Jeez! Stunning theme
Thx fireform

This is a remarkable template, “medium-rare”... as “well done” would be taken offensively in this culinary world
I love the videopost in the articles section, featuring Le Chalet de la Foret with Belgian chef Pascal Devalkeneer . Great choice for a great theme …
Kind words Barracuda62
Thx

Now, there’s an original theme! A rare sight amongst all those cookie-cutter ones we see nowadays. Well done!
Beau travail
Merci Pat
Hello! I love your theme, it’s perfect for an upcoming project. Hopefully you can help me with question: - The homepage is all widgets. So I can include a twitter widget/feed and it have the latest tweet in that box? - Is the slideshow a panel where images are loaded, or is it a widget too? - Can I have more widgets on the homepage than is currently on the demo? - Finally, are the homepage posts set to display the latest (post) for example?
Thank you kindly for your help!
Hello viklynnchill,
Thanks for the feedback !
1) The home page main content (under the slider) is 100% widgedized. The slider is actually managed by custom post types, you just create your slides using our custom options and then you select which slider you want on the front page.
2) I’m afraid that the twitter widget is not styled for the home page, we will submit this to our dev team.
3) The latest post (from the blog) is only the last one from the default post format.

Good idea
. Congrats! Good luck with your sales!

Are you’ll planning to add “Submit your recipe” (after registration) feature for users? That is a very nice feature that other themes have.
Hi,
That’s a great idea I’ll add it to our list of features for the next update.
Thanks, V-
A really striking design!
On my browser the slider ‘read more’ button is hidden behind the image thumbnails and is not able to be clicked. If it was moved up or the thumbnails were hidden then this problem would be solved.
Can an image background be added behind the header?
How would I post events to the widgetized homepage? Can it display blog post titles in one of the boxes?
An advanced search would be great. If tags can be added to each recipe then tags and categories could be used in an advanced search.
thanks
Hello soulnecta,
1) The read more button will be fixed within the upcoming update.
2) It is not possible to add a background image behind the header, sorry.
3) The front page layout display only the last one (1) blog post from your blog. We will analyses what we can do here to make it more flexible.
4) Advanced search by tags added to the upcoming features list, great idea!
I love this theme and want to use it for other purposes than a cooking site. By chance is there a way to get the theme customized?
Hi jdiazyo,
Of course you can use it for anything you like.
Keep us posted so we can check it out.:))
Thx S
If I purchase this theme, I’d want to use the Recipes pages/functions for something else – does the theme allow me to name the page (Recipes) and subnav (‘featured’, ‘weekly’, ‘main’) whatever I want (are they based on categories?) and remove/replace the ‘preparation’, ‘time’ and ‘servings’ or would I have to customize the code? Also if the home page is all widgets- I can also add boxes of text (i.e. a greeting or location/hours info) and turn off the blog posts appearing there, right?
Hello,
You can use the theme for something else but you’ll need to work a little bit with the code because it has been developed for foods related.
Everything is base on categories and you can rename everything the way you want. Even the custom post type have an option to rename it to something else.
The blog post on the front page is hard coded. We are currently in the process of moving this part to a widget. So you’ll be able to disable the blog and use other widgets.
Simon
Thanks Simon – my client selected this one yesterday, so I’d like to make it work – what is your ETA for other widgets on the home page? I have an event calendar widget I need to include there -
The milestone for the upcoming update is due for January 15th. We will build/optimize the following widgets : Custom text, Recent posts & Calendar.
Do you require anything else ? What is your deadline ?
Awesome! That date will work great – just in time for when I will need it
So far I was going to use the Timely widget… http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/
Ok great ! Follow us on Twitter to know when its ready!
Are you still on track to have this out by the 15th? I’ve purchased your theme and I’m in process of building the site -
Yes ! It’s going to be submitted today or tomorrow
Fantastic, you are awesome! Loving the theme too
any news?
Hello Tanya,
We had to fix critical issues on our others themes. I’m finishing this update tomorrow for Cooking Lovers. I’m sorry for the delay… Follow us on Twitter to know when it’s available.

already following you – will keep an eye out, thanks -
Is there any way I could see the recipe formatting page or even better the documentation prior to purchasing the theme so to be sure that it would fit my needs? I love the look so far. Thank you!
Hello rossana,
The demo is here : http://themeforest.net/item/cooking-lovers-responsive-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/3664234
For the documentation, please send us an email so we can email you back with the files.

Hi! Lovely work on this!! Quick question. Shortcodes are not working on my slider under “caption”. Am I missing something? Thanks!
Hello Sarah,
You can’t use short codes within the slider because the slider is a short code itself. WordPress doesn’t allow us to do that.
If you need special formatting, use HTML within the caption.

Hi there, love the theme. Since I want to use the theme as a blog for something else, I am wondering: I would rename the Articles page to Blog. On that page, now there is only a small part of the article, and then a read more button. Is it possible, to change so it shows the whole article, without read more button? And how does it work with page 1/2/3 etc…if you click on Articles, now you see 5 articles. What happens when you put 20 articles in there? Will it say: next, or previous, on the bottom of the page? If not, is it possible?
Many thanks! Claudia
Hello Claudia,
The read more button is within the article. You can insert it or not, its your choice. So yes you can display entire articles on the blog main page.
There is a navigation area, which is not visible on the live preview but if you tell WordPress to display 10 articles per page and you have 20 articles, visitors will be able to navigate trough the pages.
- Simon
Ok GREAT! And, one last question…can I change the font (of the menu etc)? If yes, is it easy?
Yes, there is a built-in font manager. You can choose from more than 200+ web fonts from the Google Fonts Library.
- Simon
Could you be more specific regarding removing “latest comment”? Also, I would like to remove the previews for “prep time”, etc in the recipe category page. How can I do this? Thank you. Great theme.
First… love the template. I can tell once I get it tweaked out, it’s going to look really nice. Quick question…. when I set a featured image, on the recipe page, the image is really big. This is not so much the problem as is the image usually ends up covering the first paragraph of text. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to control the image size to prevent this?
Thanks!
NM… I figured out how work with the image to make it fit!
is there a way to remove the ” designed by ototw” footer note ? i understand you might not like it but hey i had to ask…
You need to edit the file “footer.php”
I dont like the Navigation. But everything else is nice
Thank you
