Quick question:
I would like to add simple text content to the static homepage but it is not drawing it in from the “Home” page content area. Am I missing something? Can I add text to the homepage?

Hi, I’ve looked and looked at all the themes on this site, and this one stands out most. However, before I purchase this theme, I just have a quick question: - is it possible to disable lightbox view? - can the text “? Back to the Portfolio” be changed to other texts?

Hi, yes you can disable the lightbox, all thumbs will then link through to the dedicated project pages. You can change the line of text by editing the template file – simple change.

Really nice theme! I’m a photographer and interested in buying the theme to show some of my work. I like the minimal design a lot. Although I have some questions before buying the theme.
1. Is the possible to change the background color of the light box from black into white? Is that difficult?
2. Is it also possible to remove the “Recent project” and “Recent published” from the homepage? If it’s possible I will buy the team. I want my homesite to look as clean as possible, only using the images on the first page.
3. Is it possible to change the size of the images on the first page, they have a lot more width than hight now and I need to crop my images a lot to be able to fit. Is is possible to make it more on the hight?
(sorry for my english, it’s not my first language, hope you understand).

1. It’s certainly possible but you would need to edit the theme’s CSS in order to do so.
2. You can remove both these sections from the theme options.
3. Again it’s possible, but you would need to edit the theme’s code to do so. We can point you in the right direction but it would be a mod you would have to make.

Classica is working great for me! But I need to make one tweak. The address in the browser says ”/portfolio/” when you’re on one of the detail pages/posts. I’d rather it said something else, since this isn’t a portfolio site. http://robotcha-co.com/portfolio/astrobot/ Where do I change that?

Hi Orman Great template, i will definitely buy it if i can edit it afterwards. Thus i have one question. If i tell you that i don’t have webDeveloping experience at all, but i have a nice video training for WordPress and i watch that, will i be able to edit the webSite and if yes, will i need at all web programming experience like CSS or PHP ?

Hi, if you want to edit the site then you will need experience with CSS and/or PHP /HTML. The theme is editable in pretty much the same way any standard site is.

Is it possible to show more than three portfolio items on the front page? I was hoping to find a theme with both the slider, and a sortable area of portfolio items, but if yours would allow me to put more “rows” of three in, perhaps from different categories, it might get me where I need to go…
Hi, you can choose how many to show from the theme options. The latest posts will be show by default, should you want to change that, you would need to modify the theme files.

Hey Matt, you do have an option to embed plain HTML into the portfolio projects – primarily used for self hosted video. If you use the appropriate HTML to embed flash, then the portfolio will show it.
Orman, this is a really great theme, as are many of your others. Thanks for putting things like this together. I specialize in print design, so web development is foreign territory for me and I admire your talent. I purchased this theme and I’m in the process of building a great site to showcase my portfolio and build a freelance business. Hi, you would need to look to plugins to add FB functionality. The should be a whole host of FB plugins in the plugin directory.
Couple of questions about this theme. Can this be set up like your Garnish theme w/ the “portfolio” as the main page? Not only that, but w/ the filter control on top so the thumbs go the full width of the theme vs control taking a column?

I’m having an issue where the blog posts are permalinking to my contact page. I’ve set the slug as edsitable, and the admin won’t allow me even to edit it. I have another classica install from another client that is not doing this. Any idea if this is a bug? Do I need to reinstall?

Hi. I love the look of your theme. I am a sucker for minimalistic deign Just a few questions before I purcahse it.
1. do you offer quick support..because I am a wp-noob 2. is it possible to switsch recent work and recent posts..so that the recent posts are on top and show up in the first colum on the hopmepage and the portfolion on the second. its more important to me 3. is it possible to have video boxes instead of the picturs on the preview of the blog posts on the homepage? 4. can I add a ribbon (e.g the one that you offered as a freebie) on the homepage at the top with a link to the contact form
i am a freelance copywriter. so my portfolio is not image based. i would rather hightlight my advice videos. so i was wondering if i can do that on th home page of your themes

2. It’s not an option as such but is possible with some modifications. You would need to rearrange the homepage HTML .
3. Not without modification no.
4. If you modify the HTML then yes.
a quick addition to that…on the classica homepage where you have tge little perview pictures of portfolio and blog…can i put videos there?
but not like in your example on the homepage – Sky High (Vimeo) – but a preview where you can actally click the button and play it
and is it possible to create a page where you have little video windows from vimeo all next to each other, little little tiles?

No it’s not possible to include videos on the homepage without modification. In short, the theme comes as per the demo, if you wanted to add anything to it, then it’s all possible, but you would need to work with a developer to achieve it.

I’ve just purchased the theme and I’m trying to install it. I’m doing it via the Install Theme option in WordPress and uploading it as a Zip file however I’m getting an error message saying;
‘The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.’
I tried downloading and uploading it again and I had the same problem. Please could you help me out with this. Thanks.
