Classica: Minimalistic WordPress Portfolio Theme

Hi again,

Following my message above I now seem to have solved my problem. I opened up the Zip file and copied the Classica file from it which I then zipped up again and re uploaded and it seems to have worked fine. Please can you let me know if this approach was ok and that I won’t encounter any problems with having done it this way? Thanks very much.

Hi there, can i ask you a few questions.

Firstly i love your stuff fella and i really like this theme. Im a designer so the look and feel will be the easy part for me to change but ive never used a wordpress theme before so its going to be a new experience for me.

Some of the other themes on here have a little tab on the left of the preview and when you click it you get to see screen grabs on the theme editor of it. These help to make it look very easy to change the content and the logo logo etc. Can you please tell me if this is common place for all themes and does your theme have this way of updating the content etc. I understand to radically change thing i may need some deeper html knowledge but its the theme editor which i would be using most.

One thing I’d like to ask, on this theme, is there a class or shortcode I can use for images outside of the gallery to give them the lightbox effect that gallery items have? I haven’t delved too deep in trying to find a solution. It does seem like the theme is not compatible with shadowbox .

Hi ! Is there a way to make the slider (on the homepage) “transable”. I want a slider for french and another one for english. Is it possible?

hi, really nice theme. sorry, but i can’t figure out how to reorder the portfolios. i tried to hack it by changing the dates of the portfolios so that the thumbnails would display in the order i want them to on the portfolio page, but that’s not working either. somewhere is there an option to order the portfolios so that the 210px x 160px thumbnails will display in the order that you prefer on the portfolio page? thanks.

Hello there! I’m very interesting in this template, but I have a question about portfplio. I intend to publish one item after another to portfolio. How many items can I publish to portfolio? For example, can I setup that 9item are published on 1 page? sorry for I am not good at writing English.

I am having a hard time getting my images to show up in my slider. I followed the PDF that came with downloading this theme. I’ve created filler images that are the appropriate size and have checked the box to enable slider on homepage. Nothing is showing up. Any help with this would be super!

I’m a beginner with wp, but your theme is so clear in the code and so well organized that helps a lot to get the result I want!

Just one question: is it possible to create more then one portfolio page and not to have them linked to each other? My website is for a little store and I would like to have a different portfolio for every different department. And then each department will have different categories. That’s why I need more than one portfolio page.

Love this theme! Its really close to what I was looking for. There a few points that could be improved in my opinion, (small ones) and… if you could make this one Responsive…. you’d have invented the Death Star of wordpress themes
