At first, sorry for my bad english – im a german :)

Now my problem:

In the Rich Snippets by google, the stars from the votings will be only show with gd star rating. not with WP-PostRatings.

Can you tell me why?

And the second is, when user send me recipes through the frontend, no instructions will be send. the rest comes in.

thx for help

purethemes

Hi

I’m not sure I understand. This theme support WP-PostRatings – if post is rated, raitng data will be displayed in recipe, which then will be visible in Google like here http://bit.ly/H1v1ub Don’t use gd star rating as it’s not supported. However if it’s required I can add support also for that plugin.

I’ve checked submit form and it works ok for me, instructions are saved. Can you send me link to your website (and details to wp-admin by email) so I could check it?

Cheers

Hi, I’ve set “No, hide it” for the author info under post and page option, but I see the author info under pages.. Tried it on iPhone.

Can you Check This?

purethemes

I’m sorry, I’ve forgot to add it to pages. You can get rid of author info box by removing lines 25-34 from file page.php. I’ll fix it in next update.

Quick question:

I am not looking so much for a recipe website but to represent a cafe / restaurant.

Is this possible to do with your theme?

Thanks.

purethemes

Hi

I don’t know what you need for that kind of website. Hard to say, it’s just a theme, could be used for really anything ;)

Very small input-field at the fb-like-button. can you make this greater?

purethemes

Hi

Can you add some options to personalize 404 page?

Something like add a custom image for example… or more text…

purethemes

Hi

You can edit text in file 404.php, I’ll try to make it better in next versions.

Thanks

Just downloaded the new version! Amazing work. I’m wondering if in this update you were able to set up the recipe featured image so the user can click on it and see a bigger version in a lightbox or something of the sort.

I noticed on the updated feature list you mentioned “PrettyPhoto for recipe thumbnail.” Does that relate to what i mentioned above or is that something different entirely?

purethemes

Hi

yes, sorry, it doesn’t work for hRecipe format, only for schema.org, but that’s just my mistake. I’ve just send update for that, should be approved soon, I’ll let you know in comments.

Thank you!

purethemes

Please download theme again, it’s now fixed. Thank you

Hi,

1) For some reason, the coda slider in the main page of our blog does not show the category correctly under the post name (see http://www.yumzilicious.com/). Why is this happening? The slider dimensions are the default at 460px x 700px and the images are 700px x 500px. What else should I do to make this work?

2) When I click on a tag in a recipe, the text is struck-through and then I am taken to the advanced search page. The tag that I clicked on to get here is not highlighted in red. Also, is it possible to sort the tags in the advanced search page alphabetically? Make searching for other tags/ingredients easier.

3) A post with a recipe uses all the ingredients in the recipe as tags. It looks like we cannot add our own tags in addition to these. Can this be changed?

4) I came across a recipe site that had a tell-us-you-made-it button/balloon in the sidebar (see http://culturekitchensf.com/recipe/thai-coconut-soup). Do you think it is worthwhile to have a similar widget in this theme? Maybe you can integrate it with the Contact Form plugin (http://bestwebsoft.com/plugin/contact-form/) to send email directly instead of merely listing an email address.

Thanks!

purethemes

Hi

ad1) What size you have for Slider height in Slider manager? Try to change it to 10px higher, it might help. If no, try to run plugin “Regenerate Thumbnails”

2) Please open loop-search.php and replace
array( 'orderby' => 'count', 'order' => 'DESC' )
with
array( 'orderby' => 'name', 'order' => 'ASC' )

3) Curently no, but I’ll try to change it

4) I’ll add your request to “To-Do” list ;)

Thanks Cheers

Default-user

1) Thanks, I was finally able to work by setting slider height = 540px. Very odd that I should add 40px more to the image.

2) I could not find that piece of code in loop-search.php

3) I tested my site with Google Rich Snippets tool (like another poster) and I get 2 warnings (see http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?url=www.yumzilicious.com):

- Warning: Missing required field “updated”. - Warning: Missing required hCard “author”.

I tried fixing them as mentioned in the page below but i still kept getting the errors. Should I do anything else?

http://webstutorial.com/warning-missing-required-field-entry-title-missing-required-field-updated-missing-required-hcard-author/featured

Thanks!

purethemes

ad1) Try also getting back to previous setting and use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ to generate new size for featured image.

ad2) You’re right, sorry, it’s in purepress-functions.php in line 166

ad3) Actually it won’t work on homepage, as it’s collection of posts, you just don’t have author info there, you should rather test single page as they are getting the most from using microformats http://bit.ly/GXWvyo

Thanks for your continued work on this theme! Just downloaded the update and am having trouble with the coda slider on the home page. 1) There is no longer an “add slide” button on the slide manager page and 2) The slider does not display correctly on the home page. When viewing the home page, it flashes one of the images in the large/left section of the slider then disappears leaving a blank space. One additional image is partially displayed in the entire right side of the slider (where the thumbnails are suppose to show). No thumnails or text appear in the right column.

Thanks!

purethemes

Hi

I’ve just double checked it, and I’m sure it works as before, I haven’t done any bigger changes in slider with this update. Maybe you’ve missed some files while updating theme? Can I take a look at your website?

Yes, I’ll send it to you directly. Thanks!

Hi

I can’t see any problem with social icons, and I’ve added pinterest button to your sidebar :) Send me screenshot of that problem with icons you have.

Hi,

Just noticed that the blog index page is missing the page title (see www.yumzilicious.com). I can only see <title></title>. But page titles show up correctly for posts. How can I fix this?

Thanks!

purethemes

Hi

two options here:
  1. Use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/ it gives great options for customizing titles, keywoards and descriptions, generally one of the best SEO plugins for WP.
  2. Open header.php and change line with <title > to
    <title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> <?php wp_title("",true); ?></title>

The demo shows a “Print” button. Where is that option in the theme?

purethemes

You need to install PrintFriendly http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/printfriendly/

you’ll find more info about configuration of that plugin in Documentation

2 things…

1) There is a problem with the post image in the mobile version… look at this: http://bit.ly/H5gAVi

2) Can you add pinterest in the social follows icons widget?

purethemes

Hi

ad1) yes, I’ve noticed that also today, will fix asap

ad2) Pinterest was added in latest update to social widget (if you’re talking about that “special” widget in CookingPress options), but if you’re talking about “CookingPress Social Widget” from Widgets menu I’ll add it there.

hopefully these are my last silly questions. how do i edit the comment headers, such as, ‘leave a reply’, ‘post comment’?

lastly, why does this show in the comment area – ‘You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””>

<del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong>' thanks, tijuana </strong></i></em></del>

Sorry for another comment before purchasing but this is one of the last things I’m curious about.

A: Would it be really easy to add additional input for the food content, like where a user inputs Calories & Fat? I would like to have protein & sodium content for recipe input.

B: I imagine you are using a wordpress script for the user account management backend. Initially, when a user creates an account, they input username & email. What user info can you see inside wordpress & can you manage accounts much? Like deletion? Also, I assume you can make it so you have to approve every post before it goes live?

C: Lastly, where a user inputs username & email, would it be possible to have another required box to my liking that somehow reports the value back to me? I assume it’s sort of easy but don’t really know since you might be using a plugin. I would just like to have an added field like the email input that reports back whatever value they type.

purethemes

Hi

ad A. yes, it is a configurable lists of nutrition facts, you can add as many positions as you want

ad B. yes, every post submitted by user is saved as draft, you need to publish it to view it on website. And user managment is standard in WordPress, you as an admin can add/remove/edit users

ad C. It won’t be so easy, as it’s default WordPress function to register users and it would need to be modified. May I ask for what exactly you want to use it?

Best regards

Default-user

To A/B, sounds fantastic.

The reason I ask is because I am creating a site that only accepts recipes from a certain profession for which they would need to input a value so I could cross check it after the fact to ensure they are of that profession? If that makes sense…?

Wouldn’t we just be able to edit in another form that gets sent through? I just need another simple box for a value to pass somehow.

purethemes

It wouldn’t be as simple as adding another field, but if you know some PHP , it shouldn’t be too hard to customize it your way

Default-user

Ok. So that registration is part of wordpress. I wonder how hard it would be to edit the php file that is calling & sending the info since I know you can pass the values to multiple emails, etc.

So basically, no quick fix on your behalf? I know you know more php then me so I just wondered if it’d be something you could tell me how to change if at all possible.

purethemes

Basically no quick fix as it’s not a bug, it’s custom modification of theme which I can’t do for the price of theme, you can contact me via mail to discuss details and price of that modification.

Best regards

You think you can help me with a couple more items? The first is the coda slider… It’s not “sliding”. I checked out the js file, interval is set to 7000. So maybe I missed an initialization step. The other is changing font type of menu? Thanks!

purethemes

Sure, contact me via my profile page about it. Cheers

cuttlesoft

Got the slider working. line 17 of jquery.coda-slider-2.0.js needed to be;

couple more things for you to check out if you don’t mind.

1. in the submit recipe page- At the bottom it says “post review” would rather it say “submit recipe” or “post recipe”.

2. when i do an ingredient search using “any” the search works just fine, however if i chose 2 ingredients and choose “all” it simply redirects me to my homepage, it’s not searching

purethemes

ad1. you’re right, you can change it easily by editing template-anonpost.php or template-regpost.php and replace value=”Post Review” with text you want

ad2. you need this plugin for that http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tdo-tag-fixes/ it’s described in docs.

Hi

I don’t know why google shows you’re website like this, if you’ll check it here it works nice http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?url=http%3A%2F%2Fkochen-mit-erfolg.de%2Ftomatentarte%2F&view=

Rich Snippets are currently supported only in USA and Japan, more info here http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=173379 so that might be issue. Try to use some plugins for seo, like WordPress SEO by Yoast, it might help to get better SERPs

What means Warning: Missing required hCard “author” and what have i do to solve this error?

Is it better to release the recipes as post or as side?

purethemes

it’s not error, it’s warning, and it’s not important in that case, it’s used for hCard format, but we want to focus on hRecipe format here, however in next update I’ll fix this warning.
