Okay I figured it out. I had the WP Reading Settings set to a Static Page rather than to Latest Posts.
That important config might be a good thing to add to the documentation.

I can’t log into the support forum. I have tried my themeforest username, email address, and it says the user is not registered. Can you help me figure this out?
Also – I want to have the three menus across link to different showcase groups, i.e. I have one group for Architecture, another for Exhibits, and then use the filtering within each group to get to subgroups, like Architecture -> Residential. Is there a way to do this? I created the pages but they all just link to the entire showcase.
Also, is there anyway to get captions on each image to show in the showcase projects?

You’ll need to register to the forums before you login. You’ll need your Envato username and purchase code.
Construct only supports one portfolio right now. We may update the theme to support unlimited depending on demand.

I would like to use the centered layout rather than left-margin justified, but when I select that option, the abstract (excerpt) descriptions in the showcase panels run out of the box on the right side (in other words, the right margin attribute looks to be incorrect with the center layout).

2. Yes, you can add a 728×90 ad in header
3. You would need to customize the homepage a bit to display an ad in the right column.
4. Yes, you can integrate Facebook comments.
5. Yes, you can have video category or a use the Showcase post type to display videos. http://demo.designerthemes.com/construct/showcase/
6. You can use the portfolio feature to display videos, image, galleries etc.

3. Does this require some coding? If so, can you support me customizing the homepage in a way that I can place the 300×250 ad?
I guess the ad will screw up your design right… because the ad size is different from the size of all the ‘blog posts’ shown on the homepage.

This would require some code changes because the homepage is set to display only posts and slider. We provide support for theme issues/bugs and included functionality. Customizations or added functionality are considered outside the scope of support.
However, with a little help from a WP developer you can easily make these changes.
I think i may givea very bad comment for that item. Support is very bad. I give one more chance to the author to kindly help me solve..

One small request
The layout of the 404 page, doesn’t look so great.
The error message, search field and lists are all jammed up against each other without and vertical spacing.
ie: http://demo.designerthemes.com/construct/sss
If possible would look better with some white space.
Also the default text in the search field is cut off and reads
“to search type and hit en”
When viewed in the lastest version of Firefox on a Mac. Maybe the field is too small or the text is too long?
Anyway just some suggestions

Hi there, I bought yesterday your great theme.
Only two little things: - the text overlaps the boxes if you resize the site or visit on a mobile device ( http://chops.ch/screen.png ) - is is possible to add a gallery additional to a movie showcase entry (i.e. i show a movie at the showcase and i want to show a making-of gallery)

1. Yes, there is a mobile-view bug with pages which we will fix with the next update.
2. The current version allows for only one portfolio but we are adding the ability for unlimited portfolios in the next update as well.

Is there a way you can use the filter option with the posts ? To make it work you have to upload the same product twice, once in the “template group” and once in the wordpress regular post, but then , they are two different things.

Hi there, I am wondering if the blog section can be made to display like the showcase? 1. Without the blog red box header. 2. With the categories/tags at the top. 3. When categories or archives clicked, the blog posts shuffle like the showcase?
Hi, it is possible but it would require a bit of customization to the code, as there is not a built-in option for this.

Hey, really want to buy this, as one of my clients loves it. Found a couple issues though.
IE 8 – The lightbox gallery doesn’t work, it shows the box opening then just implodes on itself. Works in IE7 though..
Also in IE 8 , the when you click on a post with a gallery, the images don’t show up, this also seems to work IE7 .
Also wondering if there is a date for the fix to the mobile text being cutoff that was said in earlier comment.

You need to use permalinks. Go to Settings > Permalinks to turn them on.
