SwiftIdeas

Yes, should work without any issues – but if you do we’ll be happy to help.

Can u have a fullscreen slideshow on opening page? How about portfolio full-screen (wide/height) with thumbnail strip?

SwiftIdeas

Hi there!

Not currently, but you could add the rev slider plugin for example (and then create a page template that’s full width based on the single-portfolio template).

You can have a full-width portfolio, but there isn’t support for a thumbnail strip.

Hi,

On the contact page, is it possible to swap over the contact form to the right and bring the contact details copy to the left?

Please advise.

Thanks, ben

Hey Ed,

I’ve been playing around with this but can’t seem to switch these two around properly. I know the parts of the code that need tweaking but can’t get it right. Please help.

Thanks, Ben

Hi, Love the theme so far, seems though as if highlighted text is not working in all browsers. Tried it in IE, FF and Chrome, but only chrome displays it correctly.

Is there a fix?

Thanks, Michel

SwiftIdeas

Please could you log a support ticket? I can provide a fix.

Thanks,

Thanks for the fast fix! Absolutely five-star worthy!

You’re welcome! :)

before buying i have a question, is possible add content like a calendar or a video in the portfolio grid? I would like to use as a main page.

SwiftIdeas

Not in the main grid itself, but you can have video in the item detail. How would you use a calendar in the grid?

- Ed

i would like to put a little calendar in the bottom left grid, imagine a little calendar :)

SwiftIdeas

Unfortunately this isn’t possible by standard, would require custom coding.

Hi, something bizarre is happening on the blog page: http://themes.swiftpsd.com/clique/blog/

The twitter/status posts are creating a giant vertical space underneath, it corrects itself when you resize the browser window.

Will open a ticket and upload a screenshot.

SwiftIdeas

Try the following css (add to the custom css box within theme options):

.blog-item .twitter-tweet-rendered {
height: auto;
}

Hope that helps.

Hi, I’d also like to have a fullscreen slideshow on opening page. I understand this can be doable, but I’m not sure how to “create a page template that’s full width based on the single-portfolio template”. How do you exactly create a page template? Sorry, I’m fairly new to Wordpress. Thanks so much.

Niki

SwiftIdeas

Hi Niki,

It wouldn’t be possible without a standard level of PHP/HTML knowledge unfortunately. We may look at adding it in the future although we currently have no plans for it.

I can’t seem to find the setting that allows you to show your blog like the portfolio looks.

Please help.

Thanks

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

Make sure you don’t have the posts page set in Settings > Reading, as that will make it into an archive style page. The blog doesn’t have the ability to look like the portfolio by the way, only like the blog on our demo.

Yep that’s what I was after, thanks so much.

Hi there,

Nice theme, though I beginning to have second thoughts… Perhaps you could advise on some of the gripes I have (please see here for reference):

1. Is it possible to have my first page mosaic be a randomised subset of this picture set?

2. When logged-in the Wordpress top bar obstructs half of the menu, while underneath there’s a free, background-coloured, space that was intended for the theme top bar to slide down to, to make place for wordpress bar. Apparently no luck…

3. When uploading the logo it gets resized even if I make sure for it to have the exact same dimensions as the default one. Don’t like it… What should I do to get the actual size logo?

4. Formatting headers (like h4) doesn’t really like my language diacritical chars. For some reason they’re bolder than the rest. Marginally, but I can see that.

5. For my main gallery presentation, the vertical pics are more than twice the size of horizontal ones, while in reality they were uploaded the same and should stay this way. This is totally wrong, as they’re probably not my greatest work, still want to show them but not to overwhelm the whole of the site. Is there a way (apart from cropping, what you did in your demo template, I see) to limit the display size of the vertical pics so they’re more or less the same size like horizontal ones? This is major really.

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask – if you have a support system, feel free to redirect me.

Thanks!

PS. The most important thing for me is the last one – to balance the sizes, especially when clicking on the image to display the flow. Possible to change the max size for the flow images, so they can’t exeed 800 px any direction?

Hi there,

Probably best if you log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com so we can keep track of any issues, and you can send me a login so that I can investigate anything that shouldn’t be happening (such as 5).

Hi Ed,

Thanks for quick response. Will do this next week, as I’m off for a quick break till Monday.

SwiftIdeas

No worries, enjoy! :)

- Ed

When I upload pictures into the portfolio, the resolution isnĀ“t the same anymore. The theme crops it automatically down into low-res pictures. Is there any possibility to prevent that? Thx for quick help.

SwiftIdeas

Log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com and we’ll take a look and sort something out for you :)

Hi! For some reason the blog is not going to grid mode please help. Even tho I have no sidebar selected. http://tristatefilms.com/blog/

SwiftIdeas

Where it says Posts Page, with the dropdown – that’s what I’m referring to. Deselect that page and it will show the grid layout on your page.

Hi there,

You would have to add these manually, I’m sorry – not worked with Cryllic fonts before!

Please can you log a support ticket at http://support.swiftpsd.com for the accordion issue, I have a fix.

where can i find the loader image when loading the portfolio items. I can’t seem to track it down to change the colors?

Thank

SwiftIdeas

It uses spin.js, and your accent color. You can change it using:

#global-loading { color: #FFF!important; }

Hope that helps!

Hello,

Where can I change the number of portfolio entries before you’re asked to load more please? Currently it’s set to 12 but I would like more to load by default.

Thanks, Ben

SwiftIdeas

Hi Ben,

If you edit the page, you can set this number in the meta options below the content editor.

Hope that helps!

Great thanks!

Hi Ed, Your theme looks great! Quick question, is there any way to use Wordpress native “create gallery” feature instead of the Gallery meta for a photo gallery? I don’t see myself re-uploading all my photos.. Thanks!

SwiftIdeas

Thanks for the kind words :)

Unfortunately not as standard, it would require quite a few modifications.

- Ed

how do i get the twitter posts in the blog? What option is that, like you have in the demo?

SwiftIdeas

What you want to do is select the “Status” post format, and then copy a link to the tweet and paste that link in the body of the post. Make sure that it’s not a clickable link, and just the URL. Then WordPress will automatically embed it for you.

Hope that helps.

- Ed

mbianchi27

ok, great thanks so much

Hi Ed,

Your theme is really outstanding… I can’t wait to present the finished product to my clients!

A quick question: is it (currently) possible to limit the size of the Portfolio Detail images to a fixed size (still remaining right justified)? I am using some old assets that don’t scale past 800×600…

Thanks in advance, Dave

SwiftIdeas

Glad you’re enjoying it! :)

The easiest way would be to reduce the width percentage of the media column, and add padding to the left, like so:

article.type-portfolio.standard-portfolio .media-wrap {
width: 35%;
padding-left: 15%;
}

You’d then have to sort out some responsive styles to remove the padding when down at iPad/iPhone size. Hope that helps.

Hi!

Why do you say ‘AJAX’ template ?

The demo is not ajax-driven.

Am i missing something or does this template effectively not ajax driven ?

Thanks

SwiftIdeas

Hi there,

The portfolio item loading is AJAX driven. So is the loading of more items in both Portfolio & Blog posts.

Hope that helps.

Hi! I love your theme, but before buy it I have some questions. I test Live View by using Ipad and seeing the project page in Portfolio. It looks nice when we carry it in normal (horizon) but when i rotate it to vertical, the image is resizing down and keep space for text (description) to fix to the screen.

I wonder, if you can do something with it – I think if the image is fix to screen and move the text (description) down under the image would be great. can you do that? i saw many templates did it but i prefer yours.

Regards

SwiftIdeas

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes that would be possible, I can provide a minor css change to sort that :)
