How can you configure the twitter feed in the footer?

Tried editing the var tweet as discussed in the documentation. I set that equal to the twitter id. Doesn’t change anything. Am I doing this wrong?

Nesia

Hi,

you can configure twitter feed by editing file js/script.js. Find line 643 and change that option with your username.

That works, thanks.

ps. also tried editing the flickr pictures. nothing shows up when i put in my flickr id. Any idea why?

Nesia

Did you put your username or unique flickr id into flickrid variable? If you input username, it won’t work. You have to input unique flickr id, get you flickr id from here http://idgettr.com/

Default-user

Actually this just started working … weird :)

Yes, we had the correct flickr id from idgetter…

Is there any way to use the flickr widget with 6 image urls we specify instead of getting images from flickr. We are not really flickr users but we like the presentation of 6 images in the footer if we can put in our own images instead.

Default-user

actually we just figured that out too ;) thanks anyway!

How to develop it a template on a full window of the browser? Whether there will be a version fullwidth?

Nesia

Hi,

This theme uses bootstrap grid system, there are no full window grid on bootstrap, so you have to modify all grid. And no, there are no full window template in this theme.

In the “product i” and “product ii” views, is there some easy way to have the products on the right and the sidebar on the left, instead of the way it is currently (products on left & sidebar on right)?

http://demo.nesia.me/html/commerce-html/product-ii.html
Nesia

Hi,

To switch content and sidebar position, you have to change some style, try put this code in style.css

#content {
  float: right
}
#secondary {
  margin-left: 0
}

Hi, first, congratulations very nice template!

A couple of questions: 1) how can I change the color of the little blue line that appear in the navigation bar buttons when I move the mouse on them? I tried to look at “nav” “dropdown” and “dropdown-toggle” but with no succes.

2) the textboxes in blog page appear empty when using IE9

Thank you very much :) Stefano

Nesia

Hi,

How to change the color of the little blue bar line…
Add this code at the bottom of style.css
.navbar .nav > li > a:hover:before,
.navbar ul:first-child > .current_page_item > a:before,
.navbar ul:first-child > .current_page_item > a:hover:before,
.navbar ul:first-child > .current-menu-item > a:before,
.navbar ul:first-child > .current-menu-item > a:hover:before,
.navbar .nav > .dropdown:hover > a::before {
  background: #0072FF /* Change this color as you need */
}
the textboxes in blog page appear empty when using IE9
What textboxes? Do you the mean the textarea for comment message?

Hey Nesia,

Great job done here with the template. Usually we get these kind of designs only in wp, after a huge search I got to your template and its awesome.

I am looking to buy it soon, I have a few question.

1. Can I get an exclusive licence on the template ever? 2. Do you provide customization in your template in case needed ?

Thank you.

Nesia

Hola Vinay!

Hmm exclusive, does it mean that the template just for you? Well you can see my screenshot here https://www.evernote.com/shard/s82/sh/7a987531-9e44-4f8b-88d4-a46366d04a3f/f8dcd5044507ae535bed1482e99ebffa for extended license and contact envato support for how to doing that, cause authors here just providing awesome stuffs, but not the finance.

What kind of customization? If just some small stuff and code, yeah we do provide it. But if huge improvement, that will needs quotation.

Thanks, mate.

Default-user

Yes, with exclusive I meant “Just for me” licencing. I saw the extended licence, but there no mention on how to get an exclusive licence.

Also, some your template seems to be the exact fit for my proposed magazine website about all the amazing things in the world, but I need a different home page for that. Also a few customization on inside pages also.

hi Nesia,

I bought your template a few weeks ago, and currently developing this template. I have made some modification in CSS as you suggested, and now I want to make a dialog using the integrated jquery-ui inside your template, but I failed. The console said that there are no functions to create a dialog in the jquery-ui inside your template. I already downloaded a custom jquery-ui dialog only package, but still not working. Can you help me solve my problem, please?

Thank you.

We plan to update this template and support Bootstrap 2.2.2, but not in the short term.

Currently we at Nesia are preparing something specials for Nesian out there. We’ll put the update schedule in the middle of or after that.

We’ll keep you updated.

Thanks for inquiring.

Hi guys, We’re building new website in Rails using this theme, so we went with haml and just copy&pasted the assets, which was really cool.

However, as we started digging deeper into the theme, certain problems arised. 1. Editing big files. _widgets and _responsive are big, but _stylesheet is simply huge at 2.6kloc. Bootstrap is split into <500loc files, most of them are at 100loc. So I assume you have some tools you use to build e.g. _stylesheet to make it manageable, could you somehow share these tools? 2. I couldn’t find any form template. I mean a template for forms like user registration, user profile, contact, etc., which can have more generic role, i.e. given the basic styles for elements I can build a legit looking general-purpose form.

Thank you.

Nesia

Hello dzigus,

We try to answer your questions one by one.

  1. By ‘100loc’, do you mean ‘location’? We’re using a tool called ‘MiddleMan’. You can check it in here: http://middlemanapp.com
  2. We have a template for Contact Form. You can find at /source/contact.html.haml. But to remind you that this is only a template so it doesn’t have the functionality to send emails in real. Also, because we’re using bootstrap element styles for forms, actually you can use the bootstraps forms elements directly. Find it on http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/base-css.html#forms

Hope it helps. And thank you for buying and using Commerce Template.

Cheers!

Hi, Thanks for the answer.

So to clarify: LOC = line of code, also KLOC = one thousand lines of code.

We went for middleman as well for drafting the website, but then we switched to ROR with haml and sass+compass, I basically copied your middleman config and after some changes it works with rails now.

What I meant however is how you manage these pretty big sass (not css) files. For someone, who is not familiar with your codebase it’s not easy to introduce heavier changes to the layout. E.g. we wanted to change widths for product detail #primary and widgets, but that proved to be very hard, and we gave it up. We also removed the cart top-right triangles, but I’m afraid we did it in a pretty dirty way.

ad ii. That’s ok, That’s what mailers are for ;) And we actually went this way, that is, we built forms on bootstrap directly. I was just hoping I will not have to work on form layouts myself. I think this theme could greatly benefit from having styled “lego” like (I mean Lego blocks) form elements.

Apart from that, we were pretty happy. I would recommend this theme to people aware of these minor issues.

Nesia

Hi again dzigus,

What I meant however is how you manage these pretty big sass (not css) files.

Here’s some little tips for you.

For basic rule, do not touch any files inside /source/css/partials/lib/ directory. They are part of Twitter bootstrap framework.

This will make editing the style easier. You will only need to edit files inside /source/css/partials/custom/ directory.

Last but not least, to make you easier for style debugging, you can change line_comments in the sass options to true in your config file.

If you have done all above, then you’re good to go :)

And thanks for recommending this theme to others.

Cheers!

Nice template. I was wondering if the main sliders could rotate by themselves every at a rate of 3 seconds per slide.

Nesia Author

Yap. Go to Page for Homepage, on the left side you’ll see “Nesia Homepage Builder” click on the “active elements for homepage”, maybe you have Default slider or camera slider then you’ll see setting for “auto slide” section.

Set “Autoplay Slide” to Yes and Set “Autoplay Interval” to 3(that’s 3 second), you can see this screenshot

Hi a7medo778,

If you’re looking the WordPress Theme version of this template, you should look at this instead: http://themeforest.net/item/commerce-versatile-responsive-wordpress-theme/2569077

This version is only for HTML templates.

And yes, in the Commerce for WordPress version, it already supports WooCommerce for pinterest-like page.

See our demo here: http://demo.nesia.me/wp/commerce/shop/

Hello, currently i’m developing a website with your template in AngularJS but I have a problem: The Pinterest boxes have no spaces between them. So, in the chrome console I compared the code generated from the original template with the code generated from AngularJS. The difference between them is this:

Original template <article class="product sale" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px;">

AngularJS <article class="product ng-scope sale" ng-repeat="product in products" ng-class="{true:'sale', false:''}[product.onsale]">

If we get rid of the ng parameters, the difference is that no inline styles are being created.

Note: The Bootstrap and all the other head and script imports are the template originals.

¿What’s the problem?

Nesia

Hi ernesto82,

The Pinterest-like layout in Commerce HTML is auto-generated by jQuery.

Have you made sure to load the plugins.js and script.js properly?

Cheers!

Default-user

Thank you, I will revise if there is a solution.

Nesia

You’re welcome ernesto82,

Hope you can solve your problems.

Cheers!
