Christina - Responsive WordPress Theme

This theme is not compatible with IE8 like it says in the description.

I sent you a PM but I am not sure if you got it.

I have a couple of questions regarding the Christina theme. Below is the link to the site that I have the theme installed on.

1- I am having problems with changing the white background color threw the word press control panel for some reason the only way I can change it is in the CSS .

2- When I have a webpage that isn’t completely full the content the footer doesn’t stay at the bottom of the page so it will show up in the middle of the page if there isn’t enough content, is there any way to fix this?
