wow! clean work. but fonts dont support cyrillic :(

mopc76

Thanks,

cyrillic does supported, you can choose one of the fonts via admin panel, which supports cyrillic (Arial, Times, Georgia, etc.) or if you want one of the cyrillic google.fonts — it’s possible too, just minor changes in fonts.css file for google.webfonts cyrillic support.

Looks beautiful, but Social Media icons would be nice…

mopc76

Thanks, boogieted :) You can use any icons rounded or square in a top or bottom areas (can be accessed via Admin-Panel). The tons of icons in different design are available on WWW . Do you think we should include some by default? Will you buy this after? Just curious… Thanks again!

Not so long ago you were not really a fan for responsive design. Now here you combine it nicely with WP. Job well done!

mopc76

Barracuda, thank you for your comment! If our customers need responsive, we are ready to satisfy them :)

Can the full width accordion background beneath the dropdowns be removed/disabled?

Also – the vertical scrolling is very slow and jerky – this would cause complaints from visitors. Is this due to the options panel on the left? Can you provide a demo without this to test the scrolling. Thanks

mopc76

Hi,

are you about main menu dropdowns? Yes, that expandable background can be removed (minor changes in the code are necessary for it, not via options) but in that case dropdown menu would lost the contrast.

mopc76

We’ve disabled autoscroll of the left settings panel. Have a look now.

Is it possible to add custom CSS code to this theme? I looked over your admin panel screens and didn’t see a place for this (like I see with many other WP themes).

mopc76

Hi,

yes, it’s possible, into the field “Code block before </head>” in the “Extra code blocks, counters” section of the options panel you can add any code you want (scripts, css), for example, if you want add custom CSS , add
<style>
/*Your css here*/
</style>

Any (layered) PSD available?

mopc76

Hi, thanks for purchasing! We got some psd, but doesn’t announce them in Item Description, because they are not 1:1 to the final result, some elements was done directly in CSS , without using Photoshop. If it is OK, please write us using our profile page and we’ll send you some files in 24 hours or may be even faster.

Ok – purchased the theme but I have to say I’m VERY disappointed and unhappy with what’s included.

The instructions are just appalling!

There’s absolutely no dummy data file included to upload and see how you’ve set things up. How a novice will manage to set this is is a mystery!

There’s no information on how the sliders are to be set up. There’s no information on what image sizes are to be used. You don’t say what logo size is preferred When you upload a logo, it breaks the layout There’s no information on what each section on the home page is. How are the sliders to be set up? How is text added to a slider?

Did you actually think this through before you put this theme for sale?

I’m very skilled with Wordpress but I have no idea how to set this up and it will take hours or days of my time to figure out what you have done.

Can you please provide FULL setup instructions asap?

mopc76

Do you have problems only with homepage content or anything else?

Theme options have a separated section named “Homepage slider”. Just look through the theme options. Every field has a comment (Slide title, Slide description, Slide Image, etc.). “Slide Image” field does have a comment about size (460×320 or 940×320 for full-width image slides). Can you describe your difficulties with more details?

Other content on the homepage – is a content block after slider + footer + testimonials.

How to add content after slider – the documentation does contain the instructions. Footer – is just a sidebars set filled by widgets – it’s a common case.

Testimonials has a separate section in the admin panel and it does mentioned in the documentation.

So, please, ask more specific questions and we will answer.

I’ve figured out most things so far but your instructions are still very poor. Have you actually followed your instructions step by step or asked a novice to set this theme up?

If you follow your instructions as they are written, it is almost impossible for any novice to create the theme like your demo.

For example – following your instructions in Section 1.3 “Setting up the home page”

You only get a 2 paragraphs …

“You can do so by navigating to Pages > Add New….Select the “Home Page” template from the Page Attributes section and click “Publish”.....navigate to Settings > Reading and configure the “Front Page Displays” setting. Select the static page option and choose the page you just created as your front page.

Your homepage is now created and can be configured through the theme options.

Really? If you follow this exactly, all you get is a blank home page.

What are we supposed to do next?

Your instructions jump to section 1.4 “setting up the blog”.

There is no information at all on what to do next. Just go to the theme options and configure???

So…I want to set up the sliders like in your demo. How do I do this? Is it in the instructions? No.

I go to the slider options and it says…

“Homepage slider consists of slides, grouped to sections. You can add only one section, that way section slider will be absent.”

What does this mean exactly? You can add only one section? If you add a section, the slider will be absent? This makes no sense whatsoever.

In your demo, the slider links have buttons, icons & tooltips. How do you add these in the slider options? There is no option to add a button, icon or tooltip. Is it a short code? Do you have to manually code the HTML or CSS ? You need to provide examples otherwise people have no idea how to do this.

You don’t provide a dummy xml content file to upload. (Second time I’ve asked)

In your demo, there is a content panel beneath the sliders with 4 columns. Where is the instruction for this? Do I have to guess?

You don’t say what this panel is or how to set it up. There is no mention of it anywhere in your instructions that mentions this.

You say…”Other content on the homepage – is a content block after slider + footer + testimonials.”

What does this mean exactly? It makes no sense? Is the footer after the slider and before the testimonials?

In your widget sections, there is more confusion. You have 3 footers but you don’t say which is which or how to configure them. Which one is which?

The footer at the bottom of the page (The yellow bar where copyright info would go) is mentioned nowhere. I eventually found it hidden in the options panel.

Logo (2nd time I asked) You don’t say preferred size for adding a logo. Adding a logo of anything greater than 71 px height breaks the layout.

Adding short codes – 4 columns breaks the layout. i.e. the 4th (last column) is shifted down the page.

It’s a nice design but the instructions are just awful. You presume everybody knows Wordpress like you do but you don’t explain how to set things up as per your demo. Your instructions are only 8 pages long with lots of important setup information missing. There are no tutorial steps or “howtos”. It’s all “in theme options”.

You really need to go back and rewrite your instructions.

mopc76

Ok, can agree that the documentation can be extended. Give us some time to do it. But not all what you say is correct.

Setting up the home page. Why have you cut out the most important phrase in your quote? Are you kidding?

You can do so by navigating to Pages > Add New. You can enter any text for this page — it will be displayed at the homepage after the slider. Select the “Home Page” template from the Page Attributes section and click “Publish”.

So the text is configured, slider can be configured via options. Here you are right, the documentation should explain some more.

Your instructions jump to section 1.4 “setting up the blog”.

There is no information at all on what to do next. Just go to the theme options and configure???

No information at all?? There are a little less then 2 pages about how to set up the blog and about post formats

I go to the slider options and it says…
Yes, thats wrong phrase, the sense should be another. Will be fixed. Slides description texts can contain shortcodes. We will add this to documentation.
You have 3 footers but you don’t say which is which or how to configure them. Which one is which?
Each block have the name: “Footer Left (Double) Column” , “Footer Center Column”, “Footer Right Column” – what’s wrong? They should be filled by widgets – it’s the native functionality of the WordPress.

Logo: we will add a comment.

Adding short codes – 4 columns breaks the layout. i.e. the 4th (last column) is shifted down the page.
Have you checked last column like “Last column” in the shortcode generator? Columns works normally.

So, everything is not so bad as you describe. But never the less we will extend the documentation.

Er…sorry mate but English is my first language and everything I said was correct. You’ve not even read what I said properly and in context

I’ve got 15 years as a coder/developer under my belt and I’ve never seen such an apalling set of instructions on how to set up a wordpress theme!

All you’ve done is take what I’ve written and quoted in bold trying to make me look stupid and out of context!

“You can enter any text for this page — it will be displayed at the homepage after the slider. “

Er.. what does this mean exactly? Again, it makes absolutely no sense in English!

You have blatantly ignored some of the things I asked for twice i.e. dummy content

In the context of what I wrote “There is no information at all on what to do next. Just go to the theme options and configure???” this followed on from reference about there being no information on setting up sliders. I repeat “there is no information of any kind on how to setup the sliders”

“Have you checked last column like “Last column” in the shortcode generator? Columns works normally.”

Are you taking the piss? No it doesn’t. It breaks!

“So, everything is not so bad as you describe. But never the less we will extend the documentation.”

Er… yes it is. It’s only the fact that I have 15 years experience as a developer that I was able to figure out most of your mess. I gave the theme to a novice to try and set up this morning and they did not have a clue how to set your theme up!

Your theme is listed as “well documented” on themeforest. It certainly is NOT well documented and I’ve got a good mind to report this the Themeforest for being misleading!

mopc76

Dummy content: it’s not so easy, standard import/export covers only posts/pages content/settings and some more. But it can’t import/export “Theme Options”. We will think about the solution.

Four columns problem: could you provide us a link to figure out the problem.

Please, check out the updated documentation. It’s not filnal, some screenshots will be added. http://olevmedia.com/themes/comdex-wp/documentation.pdf

With any futher messages, please, write us via contact form.

Ok…another issue.

There is no information in the theme options or the setup document for a contact page.

How is this done?

mopc76

Stuartyboy, this is a regular WP page. You need to create it, then connect it with Menu through Appearance->Menus, add any text information & insert Google Map sized 600×270. Set up Page Attributes to Template->Default Template.

I have looked at the theme and i really like it , and would be looking to buy it and use for my website. BUT I am a novice, i have never created a website before, and after reading the comments, it appears it is very difficult to set up a website which looks like the preview… is this true? Cheers

Hi,

I want to use this on one of my company blogs which is blog.example.com… there are already some posts on there.. is there a way I can move these existing posts to the blog section if I use ComDex?

Thanks…

mopc76

Hi,

yes, you can just install our theme on your existing wordpress copy, activate it, and all your posts will be shown in new layout. If you want to setup a new copy of WordPrss, you can use standard WordPress Tool to export/import blog posts (Tools – Import/Export).

Hi

Great theme! Just purchased, easy to configure had it set-up in about 10mins.

Question: I want to display the portfolios from just my ‘video’ portfolio category on a page. I can get ‘all’ my portfolio categories displaying on the page however I want to exclude some.

Is there a shortcode for this?

Many thanks :)

mopc76

Hi, muppy, thank you for purchase!

Currently there is no shortcode for portfolio with category. We will add this feature on the next update.

Hi I would like to remove the part with the section name on the home page when using a slider but can not find the lines of code to remove it. It is the part just above the slider with the white background and Slider Section name – for us it has no use so i would like to remove it and move the slider up.
