Excellent! Good Work!

From theme options can I set up this theme to have the slider at the top, widgetized footer at the bottom, and a blog with 1 column right for widgets?

I see the classic blog demo which has no slider or footer. Thank you.

webmanna

That mostly answered it. I want a blog page to be my home page. Sounds like the blog can have a footer and a sidebar – can the blog – as a home page – have a slider at the top.

ThemeBlvd

Not without going into the code. You could manually put in the HTML code for a slider in template_blog.php, but that’s pretty much the only option.

ok purchased – and requesting the updated files via pm so I can start working on it. Tx

Looks like a great theme. Would it be possible to create/add the following features:

- Unlimited side-bars for pages

- Homepage 2: Allow widgets for the right column …. instead off only news/blog articles.

Thanks in advance. Have a great holiday.

ThemeBlvd

There is only one sidebar for standard pages, however a better option would be to make use of the Widget Logic plugin. I use this for a lot of clients because obviously not everyone wants the exact same widgets to show on ALL pages. It’s really awesome. You should check it out.

In order to make use of the widgetized sidebar on Homepage 2, you’d need to do some editing. You can open up template_homepage2.php and replace the entire sidebar div with the dynamic sidebar by inserting this code:

<?php get_sidebar(); ?>

As a reference, you can open up page.php and see a good example of how the basic page with dynamic sidebar is laid out.

Hi, great theme although I’ve just installed and instantly got these errors…

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘Jaybich_Portfolio::template_redirect’ was given in …/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 395

Any ideas?

Thanks D

Great, thanks Jason. I thought it would be something easy to fix. I’ll send you a PM to get the files please if that’s OK.

Congrats though – its an amazingly brilliant theme – so customisable and easy to use!

Cheers D

PS. I was checking your blog earlier – your dog is gorgeous!

ThemeBlvd

haha yes, she is a beauty! The best dog anyone could ask for!

If anyone else experiences this bug on their server before the update gets approved through Theme Forest, feel free to send me a private message and I can send you the updated files.

Hi mate,

Is there a live version available for the “light blue” version? Would like to see that one in action in stead of the screenshot.

Thanks!

ThemeBlvd

Check back on the live demo in a couple of hours. I’m creating a little javascript style switcher for the demo only so all the styles can be previewed.

ThemeBlvd

The demo style switcher is on the live demo now:

http://www.themeblvd.com/demo/complexity-cms

I believe the style you want to see is #9.

Very nice theme !

ThemeBlvd

thanks!

Looking forward to the updated files as I am also getting the error message (similar to 30two). Are we going to be notified by TF once they have been approved?

ThemeBlvd

I will start an update log and post at the bottom of the item description. You can send me a private message for the files, as well.

ThemeBlvd

The update just went through.

Thank you for the update. Great. However, I am still getting the following error message (slides for Homepage 2):

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...../public_html/wp-content/themes/complexity/framework/custom_post_types/slideshow.php on line 102

Thank you

ThemeBlvd

Where do you see this error? Can you give me a link or a screenshot? Feel free to send it to me through email if you don’t want it to be public.

Opleads Purchased

Thank you. Sent you a Email.

ThemeBlvd

I was able to reproduce your error on a shared hotgator account I have and there was an easy fix. So, I’ll be sending you the files through email shortly.

Beautiful theme… one of the nicest I’ve ever seen (and I’ve spent hours looking through them!). Well done and keep up the great designing! Will be buying this one!

ThemeBlvd

Cool. Thanks for the nice words!

Help!

I have just bought this and am having problems and getting this message I think other people have had this too? How do I send you a PM for updated files?

When did you download the theme from theme forest? That error existed the first 24 hours the theme was posted on theme forest, but was then fixed with an update.

The site is all set up It is having an issue in Firefox. Anyone have any suggestions? Seems fine in all other browsers – and it loads in some Firefox browsers but only a few. I can not identify the difference. Seems to mostly be on macs using firefox.

In style12.css, try removing your “overflow:auto” on the #main div and see what it does in firefox.

Fixed. And for comment readers = I customized the site home page quite a bit so i created my own issue. This theme is outstanding – the functionality is excellent.

ThemeBlvd

What was the fix? As lame as it sounds, CSS brain busters intrigue me.

Ginetta Purchased

I bought it on the 5th July? If I download it again, will it have the fixes?

ThemeBlvd

Yes. The bug you mentioned has already been fixed and will be solved if your re-download the files. However there is currently one more update in the queue that fixes a couple of other bugs that I’m waiting to get approved by Theme Forest.

Ginetta Purchased

Do you know when that will be? Does that fix the one mentioned above by webManna too?

ThemeBlvd

It’s hard to say when it will be. It’s when ever the Wordpress themes reviewer sits back down at his computer. Hopefully in the next 24 hours. You can always check the update log at the bottom of the Item Details to see when the last update when live.

And Webmanna’s above problem has to do with the customizations he did to the theme. They aren’t bugs.

Hello,

This looks like the theme I need which will be primarily for setting up pages with slideshows. I’m not crazy about lightbox.

So, can I set up individual pages with wider slideshows than 580 like you have on the homepage?

Is it possible to have links on the slideshow images?

ThemeBlvd

I’m going to be posting an update that allows you to change the width (currently you can’t)...

When you insert the shortcode for the slideshow, you can put in whatever width and height you want like this:

[slideshow category="example" height="200px" width="580px"]

Keep in mind that on the 2-column subpage layout, 580px is the max width it can be to fit, however you can use the Full Width page template and set the slideshow wider.

And yes, you can link the images to whereever you want. This is what the screen looks like in the admin panel when you add an item for a slideshow:

http://www.themeblvd.com/demo/complexity-cms/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/slide2.png

If you leave the “Link” blank the image won’t be clickable, but if you add in the link, the image will be clickable.

I have a couple questions:

1. i have a shared hostgator account as well…does that mean the error you were able to reproduce is now fixed in the updates?

2. I am new to WP and would like to know if I can install the site in one place…make all my edits and when ready move it to the final domain.

For instance install in on mydomain.com/developersite and the move it to mydomain.com when it’s ready…I’m sure this is a simple thing for experts…sorry for my ignorance.

Thanks, Steve

ThemeBlvd

1. Yup. I already fixed the error. Should be fine with Host Gator.

2. Basically, this is how you would do go about moving your wordpress site.

You would export your Wordpress database through phpMyAdmin.

http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database

You would copy all of your files to your new server.

You open up your database SQL file you exported previously with a text editor (like dreamweaver, coda, textmate, etc.) and do a mass find and replace of your old domain with your new domain.

Then you would import that SQL file into your new database on your new server.

http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup

It can sound like a lot of steps if you’re new to do it. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to do a couple of practice moves. It would suck to do an entire website for a client, and then screw it up at the end.

Default-user

Thanks a ton…I will try some practice moves as you suggest and then make the final move.

I will be purchasing very soon.

Thanks, Steve

I have a quick question. May be stupid but just wanted to ask. I purchased this theme the day it came out and since then there have been a few updates. How would i go about adding the few updates? do i need to re-FTP all of the theme back to my site? Or are there sections that get updated and i can just update 1 file? thanks for any response. Ben

ThemeBlvd

I believe the only affected files would be:

/framework/custom_post_types/portfolio.php

/framework/custom_post_types/slideshow.php

/framework/shortcodes/shortcodes.php

So, you should be able to just update those files.

ThemeBlvd

And

/framework/theme_options/options.php

Hello i have recently purchased this item, i have installed wordpress v3

my question is can i update the sql file for demo content on my wordpress v3?

Demo Content (for advanced users)

or it must be wordpress v2?

please help

ThemeBlvd

It will only work on Wordpress 3.0. I’d suggest importing the SQL into an empty database though, as it says in the documentation.

Absolutely beautiful theme themeblvd!!

Very Easy to install and content. Documentation is incredibly well prepared.

Thank you so much for submitting.

Thanks a lot. I’m really glad you like the theme!

Hey,

Regarding the Contact Form.

Does the customization allow for a drop down field that forces the user to select the subjet matter. For instance

I would like the user to select whether it is a general inquiry or a job application question and then when it is submited the email would ideally go to either general@mydomain.com or employment@mydomain.com

if not can I have two seperate contact pages one in the employment section and one in the Contact Us section and have them set-up so that one sends to general@mydomain.com and the other to employment@mydomain.com?

Thanks, Steve

ThemeBlvd

Sorry, none of those things would be possible. The contact form is meant to be used once. You can not have multiple. And there’s no way to add a drop down without actually putting in the HTML code yourself into template_contact.php.

If you’re wanting to do those things, I’d really suggest using this plugin:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/

It works really well. You can create as many contact forms you want with all kinds of options and then insert them into your pages and posts with a simple shortcode.
