i am having trouble installing the theme. I uploaded your items to the magento software via ftp, but in the backend admin panel, i cannot navigate to system cache. All links give me an error. Any ideas?

Celebrity theme doesn’t change or update any core files. What else you do before installing theme?
Post at lease error. You can enable error reporting by renaming /errors/local.xml.sample to /errors/local.xml

It is also possible that you have fresh install. In this case you need to do: - go to catalog -> manage categories. - create root directory - create categories under it. dont forget to set ‘Is Active’ = Yes
- go to system -> manage stores - create or edit existing store. choose root category for store – the one you created above.

You can remove this two symbols in cms -> pages -> edit celebrity home page.
It was removed in v1.12 of our theme. You need to update app/code/local/Olegnax/Celebritysettings/etc/celebrity.xml
Regarding ‘Latest Arrivals’ please, check documentation: Install Instructions -> Setup Latest Arrivals.

I’m not able to modify home-page slideshow items. I can display the list of them but when i’m trying to reach a form (edit or add), all i’m getting is a blank white page without any content (the admin menu bar is still visible). Any ideas?
My magento version is 1.6.2.0 but it was the same in 1.7.0.0

You need to turn on errors to see the problem. Most common problem in this case is the PHP memory limit Please check it. Magento should have at least 256M

I tried changing out the 3 featured photos on the home page by going to CMS > Pages > Celebrity Home Page. The photo added fine, but now the footer and header are off. I thought I made the changes with WYSIWYG editor off, but it must have been on. Do you have the original default html on the Celebrity Home Page Template? This theme designed very badly, doesnt work with popular extensions like pre-select swaches and it’s really hard to customize as there is no float used in theme.

I spent days to fix this. no lock still. unless I redesign the whole views.phtml
any idea how to fix that?
also in products with larger short description, there is overlap (I don’t know how to fix this as they have no float, they are purely rely on margin. and that is not really working well)

As i wrote to you – Celebrity (and any other theme) isn’t compatible with all third-party extensions by default. Put a little effort into it – and it would be done. Here is an example of pre-select swaches using with ‘Celebrity’ – http://bit.ly/JjP3Bd
I can suggest you to roll back to theme files and do changes step by step.

They haven’t moved things around. this theme is good if you dont decide to move add to wishlist links to the left.
it’s not a good idea to use margin for putting main content to the left. why didn’t u use float?

We do use floats. Wishlist link is a part of ‘product-shop’ block which has ‘float:right’ style.
