or the instructions aren’t clear enough for idiots, or we aren’t getting the page, album, portfolio definitions.
I will not be using this site as a blog with posts. It is a regular site with a photo gallery.
Can you help me? I love Carbon, it’s beautiful. I am working on a dog run website, www.wspdogrun.org, as a volunteer project. So I have limited brain cells to devote to it and am stumped. Thanks!
Ok, the easiest way to do this:
- create a new page and choose the template “portfolio medium” for it. choose the category to appear in it (ferocious). then do this again except choose the category “meet charlie”, then again and choose the category “welcome puppies”.
that will set up three different portfolios, one for each category (the categories should be created first so you can choose them and they may need 1 post assigned to them also)
- next, create a new page with full width. using the template builder, add three “custom” areas and change their size all to 1/3 each. now put whatever title, picture, etc you want for these (such as Ferocious, Meet Charlie, Welcome Puppies) and where it asks for a link you just link them to each of the portfolios you just created.

hi it where multiple sites the code was: vertical-align: text-top; Didn’t work. I finally fixed it (but not in a very classy way) with background positioning left top and adding a couple of pixels above the bullet
you can use a background and just turn the bullets off.
on the home there is a ‘super headline’ just below the slider. when i remove it from the theme it still shows up on the home page but it is not in the edit page. my question is ” does the slider have a border on the bottom or is there something wrong with my wordpress”? I would like the slider to have no super headl;ine at the bottom.
It should show a standard page title if you remove the super headline. If you don’t want to show the page title you can turn it off in the wordpress block or page options.

Seems like there is a bug when the permalink structure is set the way you had it. I changed it to “Post name” and it works. I will fix this bug and upload an update for the theme also.
