Common WordPress Installation Issues

Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

I just installed the theme, but after installation this error appears :

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /web/htdocs/ on line 11"

What should I do?

Response: This error is caused by a deprecated version of WordPress.

Function ‘wp_get_theme()’ was introduced in wordpress 3.4.0 so you need to have a greater version.

When I try to activate the plugin ‘Theme Feature Controller’ this error shows up:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /web/htdocs/ on line 175

Response: This error comes from a deprecated version of PHP that you have on your hosting.

Talk with your hosting provider support and ask them to upgrade your hosting’s PHP version to 5.3.

This will solve your problem.

When I try to activate redux framework I get this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare add_another_section() (previously declared in /var/www/web73/html/wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/sample/sample-config.php:1187) in /var/www/web73/html/wp-content/themes/Clubix/admin/redux-framework/sample-config.php on line 497

Response: The solution is very simple. Go to your downloaded ZIP, extract and go to “lib/plugins/”, extract ‘’, go to the new folder extracted and delete the ‘sample’ folder.

After that, delete the, and archive again the folder ‘redux-framework’ into ‘’ (the version without the ‘sample’ folder in it).

After that, archive and upload the theme again.

I can’t add a featured image anymore on posts or events. What’s happening?

This is a little problem in version v1.2.0 which we solved on the next update which is v1.2.1.

You should download the latest update, unzip it and go to the themes folder, lib/plugins/.

There you’ll find a ZIP with clubix-gallery plugin. Unzip it too, and copy the folder that appeared after unziping it, onto your website, in wp-content/plugins/ folder (probably with FTP).
