Yes, there is a sidebar position in the left side (under the main menu) as you can see in the demo blog page.

Just bought this theme and am using it, so far I really like it.
One question, though- the homepage slider is stretching out all of the photos. How do I prevent it from doing that? (Should I crop the pictures to specific dimensions first?)

Please check this theme folder permission -> wp-content/themes/classic-theme/ , please try to set to 777 or 755. And see also the files permission under this folder and set to 777 or 644. Or see the default theme files and folder permission and make this theme permissiona similar with the default theme permission.

No, this is not a stupid question…. its my fault… when I update the help file yesterday, I was copy the instruction #8 to from my other theme help file an forgot to remove the “exclude from main menu” section. Please ignore this instruction…. I will update the help file again tomorrow.
Please also ignore the “Navigation Settings” in the theme option, and see the instruction #5 for main menu settings.

One question: Is it possible to show more than one image per (blog post)/category shown in the template portfolio. Like with a specific shortcode per image.
Now I only see one picture from the specific blogpost in the specific category.

In the blog post, you can show more than one image, just put the image in the post use the default wordpress function.

No, we can disable the horizontal text panel in this theme, but you can change the slideshow with another jquery cycle if you want. thanks
I have a lot of white space under the last black area in the footer. How can I fix this?
Not a bad theme. A bit confusing at first and some SERIOUS typos and grammar problems within the read-me file that make it a bit difficult, if not impossible, and more guess and check then I’d like, but once you get it working it looks pretty dang awesome.
Real quick – there are no instructions whatsoever in the read me on how to do the accordion menu?
When you add page as menu, just add child pages then it will be as accordion sub menu. I will update the help file. thanks
What is the best lightbox-like WP plugin recommended/tested within this theme? I use WP 2 .9.2. Thanks for any hints.
I encountered a serious issue while creating menu items with custom fields. I successfully added a first item and it displays/works. But each item on the home page that points to href=”#” that is supposed to open the accordion menu is not working – child pages does not show up at all when I click those item. BUT they work if I click any other non-accordion item and go to that page and try to open any accordion item from there. What can I do???
One note on the accordion menu functionality:
Once the accordion menu has been clicked/opened and you do to its child page, IMHO the accordion menu item (parent) should remain opened. Otherwise you get lost with navigation whose child page it is.
