Hi Ed,

I found another bug.

1: I use the left menu. 2: I use the page builder. 3: I use a row with a background image “Cover”. 4: I set it to window height.

The bug is that when i set it on window height the content stops, so i can not scroll down and half of the content is lost.

When i set it on content height then i can see all content.

Window height loses content so u can not scroll down to see all content.

Hi Ed! I installed WooCommerce on Cardinal template.

When I search a product by search field, the search result “damage” the site footer. Maybe there is a problem with “ul” and “li” tags or another tag not closed.

Hi Swiftideas,

I have successfully built my first simple website with the cardinal and it looks great.

I am looking to purchase this theme again to built for a 2nd client. I really like the swift frame work.

I am considering between this and joyn theme, as its has some interesting header designs. May i ask if the page options and theme options are similar?

Also, is it possible to do a page like this page with cardinal: http://www.squarespace.com/tour/

Where there is a slider above a menu, content below a menu and it can be change as i click on each item in the menu.

Thank you!

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Yes – the theme options/page options are part of the framework which both themes use.

That kind of page style is definitely possible design wise, but there isn’t such functionality for the slider – you could possibly use revolution slider for something of that style.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Is there anyway to make the NAV menu to become sticky at the bottom instead of top?

SwiftIdeas

Not as standard, you’d need to add custom css/js for this.

SwiftIdeas

You can use the following:

[dropcap2]A[/dropcap2]

[dropcap3]A[/dropcap3]

[dropcap4]A[/dropcap4]

Does the theme supports the latest Woocommerce as well as the popular extensions like “Product-Addon”, “Composite Products” and “Dynamic Pricing” from woothemes? Please advise. Thank you!

SwiftIdeas

Yes it does support the latest WooCommerce. All those plugins should work without issues – If you have any issues then we’ll be happy to look into it.

Hi,

1) One of the demo shows a crowdfunding site, do I need to get other plugins to have this crowdfunding feature?

2) Can I have both crowdfunding and woocommerce features on one website?

3) Is it possible to install one of the demo as a child theme as I would like to have the flexibility to do some editing. I have not tried installing a child theme yet…so just wondering if this is possible.

Please advise,

Thank you!

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

1) There is a 3rd party plugin which powers this. Unfortunately it’s since been bought out and not available, but we have the latest version which we can provide for you.

2) Yes you can.

3) Yes you can edit with a child theme, either overriding functions, or templates where possible.

For Q3, can the demo be imported to a child theme? that is more important as it will lessen my work.

SwiftIdeas

The demo itself is just content, there isn’t any code changes for specific demos, just theme settings and content.

Hi I really like this theme. I have a pre-sale question to see if it will work for my project. I’m building a site for an art exhibition. Ideally I’d like to build custom 2 post types Artists, and Artworks, that each have taxonomies Artists>Sculptors or Artwork>Paintings and relationships Artwork>Artists, and then build template pages that populate with the output from those post types.
  1. Can I create Custom Post Types in Cardinal then style the Custom Post Type pages using your Swift Page Builder?
  2. Do I need a plug-in to do it?
  3. Does your Page Builder integrate at all with the http://pods.io/Pods Plugin?
SwiftIdeas

1) Not currently, although we’ll be adding the option to do so in a near-future update.

3) We haven’t tested the plugin, so can’t guarantee compatibility.

Hello again, I was checking out the sandbox demo for this theme and I saw some stuff in there that I don’t see described in the documentation:

  1. What are SPB Sections?
  2. Similarly what are directory items?
Default-user

Also, what are the Standard, Aside, Quote, and other post formats for? What do they do?

SwiftIdeas

1) SPB Sections are sections which you use throughout your site, on different pages, but change frequently. This means you only have to update in one place and it will change across all pages.

2) Directory is for place listings, such as restaurants.

3) They are for various style of post. Aside is for a post without title, quote is for a short excerpt of text.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

We added BWP Minify as recommended in the discussion however it completely broke the site when settings were added (as per your screenshot to another poster).

The layout was almost unrecognisable. The only way to fix was not just to deactivate, but to delete the plugin files.

Have the issue before.

Also so you know there is a plugin that causes a big conflict on your site ‘speed booster pack’... Just so you know, it wrecks the way the page loads , removes formatting within woocommerce and it played havoc with credit card processing. Just in case you come across any issues with someone having that installed.

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

BWM will take a little configuration in some instances, especially with extra plugins that are included. In order for css minification to work, you may need to exclude a few css scripts in the config for BWM. Try individually to see where the issue occurs.

If you can provide a link to your site I’ll take a look at where best to progress for you.

Never heard of the Speed Booster Pack, but it sounds like it’s causing JS/CSS errors. I wouldn’t suggest running that in combination with BWM.

Hope that helps.

It’s been moved local now… these are the plugins though. All pretty standard?

SwiftIdeas

Yes, but if plugin js etc are minified the often conflicts can occur because of various different reasons. It can take quite a bit of config to get it just right.

HI, can we use the cardinal theme more than once ? I meant, in more than one customer ?

regards

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Yes you can, however you’ll need to purchase one regular license for each website you create.

Thanks,

Hi,

A question about the products pricing: In my shop, I have 3 types of products: ones that are fixed price per unit, which is easy to do. The other 2 are price per weight, and price for a curtain amount (for example: 4$ for 10 units). How can I support all the 3 types in the same site? If that makes any difference, I use catalog mode (no cart and actual buying on the site).

Thank you!

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

This would probably be something you need to seek a plugin for it, unless you just add the information in the description?

- Swift Ideas

I having an issue the Products are not adding to the cart.
