I’ve tried your solution fixing with:
but the problem persists…
Look: http://bit.ly/GHlaIz
If you navigate through the posts you see wrong titles…
Yes… I think it’s an Author Widget issue… I’ve just disabled it and titles seem to work properly now… Can you investigate for it?
Yes, I’ll fix it ASAP
I want user genereated password feature in register form. How do I make that happen?
Hi
it’s currently not supported, you can make changes in template-regpost.php and instead of password input use this function http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_generate_password
I’ll try to add it as an option in next update.
Hi, beautiful theme! A lot of work and thought in it! Couple of short questions regarding the theme:
1. Is the autocomplete list of the ingredients is build upon past insertion, or predetermined? I will need it for a non-English website. 2. Have you ever had issues with All in One SEO plugin with this theme? 3. Have you validated a Schema.org version of the snippets? (now only hreview is tested) – for recipe snippet and review snippet.
Hi
thank you!
ad1. It’s based on past insertion, it helps you to maintain consistency in naming and after you have couple of recipes it’s faster to type those basic ingredients.
ad2. There is one bug with “WordPress SEO Plugin” by Yoast, and it’s only when you’re using Author Widget, it will be fixed on Monday. I’m sure it’s used by couple of buyers, but no one ever reported anything wrong. And even if something will come up, I’ll fix it asap.
ad3. Yes, of course, it’s just one setting for whole blog, you can use hrecipe or schema.org, and Live Preview is set to hRecipe
Best regards
hi! i sent you an email 3 days ago with questions about your theme, just seeing if you received it?
thanks, tijuana
Hi
yes, just replied.
Cheers
Im thinking of buying this theme, however I want to build the site in a different language. Is it possible to change language with this theme?
Hi, it includes .po and .mo files so it’s easy to translate to any language (info in documentation) looking from links buyers posted here you’ll find that most of them have different language
example: http://thechiliseed.com/
Cheers
At the end of the submit recipe page form, I can’t put the desire servings, levels, time needed. Am I missing something?
Hi
you mean you can’t select anything or this select box are just empty? Be sure to fill in these taxonomies under Admin menu – Posts
Hi again,
Somehow we can’t get the Servings to show up. The box is ticked in the options panel, but the pull-down to manage the servings on the recipe always reads “None”.
Have we missed something?
Thanks!
It might be stupid question, but did you add any Servings in Admin > Posts -> Servings?
Not a stupid question… No we didn’t. I didn’t know that existed until now. Sorry. What do we have to fill in here… numbers?
No problem
you can fill it however you want, it works the same as standard categories. You can put numbers or words.
Sorry, but it’s still not working… I must be doing something stupid. I’ve added a couple of Servings categories: 4 and 6. They now appear in the pull-down on the recipe, but they don’t appear anywhere in the post when it’s published… have I missed something (again)?
In CookingPress Options in Posts Options tab you can select it to show on index page. You’re right it’s not displaying in current version in recipe, I’m not sure how it happened, but it was there, I must have lost it during one of updates. Sorry for this, I’ll fix it asap.

+2 moreHi!
new update is ready to download.
Current version 1.2:
Changelog:Hi, Is that anyway I can show small definition of the Ingredients with small thumbnail image ? Because, the Ingredients name would be called in different names and terms in different country. The name what i added could be confused who understand the same Ingredient in different name. Other question is, In Home page is showing the recipes with small thumbnail with Level, comments and Servings options. Can I show the Ratings as just stars in the same widget.
Hi
ad1. It’s not implemented but it’s really good idea, I’ll add it in next update.
ad2. There was update today to version 1.2, and I’ve added that option.
Cheers
Thank You !! I see Other issue when i look my recipe page in IE, The recipe image is “Stretched”. My image size is 1024 X 683 which i uploaded. I remember for the same issue you fixed for me sometime back. The image view is good in Chrome. But not in IE browser. Any reason ?
Can you send me link and tell me please which version of IE? I’ve checked in my test version and it seemed fine.
Just checking but the livepreview is still the version 1.1 correct? I am not seeing the the auto-slider or ratings on homepage. Just wanted to see when I can view the new update.
Hi
check now, I’ve updated it. Cheers
I have been researching for a long time on a theme for a culinary blog. I have viewed hundreds and many very very well done but I think I finally found it, do you know why? Because I am a business man NOT with any clue on html, php or about 90% of the other stuff discussed in these posts. But because you have a very polite way of speaking to people I have decided to buy this simply because I believe you care. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Keep it up. My word, I’ll be buying this when i wake up tomorrow. I hope and pray you make millions of dollars. Good luck dude!!!
Thank you for your kind words
I try to give the best support I can ( I admit it’s hard sometimes ) and it makes me very happy when someone notice
I hope CookingPress is what you were looking for.
Best regards!
I’ve updated to the new version. Good work.
Just three things…
1) Can you add the POT file in the next updates to make it easier the language translation via Poedit? I don’t know Poedit very well but I’ve found the option to “update” the translation catalogue via POT files.. It will help to avoid to translate .po file at every theme update.
2) What about to add the Pinterest badge in the Social Following Widget?
3) Can you fix the search input box width in the mobile css? I see it bad with the iPhone.
Thanks.
ad1) I’ll do, but for me it works by using “Update from source” ad2) wp-admin ->CookingPress – Social Widget – check Pinterest ad3) I’ll check it!
Thanks!
Hey. Great update, love it.
I am not seeing the pinterest integration though? And also, how hard would it be to add the star ratings on the featured slider next to the titles? That is really a must for me. It should just take a quick edit to the code right?
Hi
wp-admin ->CookingPress – Social Widget – check Pinterest
I’ve tried adding it to slider, but it looks awful, this rating images works good only on bright backgrounds. Code do display rating is: You can try to add it in coda-slider.php. If you’ll find any problems, I’ll be able to help tomorrow. Thanks
No worries. I think I’ll be buying this within a day or so! Thanks for all the preliminary help.
Also, I was thinking that the title of the recipe could be moved up and you could place the rating stars upon the small rectangular white background? Or the rating stars could also be slightly smaller to figure out a way to place them onto the white.
Hi I’ve thought you’ve bought it, haven’t notice lack of badge
I’ve enabled pinterest button on livepreview.
You could add rating next to title, it won’t be a problem, I’ll help with that, I just don’t want to add it to theme because I don’t think it looks good enough.
$nf_test = implode($nutrtion_facts);I’d really like to update the theme to include the new features, but I’ve made many changes and don’t want to lose them. I’m really only hoping to include the user recipe submission template and the “pin it” button in the sidebar. The sidebar widget is probably just a drop in…how about the new template?
Hi
You’ve probably skipped one update
If you want just to have pinterest button and submit template, copy files:
template-regpost.php, template-anonpost.php, whole “backend” folder but without purepress-shortcodes.php and purepress-metaboxes.php.
For future, it’s good practice to modify themes using http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
What about the
Warning: implode() [function.implode]:I get at the beginning of all posts?Oh, sorry
It’s caused by changes in how each post holds nutrition facts. Now it’s configurable list, and you can add elements in CookingPress panel (be sure to read notice info before). In case you don’t use this informations you can just replace in purepress-shortcodes.php: withif(is_array($nutrtion_facts)) $nf_test = implode($nutrtion_facts);(it’s twice in that file).Or, if you’re using it, you need to go to CookingPress panel – Recipe Configuration and save/create new elements, then edit each posts and fill this informations.
I’m sorry it’s that way but it was done in first update a couple days after initial release, and my previous solution was just badly designed, and I’ve needed to change it. I hoped everybody updated it, without having too much posts to edit.
The pinterest button is showing up like this;
http://www.thepurestway.com/images/pinterest_button.pngPlease check in sidebar.php that in line 74 you have “count-layout=”vertical” I don’t know why it’s like that, in live preview it works fine. Do you use any other plugin for pinterest that migh be causing problem?
No Pinterest plugins. I looked through the demo and can’t spot the difference. At least it should show “0”.
I’ve tried to figure it out but I have no idea why that happens..
I’m thinking it’s one of Pinterest’s many arbitrary bugs. Ok, new thing. Set custom sidebar in page but it still displays “Sidebar Area”. In Page editor “Which Post Sidebar” is set to my custom sidebar which has been populated with widgets. Feel like I’ve tried everything!
I’ve just double checked assigning custom sidebars to posts and pages and I’m sure it works. Can I get access to your wp-admin to check what’s wrong?
Sent you the creds in an email. Thanks!
I bought this theme yesterday, great work! I’m still learning wordpress, but am a tad familiar with html. I have a couple questions
1. When i select Codaslider in cookingpress settings and also make sure my pages are using the codaslider page style, it shows, but does not transition the pictures automatically. I have 2 pictures currently set as featured photo’s and both are 700×525. If i click on pic not being displayed it will transition. Flexslider works as advertised, no issues. Also i’m using firefox.
2. is the star ratings for posts and share it that shows on left side of demo seperate widgets that i need to install, or are they incorporated into this theme? I assume they are both downloadable I just didn’t want to add more widgets if it’s already here and I just can’t find it.
I think that’s all for now, thanks again for a beautiful theme
Hi!
ad1. yes, sorry, it’s missing there for Coda slider, but it’s easy to fix. Please open ‘backend/purepress-dynjs.php’ and replace$('#coda-slider-1').codaSlider({ dynamicArrows: false, dynamicTabs: false });with$('#coda-slider-1').codaSlider({ dynamicArrows: false, dynamicTabs: false, autoSlide: true, autoSlideInterval: 4000, autoSlideStopWhenClicked: true });ad2. For ratings you have to use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-postratings/
Please read documentation included with theme package, there’s a lot of important information about additional plugins support etc.
Thank you for buying CookingPress,
Cheers!
Love your fast support, I will certainly keep my business with you! worked like a charm! I’ve scanned the documentation and can’t seem to find the widget you’re using in the “share it” section on your demo. Also anychance for a quick tip on using a border around the search box?
found the widget, sorry to be pesty. working on trying to put a border on search box now
#searchform { background: #F0F0EF; border: 1px solid #000; overflow: hidden; }
