Setting up the blog portion for http://www.kristinkillion.com and posts show up under the “Blog”, but when you click continue reading or even try to preview the post from the backend it leads to a 404 error….

Any ideas? I am using the “permalink editor” plug-in to create better permalinks…..not sure if that should effect this though.

Thanks for purchasing!

Did you try deactivating the plugin to see if that fixes it?

Ya I tried deactivating and no it didn’t change anything. sorry for not hitting “reply”

All links are generated using standard WordPress functions, so unfortunately this isn’t a theme-related issue, but a WordPress issue you’re experiencing. Have you checked out the WordPress support forums?

Hope you understand.

fixed by using postname instead of pagename .

Can we add content to the “Main” page, the page in which the slider is show by default.

I would like to have content/text shown below the slider, is this possible? If you can you please advise how this can be done?

Best!

Hi – I am not sure what happened, but my navigation bar is gone (ie home, contact etc) any suggestions?

http://www.hwsevents.com/

theMOLITOR

Were you making changes or editing something when it happened?

Did you check the menu page to see if it’s still there?

FYI , you need to sign in with the account you used to purchase the theme. I don’t see a “purchased” banner.

I don’t know the account in which it was purchased with. Someone else did the website for me. I was in the header.php section trying to hide the home tab. And yes when I click on the Menu tab my page are still listed.

Unfortunately, since the theme no longer has the default code for me to troubleshoot, you’ll have to retrace your edits to find the cause of the error.

Hi again…So I repurchased the theme. I am having a little problem…would you mind looking into it? I can’t even log into the back end of my website to fix it. I am getting this message

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ‘{’ in /home3/hwsevent/public_html/wp-content/themes/wpchemeleon/functions.php on line 5

thank you

Judging from the error, it looks like you forgot to open/close some PHP .

You are no help!

Sorry, I can’t really troubleshoot code that isn’t mine.

Looks like everything is working now. Did you replace the files with the default theme?

Hello. Nice! Is it possible to have music on the home page with simple ON/OFF or Play/pause Button ? I’m looking for a wordpress like yours but with music on the homepage. Thank You Good Bye

theMOLITOR

A music player isn’t included with the theme, so you would have to use a plugin to play music.

Here is my site: http://saltwaterhitman.com ? I want to add more than 5 slides. is there a setting for this

theMOLITOR

Thanks for purchasing!

Open up “index.php” and at the end of line 5 change “showposts=5” to something like “showposts=6” if you want to have 6 posts.

Hi,

Is there a fix for the slider to display properly in Firefox? Not working properly for me, basically it loads the next image below it, (part of it hidden) and just keeps loading below so there’s a string of images.

Thanks in advance!

theMOLITOR

Thanks for purchasing!

This sounds odd. Would it be possible for you to email me a link to your site so I can check it out? You can use the form on my profile page.

Will do right away!

theMOLITOR

I see you haven’t yet created a menu. Try creating a menu on the “menus” page (details in the help file). Let me know if that fixes it.

Also, I see some additional scripts showing up in the source code. If you have plugins installed, try deactivating them one-by-one to see if one is causing a problem.

Default-user

Actually I did create a menu (and it’s still there just with no pages underneath it) but removed the pages and categories under it for now as the site is not ready to go live. So I don’t think that’s it.

I will try deactivating the plugins. Is there anything else that could be it?

theMOLITOR

Gotcha. Did you try deactivating plugins to see if that is the issue?

Default-user

Yes, just did and still no luck…

theMOLITOR

Are you using a font service? It appears parts of the CSS aren’t being loaded and it’s possible a font service could be blocking this. When I enter your domain in the CSS validator, I’m seeing a TON of font-related errors.

Default-user

I have used @font-face script but I am hosting the fonts on my site so no service. I’ll try removing it and see what happens.

Default-user
NajahD Purchased

Removed the font-face coding and the error is still there.

theMOLITOR

Looking closer at the CSS , I see you made some font changes to the “code” declaration and made some errors in the process. Try fixing that…

Thanks, I’ll take a closer look and if all else fails re-install.

Would love to purchase this theme but would need to be able to post some text on the front home page – below the image slider is fine. I understand this was a previous request from an earlier comment. Is this easy to implement or is a customization request required?

theMOLITOR

Thanks for your interest!

It depends on the type of text you need. Do you just need a little sentence or a full paragraph of text?

pxmanager

Essentially, an SEO friendly summary paragraph for the front page. I was thinking of manually adding a new div after the slider div but doing it that way the client would be unable to update themselves within the WP-admin. Ideally, the text box would tap into either a post category or page id so the client could update themselves.

Since this is a more involved customization, please fill out this form to receive a quote: http://www.themolitor.com/customization-quote-request/

In the homepage “Quote Line 1 Text” I use an apostrophe in the word WORLD ’S

For some reason it shows up on the home page as WORLD \’S

Any idea why? Thanks SARAH

p.s. love the theme. :)

Hi there,

I don’t see that you purchased this theme (you don’t have a “purchased” banner). Please login with the account you used to purchase in order to receive support :-)

I “purchased” it via http://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/chameleon/ should I ask for assistance over there?

Hello – really great theme this and perfect for what i need – just one question: on mobile browsers (iphone safari for example) the drag able widget bar cuts right across centre screen when rotated to wide view – is there any way to prevent this? Thanks

theMOLITOR

Thanks for purchasing!

I appreciate the feedback! Unfortunately mobile Safari doesn’t support fixed positioned content, so this is normal behavior.

Hey there,

This is a great theme, laid out exactly as I want. There is just one thing…

I would personally prefer a static footer, so is there a way to turn off the sliding footer, or use a blend of the footer from your University theme with this theme?

Cheers, Nick.

theMOLITOR

This isn’t a theme option, but I can provide instruction on how to “turn it off”.

I haven’t uploaded the theme yet to my site so the answer may actually be on the back end but, before I upload it, I wanted to find out the recommended photo size (px dimensions, of course) for the header slider on the home page.

Thanks in advance for your response. I am VERY impressed with your work and speedy responses.

theMOLITOR

Thanks!

Images for the slider are 700×330 :-)

Hi,

Nice thème ! But I can’t use a personal menu from wordpress admin panel is it normal ?

And i saw your comment about how to keep the footer opened but I don’t understand very well, can you help please ?

thank you

fred

theMOLITOR

Thanks for purchasing!

Navigate to “Appearance” > “Menus” and create a new menu with the name “Main” <- THIS IS IMPORTANT !!!

Make sure to click “Save Menu” when you’re done.

Let me know if that helps…

Default-user

It works ! Thank you.

Any idea for the footer issue ?

theMOLITOR

Sorry, which comment are you referring to?

  • Bought between 10 and 49 items

I would like the footer to stay opened. I saw you answer this issue into one of the first comments but I don’t understand how to do this.

Thank you

theMOLITOR

I don’t recall providing instruction for this since leaving the footer open would render the rest of the content inaccessible…

Looking at my response in previous comments, I posted “I suppose it’s possible, but it’s not recommended ;-)”

Default-user

Ok understand now :)

Thank you again, nice work !

Congrats, that’a a very nice theme.

I’m working with it at : http://www.dr-phillips-wellness.com.

I have an issue :

When the drop down menu appears under “Our services”, it makes all the page move a little, trembling.

Do you have an idea ?

(sorry for my English, i’m French).

Sylvain

theMOLITOR

That’s because it’s so long that the scroll bar for the browser is appearing and disappearing. I recommend using sub menus or reducing the number of words for certain menu items.

Great theme! I read this advice (http://markmaunder.com/2011/08/01/zero-day-vulnerability-in-many-wordpress-themes/) Do I have to change something in timthumb.php? Thanks for your support!

theMOLITOR

Thanks for purchasing!

The TimThumb script is located inside the “scripts” folder of the theme. Try replacing that and let me know if you have any trouble.
