I have brought your theme and enjoying using it so far – thank you!

I do however have a problem when using the portfolio option. I cannot seem to get the filter to work for a portfolio-category that contains a sharp key (#). I have not tried it with other non alpha numeric keys.

Is it possible you could provide a fix?

Hi,

This may be an isotope problem. I’ll look into this more and see if it can be done.

Hello! I love this theme, Thankyou! Im only having one little problem, All the text i put in for the slide doesn’t show up on the home page slider.

Thanks!

Hi, it’s the amount of H1 text in one of the titles. The titles need to be a little shorter with more of the text in the body of the post. Or if you need a lot of text in the title you can open csstyles.css and make the title font size a little smaller.

#header .slider .text h1 {
    color: #FEFCFC;
    font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size: 52px;
    font-weight: bold;
    line-height: 56px;
}

Around line 95 change the font size to about 42px or smaller.

Hi,

There is also a custom cs search widget if you want the better search box ;)

Hello, I want to buy this theme. I wonder if it is possible to integrate a plugin via an iframe pop up in the portfolio, and if this pop up window is customizable via css / php?

Thank you.

PixelGrapes

Hi,

Yes, the overlay popup can be customized via php/css. It is just a hidden div where you could put anything you need. If I understand the question correctly. – Cheers

Thank you for your prompt response. In fact, I would insert the button “order” (paypal) in each item via an iframe. That is to say, click on the photo, the pop up window opens and on the right side of a visual product description below and the iframe in which there is a button control with drop-down list. Possibly, it is possible to code it directly in the article by wordpress, which will open in the pop up?

Thank you for your reply. (sorry, it’s an English google)

PixelGrapes

Yes. The post content area is what shows up in the popup text. So you could use a plugin which allows you to embed iframes in your post. There are lots. – Cheers

Hi again, wondered if you had a chance to look into the isotope issue yet?

I have also noticed a few other features after testing the preview theme out in other browsers and hoped you might be able to address these as well.

1. In firefox (tested in version 9-12) the text font in the cloud on the main page and in the testimonial areas seems to be a sort of Sans Comic rather than the “Nothing you could do”.

2. In internet explorer 9 the footer seems broken. In the far left the phone, fax and email icons are cut in half.

3. On the ipad/iphone some of the pages (contact, tour) do not fit the screen 100% unlike the main page and portfolio pages.

PixelGrapes

Hi,

I was just testing the site on browserstack and it seems okay in all versions of firefox. The font is a google font import. Can you email me a link to your site so I can take a look? You’re right about #2 and #3. I’ll try and get an update submitted to themeforest tomorrow to address those.

For isotope – it looks like the # character messes up the class sort selectors. Isotope thinks they are ids. If you really need to use the # character, email me and we can try to work out a custom solution. – Thanks

Full width, blog, contact, default page, what page type used to make a homepage? In addition, I followed exactly the docuentation, impossible to bring up the slider that I created! thank you for your return

PixelGrapes

Make sure under wordpress settings / reading you do not have a static page set to the homepage. If you email me your site and login, I will set it up. – Cheers

It’s good, thank you very much.

My theme is displaying fine in chrome…but the colors and footer are all messed up in IE… Not sure why.. http://www.healthyinitiative.org/newshea/

PixelGrapes

Hi, what version of IE?

Hi again,

Any update on the fixes? I believe ChristopherFoltzCompany is experiencing one of the same problems I am having. This theme although advertised as such is not ie 9 or 8 compatible at the moment. Plus with some of the pages not fitting to screen with the ipad and iphone is getting quite annoying.

I solved the problem I was experiencing with google fonts when viewing your preview site in firefox (in earlier post) by using fontface and storing the font on the server instead.

PixelGrapes

Hi, it was fixed. You can see in the demo version now. The updated version is available for download.

I cannot get the tour functions to work, as per the documentation created a page, set it as tour template, put the CS tour widget in widget box, created 4 tour pages, yet only two latest show up on the tour page!

I want to have 8-10 tours items to show?

Have I missed something or is there a bug?

PixelGrapes

Hi,

Sounds like you’ve set it up right. Can you email me a link to my profile and I’ll take a look. -Thanks

Got it – Thanks for the quick reply:)

Is it possible to have the homepage start with the slider expanded? I don’t want to to drop down like it is. Starting expanded would be nice.

Also I’m having a problem with the blog only displaying 3 items, then the next page button. I have Wordpress set to 10 but my blog shows 3 posts then next page. It also shows next page even if there are two items.

Thanks for the help.

PixelGrapes

Hi,

You can remove the slide-down effect but removing the following from header.php
</script>
<script type='text/javascript'>
$(document).ready(function() {
     $(".slider").hide();
     $(".slider").slideUp(1).delay(1400).slideDown('slow');
});
</script>
The blog is set to show 3 posts per page. You can change it by editing the number in the following line of blog.php
 'posts_per_page'=>3,

I’ll include an option to edit the number in admin in the next theme update. – cheers

Hello

I removed:

<script type='text/javascript'> $(document).ready(function() { $(".slider").hide(); $(".slider").slideUp(1).delay(1400).slideDown('slow'); }); </script>

And now the slider doesn’t appear.

PixelGrapes

Are you sure you didn’t remove a few extra characters? Send me a link.

Default-user

Hello,

I set the delay to 1 which makes makes the drop down not noticeable.

Thanks for the help and awesome theme..

Eggbit -

Love the theme. Great work. One question for you, and I apologize if you’ve answered it, I haven’t read all of the comments yet.

- Is there anyway to make a new item added to the SLIDER section show up as the LAST slider, instead of the first? I have the sliders setup as a standard flow that we want, but anytime I add a new slider item, it always becomes the first thing to display.

Thanks.

PixelGrapes

They are displayed according to the date/time of the slider posts. So, you can just edit the dates. – cheers

Hi I need to show 4 photos (and descriptions) and not 3 in the home page in the section “featured posts”. It’s easy to adjust the css stilesheet but have I to make other changes in ortder to show 4 posts and not 3? Thanks so much

PixelGrapes
Hi. As well as the css changes you need to edit the following line in home.php (around line 67)
<?php query_posts( array ( 'category_name' => $featured, 'posts_per_page' => -3 ) ); ?>

Just change the number of posts_per_page to 4

Cheers

hi, Love this theme and i have e One question for you I want to buy this but i need to konw if i can change the language with the .po files ?

PixelGrapes

Hi. Just about all the text on the site is editable. But it is not setup with .po files. I will look at adding that in an update. – Cheers

Hi, I purchased this theme through another account so I hope you can answer this – it’s only a formatting question anyway :)

How do you apply the border/shadow style to aligned images like in your demo? If I just use the Add Media icon in the text editor and align it there is no formatting. Can you help? Thanks

Hi, I have looked through the comments on here and the documentation that came with the theme but cannot find any information on how to limit the posts on the blog page to a particular category. I want my blog page to show only one category of psost, how can I do that please?

Regards

PixelGrapes

Hi. That requires an edit in the file blog.php

Look for the following around line 23:
 <?php
    $paged = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : 1;
    $the_query = query_posts(
        array(
            'posts_per_page'=>3,
            'orderby'=>'date',
        'paged'=>$paged
    )
    );
    ?>
Replace with this:
 <?php
    $paged = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : 1;
    $the_query = query_posts(
        array(
             'posts_per_page'=>3,
            'orderby'=>'date',
        'paged'=>$paged,
        'category_name'=>'your-category'
    )
    );

?>

Replace – your-category – with the name of the category you want to show.
