Hi Pete Hope you are well. I contacted you a while back about an issue that wasn’t resolved. Here’s my website – http://www.creativecone.co.uk as you will see all the Product Categories come onto the home page. I have loads so I don’t want them all to come in. You informed me that I have no choice in this, that’s just the way the template is designed I can’t choose how many are on the home page. I paid someone to just hide that section using code but when I change the background image or font they just appear again. I don’t know code and don’t want to have to pay this guy again so I was wondering if I give you the log in details if there is a way to permanently get rid of that section? Or preferably a way of allowing me to have just 4? It’s due to be launched on the 1st of October!! Thanks Emma

Thanks

Emma

Hi Emma

All well here thanks. The Creative Cone website is coming along well – good work!

It sounds like you have inadvertently overwritten the code that had been written to hide that section. I think your best bet would be to get the guy that wrote it to put it back and tell you how to avoid overwriting it in future.

Otherwise you’ll have to pay someone else to do it.

Hope that helps

I overwrote it by simply changing the background image. I think this template is great but this aspect is a fault in the design its not great that every category comes onto the home page.

BACreative

Hi Emma

Sorry, we don’t know how your custom code was created so we can’t advise on how it got overwritten. I’m sure the coder you used would be able to help though.

I would like to clarify that the category listing on the home page is not a fault. We designed it that way intentionally. It’s just unfortunate that it’s a feature that you don’t need.

Hi mudmaps1

Not sure what you mean but here is a link to our demo site: http://themes.bacreative.com.au/casablanca/

Let us know if that’s not what you wanted.

Cheers

Thanks for the link. How about linking that to Themeforest so we can get to it instead of the other versions you’ve currently got listed? http://themeforest.net/item/casablanca-woocommerce-21-with-background-video/full_screen_preview/6238924

BACreative

That’s a great point! It looks like the themeforest demo link is out of date – we’ll get that fixed up.

Thanks for letting us know

Hi, please can you advise me why the store locator isn’t working? My client informed me that it wasn’t working earlier (no recent changes had been made prior to this) so I have updated the theme to the latest version, WP is the latest version, I deactivated all plugins, tried different browsers & I couldn’t find the conflict/error.

I cannot code so I am unable to tell if there is a JS issue etc. Only thing firebug console shows is:

SyntaxError: syntax error position: new google.maps.LatLng( , ),

Many thanks, James (P.S the site is: http://www.kevanjon.com )

*UPDATE: I have figured it out – my client added a store in Southern Ireland where they do not have postal codes. Due to this it caused the whole map not to display

BACreative

Thanks James. That had us stumped – glad you posted the solution.

No worries, I just advised my client to cross check the address they are about to enter using Google Maps as then the correct information will be available.

Hi, I was wondering if it’s possible to upload the demo version of this theme to my site? Thanks.

BACreative

Hi funkshen

sorry for the slow response. We don’t have an XML available for this theme at present.

Hi, In the home page, the heading and subheading aren’t translatable? home-slider-tagline-heading home-slider-tagline-subheading Im using wpml and I cant change the home main texts. Help me please… +Thanks!

BACreative

Hi Nomadsss

I think you’ll need to manually change these. Are you able to do that?

Pete

Hi BACreative team,

we would like to adjust your product category pages. It would be great to have the possibility to add text to each category.

Example: In your demo please go to “Accessories” and “Wallets”. You see a h2—> “Search” headline and all products in category wallets. We want this page to be “static” and add an introduction text to it ? Is this possible?

The other solution would be to set up a new page and tell WordPress to only show products in one specific category to the end.

Hope you can help.

Cheers, Alex

Hi BACreative, would be great to receive some support! Thx Alex

BACreative

Hi Alex

Sorry for the slow response.

Adding introduction text to categories isn’t a theme option but you could do it with some custom editing of the files. You’ll need to render the WooCommerce Category description.

I hope that helps

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your response.

Would you please do that for me as I have no idea how. ;) Ofc I would be happy to pay for it.

Thanks, Alex

Hi, We have deactivated the global search box but it continues appearing. What’s happened?

Do you need a link?

Regards Vicente

BACreative

Hi Vicente

Thanks for sending that link. I think you have found a bug!

We’ll fix that and issue an update but in the meantime you could add the following code to the Stylesheet (style.css):

search {

display: none; }

Let me know how you go with that.

Hi, I have tried to insert the code in the page style.css but is has not worked fine. I have edited the file site-head.php and I have deleted the code about the icon search. Thanks and we hope your update.

BACreative

Aha, I can see I made a mistake when I copied the code, it should have included #search – sorry about that but I’m glad you have found another way of hiding the icon.

HI, quick question. I’ve configured the homepage to use the Showcase template. The text is showing up as per the proper template but the slider is not. I have selected the product slider group in theme options but still no joy. What am I missing?

here is the link to my site http://www.diandhepburn.ca

BACreative

Hi diandhepburn

Thanks for choosing Casablanca.

It looks like the missing step is to mark some products as featured products. Once you do this they’ll appear in the showcase on the home page.

Let me know if that is the case.

Hi, I saw in another comment that the new version doesn’t have a cart modal window pop up. Is there a way to add it? or better yet, (for me) take customers straight to the checkout or cart page after an item is added to the cart?

Can I use stripe with this theme?

Thank you!

BACreative

Hi Laurasabo

There isn’t a theme option for a add to cart modal with Casablanca. It would require custom code.

If you are using WooCommerce, Stripe should not be a problem.

Thank you,

I want to put a little description on the shop page and I have this conditional tag :

<?php if ( is_shop() ) { echo 'Hi! Take a look at our sweet tshirts below.'; } ?>

Can you please advise where I should put it. I tried loop-shop.php, page.php, content.php… so far no luck.

Also I unchecked the reviews in woocommerce settings but they still show up, how do I hide them?

Hi www.creativecone.co.uk I was wondering if you could help me please? When I put multiple items into the checkout and then click on the trolly symbol in the menu the little box that comes up doesn’t say the true total. I then click on view cart and checkout and if I try to delete one of the items in there it will not let me. It seemed to be working fine until I installed the new update. Unless I’d just not noticed it before. Don’t know if this makes sense I can send screen grabs if that would help. Thanks Emma

BACreative

Hi Emma

I just has a quick look and I think something is not quite right there – we’re looking at it in more detail now and I’ll let you know what we find.

Thanks for picking this up.

Thanks I would appreciate that. Once this glitch is sorted I can start letting people know about this website at long last!

chattertondesigns

Hi Pete any idea whats causing this yet?

Hi BACreative Team. We are having some issues with the Casablanca theme when viewed from a Mobile Device, either from an iPhone or Android device. The menu structure links do not work when they are NOT 1st level menus. All 1st level menu links work fine. But any 2nd or 3rd level menu links do not work. They just fail to go to the assigned URL and they just colapse back to the home page. Is this an issue you guys are aware of?

Thanks….. Great theme by the way. We love it.

Hi Dave

Thanks for buying Casablanca – glad you like it.

Could we have a look at your site to see if we can figure out what’s happening with the menus? You can PM us via the author page if you don’t want to share via the support forum.

Yes you’ll need to install WooCommerce first.

Hi Alex

Sorry We don’t offer a customisation service. It should be a fairly straightforward job though and any WordPress expert should be able to do it for you. Do you have anyone local?

Cheers
