Hello! I dont really found the way to solve the problem when i define a portfolio item as a “Video&Gallery” I insert the URL of vimeo but it always says “Sorry, there was a problem loading the video”.
What can I do?
Make sure you aren’t using the https:// URL , it should be http://

Here’s another problem – I created a video portfolio item and video not working. It says “Sorry there was a problem loading the video” with “Vimeo” at the bottom (It’s a You tube video). I tried it with the video link under ‘thumbnail link options’, ‘main detail options’ and both – keeps having same issue. 1. I’m finding that the slider is cropping the tops off of my images, so that they fit a defined aspect ratio. Is there any way to stop this from happening? I’m quite happy with the sliders on the home page to crop.
2. Is the slideshow plugin that you have built into the theme portfolio slideshow? I have previously purchased portfolio slideshow pro, is there any way to use this instead of the slider, but keep the page looking as it would with the slider here: www.phildawsonphotography.com/?portfolio=paella
3. Can you please give me the code to remove the calendar icon and date from under the title on all pages/portfolios.
4. I can’t seem to get the ‘Stay Safe this Bonfire Night’ vimeo video to play either in the lightbox or its page. Do you have any idea why this might be?

1. What version are you using? This was resolved in v1.2 I think.
2. Yes it’s built in, it uses flexslider. You could, but you’d need to manually change the php.

Thanks for the quick reply.
1. I have version 1.3 installed. I only purchased the theme on Saturday. It seems to act quite strangely, cropping certain images, but with portrait orientated images, it seems to crop them less. Here is a slider which has cropped the images: http://www.phildawsonphotography.com/?portfolio=smoke and here you can see the actual aspect ration of the images: http://www.phildawsonphotography.com/smoke/
2. I’ll probably look into this at some point in the future as I know very little about editing code myself, so use a dodgy trial and error approach.

4. I am definitely using the full URL , but I only get a flickering loading icon (this happens with both the vimeo and youtube hosted videos I have tried it with). If I get around the lightbox by just going to the page, then I get a message saying ‘sorry there was a problem loading this video’. It’s strange as it works fine on your clique preview.
5. Is there any way to change the slider settings for the sliders on the portfolio home page? I would like to change the slide duration and transition duration, but changing the settings in Theme Options only seems to have the desired effect on sliders in other pages.
6. Where can I change the social media icon (those based in the footer) colour? I’d like to have the colour as #009999.

1. Ahh ok, I see the issue. The slider is designed to be fixed height, and the dimensions are set in functions.php (line 76)
4. What is the URL that you have entered?
5. You will need to manually edit the code in /js/functions.js.php (from line 267).
6. If you check the /images/social folder, you will find some dark alternatives to replace the light ones with.

1. Thanks, I’ve managed to stop it from cropping the image, but portrait images are still being upsized to fill 1000px wide, which makes them pretty huge. Is there any code you can give me which will set a max height and max width of 1000px? I’ve tried playing around with things, but cannot seem to make any difference to the image being resized to fill 1000px wide.

Another question: I want to add a couple of quotes as portfolio items to show up on the portfolio page ‘mosaic’ as you had on your demo. It doesn’t show up on the page – maybe since it’s just text and the only options for type of portfolio post are image, video, etc? I tried it in the body and as the title of the portfolio item.

The only thumbnail type you can have is image/slider/video. Your best bet would be to make it into an image and use that?

I just bought this template and when i install this theme at to my wordpress it says installation fail.Its say missing style.css can anybody help me.My wordpress is the latest one as i just bought a new hosting
Make sure that you unzip the main file that you download, you will then find the “clique.zip” file to upload.
