Hallo,

I just bought your theme and it’s great. When I install the theme, which folder do I have upload on the server. “Ciola” or “Ciola-child” or Both?

And can I rename the name of the root folder?

Thx

Best wishes

Hey Dalee83,

Thanks very much for the kind words and for choosing Ciola :)

If you plan on changing the code of the theme, you should install both and use the child-theme, this way you can add custom code to the child-theme folder and if you ever update the main theme in the future, your custom code will not be lost. If you do use the child-theme, you can’t rename the folder names as that is how the child-theme knows what folder is the main theme to load files from.

Hope this helps!

Hey Dalee83,

That is part of the translation files, did you create your translation files?

Hello Cubell I use Ciola that suits me perfectly! I want to allow several people to write articles by email with the plugin “Postie”. It works well … but the articles are written in the format by default. I will wish that they appear by default in the format “Featured On Homepage / Category” + “Full-Width Post” + Featured Image Settings = “Full-Width”! Best Regards Zuggy

I tried to change the items with Custom CSS, but without satisfactory results. Would you have a solution for me to force this writing?

Cubell

Hi Zuggy,

Thanks again for using Ciola :)

I’m afraid that that is actually quite tricky! Because your plugin doesn’t know about the theme options, and the only real way is for you to edit the posts after being published via mobile to change the settings. I wish there were an easier way!

Hi there, it’s me again! I was just wondering if there is a possibility to change the following: Can I change the settings so that the posts shown underneath the grid are not the same as in the grid but continue with the next post after the ones in the grid?

Thanks!

Hi Deli :)

Unfortunately that isn’t an option in Ciola. That would definitely require extensive changes to the theme code to work that way!

What a shame! It’s a bit annoying to have the same content on the page twice, so please let me know if you ever consider making that change. ;)

Best, Deli

I do know what you mean, but th if you give each module a different category to show, that should avoid all duplicates. Are your posts assigned to multiple categories? Is that why you see duplicates?

Hi,

Great theme! I bought it and i have a couple of questions. Is there any way to make the header transparent and not white as part of the rest of the page? Is there a support forum for codes and modifications?

Thanks,

Pedro

Hey Pedro,

Thanks for the kind words and for choosing Ciola :)

Try this, copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:

#cb-inner-header { background: transparent!important; }

I hope this helps!

It didn’t work :/

I have another question, sorry to bother again, but could you tell me the steps to translate the theme? I’ve just modified the default.po file, but i’m not sure where to put the .po and .mo files. Which folder do I copy them?

Cubell

Hey again,

If you can share your URL I can take a look and see what is happening to the header background.

Sure thing, simply put your translated files into ciola/library/translation the theme will automatically load the relevant language files.

Just make sure your WordPress config file (located in the root of your website “yoursite/wp-config.php”) has the following line set to your locale: “define (‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’);” with instead of es_ES, it has your language locale in, so that your site knows it is meant to be that language.

Hope this helps.
