Here are a few reasons as to why i find your new support system, senseless and terribly time-consuming.

1. Everytime we login we have to hunt for the purchase code again and put it every time we need to ask a new question. It was not like this in the old support system which was very very efficient in my opinion. 5 minutes of our life wasted EVERYTIME.

2. The text-box where we need to write the subject/question is hardly around 150px so we cannot see the complete question that we typed, in order to have a better judgement if we have asked the question precisely.

3. The main text area is too small for an elaborate question.

4. The major bummer : we cannot write or copy paste any code as your support system eats up the code. I have complained about it earlier too and I had to come back here at themeforest.net comment section and paste the code again. You may check my previous thread above. Since it is obvious that such copy paste or writing of few or more lines are codes are required sometimes or most of the times in order to be precise about the question. So this is a must have.

Once the question is submitted, then there is a “respond to ticket” panel that appears which has the insert code snippet feature but then, why complicate a simple step ?

I like your theme guys and that is why I purchased it. I suggest you to definitely consider moving back to old support system or change it to a useful and sensible one. In face I find the themeforest’s comment section more sensible and simple.

I hope you respect the buyer’s time and come up something efficient which do not put us on a time consuming track, as it currently does.

Hoping for a good change :)

You’re not required to enter your purchase code every time. You can also ask a few questions in the same ticket.

You have to understand that, like many on ThemeForest, our themes are being downloaded from torrent sites for free and asking for a purchase code is the only way for us to ensure we are providing support to those who actually purchased a theme.

The forum web app that we chose isn’t perfect but it is being improved regularly. The comment system here isn’t searchable and we end up answering the same questions over and over. We are actively looking for a better forum/support solution.

Thanks for your feedback.

Hi, I need to get rid of all the unnecessary script and style calls from my header in view-source, in order to optimize my site for speed. There are more than a couple of scripts that this theme loads on every page (‘archives’, ‘custom-post-type’ and ‘templates’ etc etc.) regardless of being of any use to that page. Following methods suggested here and there, I have been able to optimize my other plugins.

So, How do you suggest I enable them on selective pages only ? Please do not suggest a plugin, I would like to do this manually with a few lines of code. For a start, you could suggest me a code for one of the theme scripts such as eg. isotope.min.js (which is of no use except the archive page so I would like it not called on rest of pages) and I will get an idea for the rest. Hope I am clear for what I ask.

Please help.

We already set the scripts to not load on certain types of pages. If you open up functions.php around line 45 you’ll see the dt_theme_script_enqueues() function that loads the theme’s scripts. You can be more strict with the conditionals there.

Thanks @DT, just needed that hint. I have started working and the results are wonderful. The reason I like this theme is, there isnt too much bloat. :)

Is it possible to integrate some kind of Twitter and/or instagram feed to the theme?

We do include a custom twitter widget in the theme. You can see it in the sidebar here… http://demo2.designerthemes.com/construct/category/blog/

A feed for instagram can easily be added as well with one of the free plugins available.

Thanks for the fast reply :-)

I can’t seem to get the Jetpack Comment plugin to work on this theme? Do you know how to get it going…?

Open up the comments.php file and at the bottom replace the Comment Form section of code with this…

/*    Comment Form

    if ( comments_open() ) : ?>

        <?php comment_form(); ?>

    <?php endif; // if you delete this the sky will fall on your head ?>

<?php endif; // if you delete this the sky will fall on your head ?>

Working perfectly – and by adding:

<div style="width:580px;" />

...it has the same width as the rest of the page… :-)

I’m getting this error, but strangely enough only when viewing the site on my phone?

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘echo_tweets_js’ not found or invalid function name in /var/www/www.digital-dreams.dk/www/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 406

...just forund out – it’s not only on my phone.

I updated WP to 3.6.1 and after that on every page pops up the image viewer. Do you know this problem and how can i fix this? (i turned all plugins off with no result)

Yes, there was a bug with the js plugin and WP3.6

We since added a fix and updated the theme. You can download the latest version from your downloads page http://themeforest.net/downloads

Here’s info on how to update your theme… http://designerthemes.ticksy.com/faq/1352

Hello, I was interested in purchasing this theme or 1 of your other ones. Is it possible to have that header image to span across the page and not 1/3rd of it. I would like to have an image that spans across the top.

I’m not exactly sure what header image you’re referring to. Can you maybe provide a link or screenshot?

Hi I’m looking to puchase this as well. Are there any ad modules incorporated into the theme (placements) – or will I need to modify the code myself to add these in.

There are sidebar, footer and welcome widget areas that you can place ads into. Anywhere else you would need to edit the template files or use an ad plugin that uses hooks.

I updated WP to 3.7.1 and after that on every page pops up the image viewer. And then, I downloaded the latest version from my downloads page.

But, There is still image viewer on every page. How can i fix this?

That issue was fixed in the latest version you downloaded. It was a js file that was updated. My guess is that you have some kind of caching that is still loading the old version of the js file.

Hello All of my video links are down – please advise. Mark www.deadwhenigothere.org

Hi there. Everything looks fine when I checked. If you are still have problems please create a support ticket in our forum. Thanks

Hello, currently when i move the mouse above the post images in home, the picture gets blurry. I belive that the problem is in the class ”.item .featured-image a, .item .featured-image img” with You can help me?

I’m not sure what you mean. Please submit a support ticket in our forum with a screenshot and a link and I’ll look into it for you. Thanks

Great Template!

Does this support RTL ?

Sorry but we have not tested this theme for RTL support.

In the home page, how do I disable the the posts counter? I’m referring to the counter above, “load more”.

You can remove it by adding this to your custom css box in the theme options panel:

#load-more-link .count-text {
    display: none;

How do you remove these lines in the comment section?

You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””>

<del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong /></i></em></del>

Add this to your Custom CSS box in the theme options panel:

.form-allowed-tags { display: none; }

Thanks! :)

we purchased this item here. Everything was fine until we updated wordpress to latest update.

now the template is launching a colorbox white popup with nothing loading and we never and there is no option anywhere to even load this modal popup on every page load.

we managed to find that it’s the lightbox code in jquery.custom.js in the construct/js/ folder that is loading this modal popup, but if we try to remove the lightbox code it simply stop having a modal popup on image sitewide, and we are not interested in removing the feature, we love it but want to get ride of this modal popup on every page load.

attention, we already desactivated each plugin to see if that bug could come from a JS conflict with another plugin. it does not.

even with all the plugins disabled the modal popup still load on every page everywhere on the site, this is really getting crazy because we searched every place took already help from a friend and there is no way to find the origin of this popup and or why it should load itself this way after a simple wordpress update.

can you have a look ? http://www.collectif-krasnyi.be/ i will put below email of the tech-friend that you can be in touch with so that he can provide login if necessary.

I noticed you’re using a very old version of this theme and there have been many updates since then. You should install the newest version which should fix this problem and include other improvements.

You can download the latest theme version from your ThemeForest account here… http://themeforest.net/downloads

Here’s info on how to update your theme… http://designerthemes.ticksy.com/faq/1352

This theme now includes auto updates so you’ll see an update notice in your WP dashboard for new versions going forward.

Is it possible to add a sidebar to the home page layout, while still retaining the masonry effect?

Sorry, there is not a homepage sidebar option with this theme.

Thanks for the reply!

Hi. I had purchased version 3.1, but the post editor (visual) window does not work anymore with the latest Wordpress 3.9. The changelog shows there is a Construct 3.2 that was updated on April 17, 2014—could I please download this update so I can fix my site? I would really, really appreciate your response.

From my ThemeForest account, the only download option available is 3.1, the version I already have.

The theme has an auto update feature. You can check to see if there is a newer version available by going to Appearance > Themes with the theme activated. If there is a newer version you will see an Update Available notice bar over the theme screenshot. You can click that link to auto-update the theme.

You should see version 3.2 available which has the post editor fix. If you don’t see the update available send me an email to joe(at)designerthemes(dot)com and I’ll send you the latest version.

Hey I am trying to get the updated version of this theme, I have run into the bug where the editor disappears in version 3.1, but am having a really hard time getting in contact with anyone about how to get version 3.2. I have tried updating the theme through wordpress but am just returned a package unavailable error. Not sure what I can do to help with this but would love any kind of suggestion. Construct is a great theme and I am excited for when I will have the opportunity to use it.

Hi there. Sorry for the delayed response. Some comments were inadvertently marked as read before being responded to. Do you still need help updating? If so, email me directly at joe at designerthemes dot com.

i’m using construct and i have this problem: i can’t edit post. on visual mode editing tools and text area doesn’t appear

This issue has been resolved a while back.

You can check to see if there is a newer version available by going to Appearance ? Themes with the theme activated. If there is a newer version you will see an Update Available notice bar over the theme screenshot. You can click that link to auto-update the theme.

Are you guys still updating this theme? Will you be releasing a version that’s compatible with WP 4.1? I don’t want to upgrade my WP unless I know my version of Construct has no issues with WP 4.1. KIndly advise. Many thanks.

Hi there. We have not had any users report problems with WP 4.1 and our demo site is working fine.

Just make sure you have the latest version of the theme installed and let us know if you experience any problems and will work it out.
