Classic Theme - Simple Clean Minimalist WordPress

Wondering if these theme supports the use of an image as the header.

We’ve been really impressed with the cleanness of the Classic Theme—both in terms of its design and functionality. The documentation is clearer than many of the other themes we’ve used, so we definitely appreciate that.

We have encountered one question we haven’t been able to resolve ourselves: Is there a way to suppress the sidebar and widgets on one specific Page? We have a Page for a sitemap and want to include the standard header/footer while filling the Page with a full-sized sitemap image. We’re using the Default Template. In other themes we’ve used, there has been a Full-Width Page Template we could select, but there doesn’t appear to be an equivalent template in this theme. We can’t tweak the Default Template because we don’t want to affect the other Pages.

Past the black footer is this big “white” space. I would like this to be black…where in the CSS would I do this?

Great template, thanks very much! Installation was a breeze

Quick question – in your live demo you have (after posts) “About Demo User” underneath a solid black line, with quick info and a line to “View all posts by Demo User—>”. How do I turn this on?

I cannot add a description to the menu item as it doesnt seem to be supported, there is simply no space or option to do this. Any ideas? I have tried to write you emails but you have not responded – please get back to me as this is getting frustrating!

Hi, Love this template but I have one question: I’m trying to assign categories to blog page with “category-include custom field” (as explained in the documentation: New Page – Blog Template – Custom field with slug) but everytime I visit the blog page I get the posts from all categories, not just the categories selected.

Is this normal? Maybe should I use a plugin to do this?

posted this question a week ago to http://themeforest.net/user/templatesquare and still no answer. Maybe someone can help. I want the height of the slider to be 400 px instead of 300. I’ve resized the image to that height, and made changes to style.css and slider.php. The image is still being cropped at top and left, positioned outside of the box.

I just purchased this theme and I’m eager to get started. How do I upload this them (the zip file?) to my host-server? Are there instructions in the zip file? I did not unzip it on my computer yet.

Hi ! How I can remove the date in posts of my blog? I closed the <! – ... -> lines from 70 to 84 in the file single.php, but nothing happened.

I purchased your theme, but cannot install it properly:

1) Using the zip-upload function in the WP admin area, the installation does not work saying that the style sheet “style.css” was missing.

2) Using FTP , I don’t know where to put the folders “Documentation”, “License” and “psd”. At least, in this case it shows up, but with wrong paddings in the vertical navigation and without slider.

Could you please help me?
